People says that EU bringing many nice things to Poland. Tell me about it

The new wave of polish migration after EU enlargement

I think this has had a positive effect in several ways. They send billions of Euro back to Poland, I remember it made up a % of Poland's GDP. The unemployment rate went down in Poland because about 2 million people emigrated. Wages had to increase in Poland to keep the people from leaving. Work and experience that emigrants possibly would not have got if they'd have stayed. And then just the general freedom to travel and experience other countries. EU bringing many nice things to Poland >>>

Entrepreneurs conducted 14,500 subsidized projects with the total value of PLN 16.6 billion (EUR 4.7 billion).

Poland will receive 67,28 billion Euro from European Union for the years 2007-2013

The Polish tourism sector was funded with nearly 231 mln euro from the European subsidies.

European Funds

The two greatest things about the E.U. are the freedom to travel and the investment such as in improving infrastructure.

Man, for the 1.000th time. I am German and I criticize my country where I think it's necessary.

Have you criticized Serbia where necessary? ;)

What the EU brought to Poland? Count the thousands of yellow billboards announcing investement in infrastructure anywhere in this country. And on basically every one of them you see "financed by the EU".

It was one of the first things I noticed in Ireland and Ireland is obviously an island, so although it helped the ramifications for good infrastructure in the centre of Europe (I am speaking about Poland now) will be felt for generations.

@SeanBM:
I am aware that Serbia is far from perfect, but of you here on PF are stubbornly following the cliche and the 'official truth' about Serbia.

I am introducing a different approach to the topic and counterweight to your narrow perspective.

He won't...you know...."My country right or wrong!"...

@BB:
That's the way authoritarian types like you think: 'Always defend your country.' No critics allowed.
Theodor W. Adorno was explaining by that the phenomenon of acceptance of fascism in Germany.
Imagine now 1939. You know on which side you would be. I myself would be definitely in exile.

Maybe that what I wrote is beyond your comprehension, but try.

Water: The Forgotten Crisis

ScienceDaily (July 14, 2008) - This year, the world and, in particular, developing countries and the poor have been hit by both food and energy crises. As a consequence, prices for many staple foods have risen by up to 100%. When we examine the causes of the food crisis, a growing population, changes in trade patterns, urbanization, dietary changes, biofuel production, and climate change and regional droughts are all responsible. Thus we have a classic increase in prices due to high demand and low supply.

The causes of water scarcity are essentially identical to those of the food crisis. There are serious and extremely worrying factors that indicate water supplies are steadily being used up. Essentially every calorie of food requires a liter of water to produce it.

No you're not, most Serbians agreed with the governments policies of ethnic cleansing, in fact they not only agreed, but carried out the policies with such a determination that it shocked the world...

you are completely brainwashed by EU and NATO oriented media. But its not that bad. You are just mental victim of those conglomerates while they didn`t torture you physically. They are capable to send mujaheedines on you or to use depleted uranium

dt, your full of sh1t. Your comments are just like playback of the well spread stereotypes.
Educate yourself and then come back here. If you do not have anything new or interesting to say about the topic hence lack of knowledge, better enjoy a beer or sth.

Just an example: Germans agreed with the politics of A. Hitler and policies of ethnic and racial cleansing, 'besides' the war. They even in fact not only agreed but actively carried out the policies with such a determination that shocked the world...

How does that sound to you?

So that's a 'NO' then :)

Of course I criticize Serbia(politics, whatever) where it is necessary.

Yeah, just bs, my comments come from people who served in Serbia and had to watch as Serbs entered villages knowing full well they would not encounter resistance if they murdered a few families.

politics of A. Hitler

Oh god, you have just used the Hitler argument against me. Do you know what is commonly known as the "hitler argument"? When you have no other choice but to back your arguments up with .... what would Hitler do....

Emmm... You might have had a point if you were talking about Germany bailing out the Greeks or something a bit more sane but saying that the E.U. wants water from Poland because it is scarce in the desert is insane.

Water: The Forgotten Crisis

Making up scare tactics is not your forte, Poland wasn't even mentioned in that article.

Might as well talk about the melting icecaps and how it is the E.U.'s fault and how they need Polish cold winters to resupply it...

you are completely brainwashed by EU and NATO oriented media.

This is what this thread is about really, a crazy Serb that hates the E.U. and wants a "Slavic nation". And instead of debating the overwhelming good that the E.U. has and is doing for Poland you come up with an equatorial water shortage.

Of course I criticize Serbia(politics, whatever) where it is necessary.

I missed that, where have you done this?

Is that not also happening in the wars your country is leading? Iraq? Afghanistan? No civilian casualties there? Even friendly fire?
Did you have the chance to go to wikileak?

this is how you portrait things? this is your contribution to this forum and to Poland? do you love Poland?

Anyway, before we continue, let it be clear... i am all for sustainable life in balance with nature but,... countries and civilizations have to behave according to their real situation. Real situation within Slavic civilization is that governments in Slavic countries controls approximately 1/5 of total land masses on the Earth altogether with enormous resources and water potentials. Therefore, Pan-Slavic organizations suggests minimum four children per family in every Slavic country. Meaning, resources of entire Slavic civilizations could manage to sustainable support such a demographic growth of Slavs accompanied by technological development and economic progress. But, problems is that most of Slavic countries aren`t independent but their development depend on necessities and problems of those who controls Slavic countries.

Samir Ismail does not hide the fact that the Muslim League is a member of FIOE. Currently, FIOE which presents itself as an independent organisation defending the interests of Muslims forms a federation of 28 member organisations from EU and Turkey. Moldavia, Ukraine and Russia. It has its headquarters in Brussels in order to lobby the institutions of the union.

According to the report, issued in 2008, of American Foundation NEFA, established after 9/11 in order to fight against Islamic terrorism, FIOE is "a cover-up" which "unites the members of Muslim Brotherhood in Europe."

In my opinion the politicians in Serbia should try to be more resistant to the EU/US&A, but since they are without power, it is hopeless. It would have been better to balance the politics more, like in YU times. Cooperation with US and Russia by maintaining its position.

2. Most of the info here on PF about Serbia is biased. Fact.

Kaczynski was wise politician, Polish patriot, aware of EU, NATO reality and also aware of specific Polish role within the Slavic civilization. But, it didn`t saved him. The European Commission has stepped up efforts to prevent the Russian energy giant Gazprom from reaching an accord with Poland that would lock the country into long-term natural gas contracts, hindering diversification of Poland's, and Europe's, energy sources and making Warsaw more dependent on Russia for its gas.

This is the main idea when Crow start the thread. You must be open minded and believe whatever they say without thinking :). So it will never be accepted or taken seriously or discussed by thread starter if you say anything positive about EU. U.S. but not my beloved Serbia, even though I say I am a "German" picture?

You are humiliating Serbs (including me now) when you are assuming that any of us is declaring himself/herself as a German.

That is possible only in fantasy world. Germans are people who historically behaved most consistently as a Serbian enemy, I think almost without any exception.

They are responsible for more than a million of Serbian deaths. Vice versa not.

Think again. It looks like the simplest solution, but it's unfortunately completely illogical.

Serbian nationalist /patriot is proud to be a Serb, so he will NEVER ever say that he is a German. Nothing can justify that.

So, think again.

Serbs hate Germans, we even have a saying....." He/She hates him like he is a German"....of course since we had a "democratic revolution" in 2000. you can rarely hear it.

Do I get a certificate?

I'm sure you can easily get one.
