Poles, Polonians and aliens on Pussy Riot?

No-one is questioning that. It is the old story of hand washes hand. It was the Chruch that hotly protested against the blasphemous spectacle and since the Church had supported Puitn, his adminsiutartion had no choice but to react. Later the Church itslef called for mercy saying the sentence had been too harsh.

they were jailed because they angered Putin, they weren't just protesting the Church, they were also critical of Putin,If the church wasn't so connected to Putin, they never would have gotten so stiff a penalty

I repeat, this is kiddie play compared to actually breaking into a mosque and doing something equivalent to what the PR ******* did at Moscow cathedral. They would be massacred for it. Compared to that the Russian law was very kind. They could have recorded their "punk prayer" 10.000 times in every rhythym known to man and the law would not touch them. Yet they chose to vandalize a religious place and do a public lewd performance in a place of worship. And this was the culmination of a stream of attention seeking acts of sh!tdom, like a public orgy at a museum and one of them masturbating with a chicken leg in a supermarket.

Itt, idjits defending these bimbos are either biased ideologues or anti-russian sissy libruls who like to whine about everything single thing they hear.

PlasticPole,Putin would have gotten them sooner or later;even the church said that the sentence was too harsh,it's about who they made mad and I agree that it wouldn't have gotten the attention had they done it elsewhere. They gave Putin the perfect excuse.

I am not a Putin fan but I don't like the idea of people going to places like this and being allowed to do whatever they see fit. I totally disagree with that idea. Let them protest in a public place. I have no problem with protesting and believe it is a fundamental human need and right but I disagree with the idea that it's fine to do whatever you want whenever you want. There has to be some order or all you have is chaos and chaos never did anyone any good.

Kondzior,I don't defend their actions in the church,I'm saying that had they not angered Putin that this sentence would not have been passed.Kondzior,go look in random and then tell me that picture was taken in the church.I heard nothing about vandalism and that picture doesn't prove a thing.

P3undone, a lot of people have been protesting Putin as of late in the streets of Moscow without going to prison.

PlasticPole,This sends a message,Look what happened in march during those protests a lot of people were arrested.
PlasticPole  7 | 2641

But that happens at many protests around the world, even the ones here carried out by OWS. Most the time, certain protesters end up getting arrested.

PlasticPole,Not if the protest is peaceful and those protests were peaceful.People become afraid of bands because they can really incite numbers as there music reaches everywhere.Look what happened here in the 60's.The government was heavy handed and it was wrong. It's not quite like that today over here. The occupy movement is a good example. The government was very tolerable of that.

a lot of people were arrested

Would you like to compare it to the UK?

6 months in prison for a drunken rant?? Ironic that 1984 is compulsory reading, when the British society is gradually becoming an Orwellian nightmare

The government was very tolerable of that.

True, but there were still arrests and local governments got to the point where they said "enough" and stopped them. That's what happened to our OWS protest. Governments tend to get antsy about protests, even in countries like the US. They don't like the idea the protest can spin out of control and people could get injured.

PlasticPole, they weren't arrested in droves and they were tolerated it.It was a peaceful demonstration, which is why the Government tolerated it.If those protests had been specifically against Obama, they still would have tolerated it.I believe that Putin will tighten his grip and start to become more aggressive towards the demonstrators as time goes on.Musicians are definitely the ones you want to stop.

Kondzior,That was not the same picture and you know it.The one in random was taken on the street and anyone who decides to take a look in random will see this.Where is the vandalism in the picture you posted above? As for the woman in the UK;She threatened to punch the guy in the face and harassed the people as well. She had done this before. Not the same type of situation, wouldn't you say?Why did you post my quote under the picture? As I was clearly talking about the protests immediately after Putin's election as anyone can read in what I had posted earlier in this thread.

What is "random" you keep refering to?
Previously I posted two pictures, that you deleted for some reason. One got ******'ed because it had pus*y in the title, it was the same scene, just from different angle, the other was re-painted Saint Marry portrait.

Not the same type of situation, wouldn't you say.Why did you post my quote under that as I was clearly talking about the protests immediately after Putin's election as anyone can read in what I had posted earlier in this thread

The link to dailymail, because this is the thing that is shocking to me. You cannot jail someone for crazy things we all talk when drunk. It is normal for anyone, who is into heavy drinking. Jailing such a people, I see it as much worse, then arrests of some political activists.

They did cross a line going into a church like that and if the book wasn't thrown at them, could be much, much worse when others get the signal they can do what they want. That church looks mighty fancy and they don't give a flip about it. It would be disconcerting to think others might be encouraged to take it to another level and damage such places by vandalizing them all in the name of "protesting Putin." It would be a shame to lose some of these lovely old churches over it.

Kondzior, first of all the picture is #2,298 in random and I removed it because of the way you referenced the girls.I don't know of the other picture your talking about. If you threaten some one screaming and yelling in their face drunk or not you usually get in trouble point blank.Would you mind answering the questions that I asked you about post #162?

??????

If you threaten some one screaming and yelling in their face drunk or not you usually get in trouble point blank.

A night in sobering up center would suffice. A 6 month in prison is beyond absurd.

Would you mind answering the questions that I asked you about post #162?

What question?

Kondzior,What's with the ?????? it's #2,298 pg.77 in random. As for the woman in the UK,it's said that she could get 6 months, doesn't mean she will and this is quite a weak comparison to the riot situation. The woman had also pulled an alarm which stopped the train. She had made a nuisance of herself once before.Being drunk is not an excuse for that kind of behavior;if you do that kind of stuff when your drinking,it's time to stop drinking.I doubt she'll get 6 months. She'll probably be ordered to get treatment.

The pic is on pg.77 and it's post no. will change as more posts are binned.right now it's #2,299.I'm pretty sure you know what pic I'm referring to though and if anyone should take a look they will see that that Pic was surely taken on the street.

Poland's TVN24, WybiĆ³rcza and other purportedly 'progressive' (leftist-liberal) media are obviously glorifying *****

Two years is probably too much. I think 6 months in prison or labour camp would be enough. If they repeated their act, then 2 years would be appropriate.

PS. You can`t do everything you want to. The Imp of Perverse must be contained.

You are probably right, Pawian but I don't feel sorry for them. They knew what they were doing. Maybe they will think twice about going into a church or business and doing their thing without asking first or anything. You know with all the terrorism, that can scare a lot of people. It's not the same as taking to the streets with signs.

No problem with the girls trying to demonstrate against Putin but not keen on them personally. 2 years is a bit harsh, although it is Putin, so not surprised.

Last week's verdict on ***** Riot sparked a wave of condemnation abroad, including Germany. RT's Peter Oliver takes up the story.

These people just seem stupid, they protested in the wrong church in the wrong country, attention seeking.

But Russia Today is a very bad news source, It's one of the only two channels I have on the idiot box in English and it's laughable how it still looks at the world through the cold war's eyes, so they are delighted that it has happened in Germany, after Germany saying to Russia that the penalty was too severe to ***** Riot.

Why is ***** blocked?

I dont see mass protests about the German girls. Its so obvious the west hates Russia and probably Eastern Europe.
RT is still better than anything here in the West (BBC, CNN, FOX, CBC, etc, etc) by miles.
