Do Poles take Kaczynski seriously!?

Some do and some don't. His slogans are nonsense, though. You cannot accommodate all your peoples' interests but he tries that through his slogans. He is a desperate little toad that is the butt of many jokes here.

there are a couple of types of PO voters - one is for example inmates - nice company you're in pawian heh

the other type is the gullible - those who cannot connect what Tomasz Misiak has written into a bill with why was not PO fighting to keep polish shipyards from returning public help - these are the people who believed in the Qatar investor for a while

btw I think it is you who were not serious actually - just read through the comments on the web (it was especially noticeable some 1 or 2 years ago) - those who bad mouthed PiS and praised PO actually almost never knew a thing about what was really going on in the country - young and gullible - young and elevated ('młodzi wykształceni z dużych miast') - now they often can't find a job heh

What about football fans who are going to vote PiS and PiS is supporting them in return? Personally, I have nothing against football fans (my students!) but the media are pointing to PiS and fans` freak coalition.

He presented his new book this week. According to him Merkel wants Germany to be a superpower that plans to subdue Poland. This imperial Germany wants to get the former German territorries of Poland back. That's why he doesn't welcome investments by German companies in Western Poland. And Merkel was installed by the Stasi (former secret service of Commie Germany).

that is just his way to monopolize on similar sentiments among some Poles. I live in Szczecin and there are many people who still believe in that. The truth is that Poles consume more and more German products, so.......in a way we have been already subdued to German power;)

A lot!! Do you even read labels carefully? About half of chemicals available (paints, cleaning products with 'famous' detergents), sweets, coffee (Kraft Jacobs Suchard, Tchibo etc.). Tchibo, Lidl and Aldi are shops with vast majority of German products - I could start ennumerating but it would take a lot of space.

NB: I was once looking for Polish sugar in Krakow and it seems an impossible feat. Everywhere there are German products of Sudzucker and Pfeifer & Langen companies, whereas I made my point to find Polish sugar from a Polish sugar company. After looking hard in every shop I've bee to, the only place I knew that had it was Bomi at Solvay Park, which is far but I drove there anyway. Sadly, they changed their supplier and now they also have only German one. So, helpless in my 'sugar crusade' I stopped using sugar for a while, until I visited Lidl. You can imagine my surprise when I saw there Polish sugar! Someone must've divided by zero.

I don't know, but I think so, or maybe the sugar factories become German-owned. And there is still Polish one. Remembering huge debates and strikes etc. over Polish sugar factories being sold for a fraction of their worth I wanted to buy Polish sugar. It's more sweet;)

Speaking of sugar... sugar is also very expensive in Poland, that's why Poles flooded supermarkets in Germany and bought so much that the supermarkets began to ration sugar. Apparently a kg costs between 1,25 and 1,70€ in Poland, but only 0,65€ in Germany.

This is that irresponsible and stupid attitude that makes problems. Always try to buy local stuff (unless it is cr@ppy). Sugar is not the key product at homes - nothing happens if you don't use sugar to your tea or coffe, right? So you can buy the local one that's a bit more expensive, otherwise you'll end up with no option but to buy Chinese garlic, Dutch tomatos and German oil for frying as there will be no Polish ones anymore. Of course, competition should reduce prices too...

don't you get the sarcasm? Anyways. German products are highly valued in Poland, and as Olaf mentioned in his post - Poland is a good market for Germany. The sugar issue is another story all together and has nothing to do with Kaczynski, or does it?;)

It's gone down a lot - last time I checked, Germany was about that price, while Poland was (still) a little bit more expensive.
