The survey was carried out April 3-9 among 1,028 adult Poles.

Considering the recent Russia-Crimea stand off it's not surprising. At this point I find it a <possible> scenario that Russia attacks Poland and the international community, including EU and NATO, does nothing is done about it until half of the country is taken. Oh well, maybe my scenario is too pessimistic but that may reflect the state of minds of so many Poles these days.

Throughout history Poland has never been prepared for foreign invasion. The country currently has 12% unemployment? How about drafting some of those unemployed and building a reserve army?

Poland is part of the EU and NATO. If Russia attacked Poland, it would be attacking NATO.

And why the hell would Russia attack Poland? They're not even attacking Estonia, which would be much easier.
Polish medias can get quite paranoid, and people tend to believe anything they see/hear/read, unfortunately. (as pretty much everywhere in the world, this does not just apply to Poles)

I would like to know who was behind this 'survey' and who the respondents were.

Was it held at some PiS meeting? Was it held in a Church gathering in Turon where people are notoriously paranoid?

Was it carried out by an independent , objective body (probably not) or by a group who had in its interest to paint possible impending invading foreigners (not going to actual happen) in a bad light (more likely). Would this survey have anything possibly to do with the right's and far-right's desire to pick up some badly needed seats in the recent European elections?

I think we have our answer.

We should all become more aware and question what the mass media (tries to) spoon feed us.

No details are given other than it's a survey of only 1028 people in a country of 38 million people. Well under even 0.0001% of the population.

Scaremongering nonsense.

How can they prove in 23 years?

Many Poles tell me they fear Islam taking over, or the EU, or Jews are infiltrating the system, Soviet Poles, Atheist, The West. etc etc etc etc

xenophobia is driven by the fear of being taken over.

Aren't Polish fears of being taken over well justified, looking at Polish history?

Poland was invaded by Germany, Prussia, Teutons, Austrians, Russia,Kievan Rus,,Soviets, Ukrainians (Cossacks) Tatars, Mongols, Ottoman Turks, Sweden, Vikings, Denmark, and Moldovians, ect ect

Jews infilitrating the system is possible, they did under Jakub Berman, Hilary Minc, and Roman Zambrowski.

Jews also planned to make a Judeo-Polonia or Jewish state of Lublin.
