Because they have not yet adopted EURO as their currency, which Komorowski and Tusk want to do. which would help germany and france and ruin poland

If Germany and France wanted to ruin Poland, they could do it overnight. All they'd have to do is get the other Eurozone countries to agree to cut off the tap to Eastern Europe (perhaps under the guise of "emergency budget measures") and reinstate border controls on the pretext of national security - and job done.

Ah well - at least Tusk will be re-elected comfortably this year. Latest opinion poll says 45% for PO - more than enough.

and will be hated around Europe - all benevolent reputation gone in minutes - then border controls is not the same as throwing people out - Poles going to work in Germany would simply bear it -

you can't manipulate the big players in their own game - we are rookies here - and I generally don't trust those Polish people that were insiders of the EU or IMF (like Lewandowski, Krzysztof Bielecki, Marek Belka (a bit less) - those former guys were part of the Tusk's KLD and also some shady privatisations are alleged to them)

Funny, but its that the reason that you don't take him seriously? You are not serious yourself.

funny is when Tusk pretends to able to speak Englis (Inglis ;) -

just look at the confidence Tusk shows in his speech - that's how showing off ends (he has shown even hmm more? confidence when hosting Putin and Merkel in Westerplatte in 2009

well, the behaviour of Lech Kaczyński was not very nice I have to admit

That's what I was getting at. I mean, you can follow a platform without embarrassing your country in front of the world..

I could understand him

but have you seen him nearly trembling and looking like a dog about to beaten??

in my oppinion the self-confidence Mr Tusk shows (or rather shortage of it) about international leaders shows very much what a person he is

btw Tusk was definitely showing off his English to Polish voters greeting Condoleeza Rice - and there was not much to show of with -maybe some Poles were impressed - but I'm sure not many - I wasn't a bit (as far as I know Lech Kaczyński spoke better English but from what I know never showed off)

if you speak English that well just use interpreters or you look funny/strange, Mr Tusk

I took it as a gesture of goodwill, dunno. Putin speaks English the same way. Kaczynski could have played it cool and spun it in the press, but instead he sits around laughing. Hmm.

a gesture of goodwill - you are giving me a laugh - to me it is plain showing off - did it matter for Mrs Rice if he addressed her in person or through an interpreter

and to repeat myself anyone who reads body language as a professional will tell you that Tusk behaves unnaturally in the presence of the 'powerful of the world' - he gets tense etc etc

btw you wouldn't read about Tusk showing off and failing in it in the press that fights Kaczyńskis - it's war - you won't read any praise of Kaczyńskis in Gazeta Wyborcza simple as that

What is the point with that knowledge of languages, I think that politicians should speak their own language even if they know foreign languages.
I think that LK was laughing because of that propaganda spin about LK not knowing foreign languages and then along comes Tusk and is showing off with his English - Mrs Rise welcome in oland! Er ? where ?

Well both of them twins are ugly dots and odd behavior, but it is not what counts really is it, or at last what shouldn't count.

What they say and do makes sense and what Tusk say and do it make no sense.

I thought it was...as an American. Same as when tourists try to speak the local language. It's appreciated. Look at the roars of applause when Reagan threw out a couple of sentences in Russian in Moscow...JFK in Berlin...

JK doesn't even attempt to speak English (I'm not saying that he has to). Tusk did alright when Condo was here. JFK was laughed at for saying he was a doughnut/donut :)

they were talking to big native publics (and they were not showing off - a PR stunt is not always showing off wouldn't you agree)

Tusk was clearly trying to show off in front of the cameras - and he failed to impress - and he was very unnatural in this gesture (i.e. pushed himself to do it)

even people (Polish) who I know to dislike Kaczyńskis with passion were ridiculing Tusk for that (and also noticed that he is very tense with his international guests in general)

if I weren't the president and would be present at the scene I would laugh even more :P - Kaczyński misbehaved but it was Tusk who was making and idiot of himself - tryign to show off with such 'modest' English

he's a poor politician... lacks professionalism... słoma z butow... Tusk ain't perfect, but he tried, and Kaczynski probably didn't have any idea what Tusk is saying... :)

anyway, stay away... :)

yah, you keep saying that over and over again, yet I still think that Kaczynski didn't know how to behave. If he had something against Tusk, the international meeting is NOT a place to deal with such disagreements.

Do you understand that such thing should be discussed in private? Again, if you don't see anything wrong with the way the Duck showed his stupid face, then I really question your judgement.

After seeing this video I cannot believe the idiot was representing a country. Any country for that matter.

He doesn't look like a sane person to me.

I actually admire Tusk for keeping his cool instead of punching the stupid moron in the face.

BUT, I think it was a nice gesture. I actually saw it live, thought it was alright.

Exactly he seemed like someone who tried to be nice and accommodating towards his guest whereas the village fool to his right…. got what he deserved in the end. And to think he was buried among the Poland’s finest, seriously they should exhume his body and dump it into the moat.

aczynski probably didn't have any idea what Tusk is saying... :)

Lech Kaczyński could definitely understand English enough to understand every word Tusk was saying - his command of spoken English was definitely not good though but he never tried to show off with his English (like Tusk did in this case - a pure PR stunt - and a failed one in my eyes - shows how insecure Tusk is - propably because he needs to lie everyday almost on every topic and often feign someone who he is not)

haha... that's like saying that you are showing off right now with your English on PF...

yet I still think that Kaczynski didn't know how to behave. If he had something against Tusk, the international meeting is NOT a place to deal with such disagreements.

agree!

yeah - read the body language - pushing yourself to do something means you don't really mean what you say - nice - OMG - if that was nice then I am Brad Pitt - there are much better ways to show somebody they are welcome than this - even the body language can show your guest you are welcoming them - what Tusk did is say something and provide completely different message through body language - if you can't tell it for the PR stunt it was (meant to impress Polish voters) then I don't know what you can actually tell - btw Donald Tusk never again acted like this (never showed off with his English in front of cameras) AFAIK clearly because he knew the thing with Condoleeza was an utter failure PR-wise

I honestly don't know what you mean - was Lech Kaczyński showing off with his English on any occasion - I just don't - maybe he did and you know something I don't

check;)

Seriously what's the latest election prognosis? They are going to lose, right?

they have to, otherwise this country will become unbearable. There is already a spilt between PIS and the rest- whatever their association is. The family members and friends stopped talking to each other because of that and I am not making this up. I think that Poland is already a country (the PIS, Rudzyk/Radio Maryja) within a country.

Kaczyński is as much Jewish as your dick is 2 feet long, so now prove it (the length of your dick) !

2. Kaczyński is correct keeping the Poland strong and well respected, and there is NO reason to allow that some jack asses from communist Europe will the will to disdain Poland.

There is no worst forecast for Poland as to get to close to Russia.

Russia is like very bad and abusive parents, having such is definitively better to be an orphan!

.... and my advice, keep your antisemitic opinions under your skin.

Have you ever tried to play Russian roulette?

=born2befree]Any one who lives abroad know or should know that Kaczyński is the sole and the only salvation for Poland, he is the only one who can save Poland.

Thanks for saying it at the beginning. I saved me further reading this BS. :):):):)
