Accession of Turkey to the European Union

Turks no longer want to be part of the EU. Turkey's joining is also not supported by Germany, which, you've already mentioned, runs the EU.

Poland Recognizes Kosovo

Poland recognized Kosovo as an independent state Feb. 26. The decision has drawn criticism from across the political spectrum and the Polish Embassy in Belgrade has been temporarily closed for security reasons.

and my favorite part, more Poles are intermarrying and having children with fellow proto-Slavs, the Germans, Anglo-Saxons, and Celts.

Yeah...here in the EU we are one big happy proto-slavic family....come join Slavija Crowie!!!

Yup, the EU put a gun to the governments head. Interesting side note, quite a few Poles seem to support recognition of Kosovo..Will of the people?

PS, interesting PF factoid. There are more topics started here by Serbians on Kosovo than by Poles on Kresy :)

Turks no longer want to be part of the EU.

I know a guy here who is really well educated, Turkish and doesn't think it's a good idea either. Apparently a lot of the educated classes are dead against it in Turkey.

I really wish the governments would now actually start acting after the will of their people...neither do the EUers want the Turks nor do the Turks want the EUers!

So please stop the horrible game about pretending to work towards a future membership already now! Please!

We need Croatian beaches in EU! Let them in! :-)

..if you like to lay on stones when sunbathing... Are you a fakir?

Apparently a lot of the educated classes are dead against it in Turkey.

They have probably a good prediction what might happen. EU is nothing solid right now. Better join some other club.

PS, interesting PF factoid. There are more topics started here by Serbians on Kosovo than by Poles on Kresy :)

That shows only who has balls! No offence.

what with the serbs DNA being 25% arab

I don't consider that as bad. Many Arabs are known as beautiful people. Can't remember the name of one of the top models of Victoria's secret....Yamila Diaz-Rahi. She's from Lebanese decent.

There are sandy beaches as well. Most of the islands have beaches... BTW, why not just lay on your terrace when sunbathing? Much nicer than the beach.

That shows only who has balls! No offence.

Well, those gigantic balls didn't get the Serbs very far, so it's probably not a good idea for the Poles to follow suit. Especially considering that Poland is on the up...

For the islands you' re right, but the rest... just rocks.
Terrace for sunbathing? You don't like the sea and the chicks there, right?

We'll see. The story or how to say the game is not over. It's over when the 'referee' says so...even though it's not looking too promising.

Poland on the up? For what price? Who is 'on the up' there?
Polish' last president was the only one who showed the EU some resistance and did not fall for all the fairy tales they tell...but that's now done.

So PL, where do you go?

My place in Split is about 500m from Bacvice, pretty sandy :)

Well, Poland can leave the EU at any time. Most people are living much better than they did 10 years ago... That's a pretty good indicator of "on the up" I suppose.

What did he do to stand up to the might evil EU? Nothing. Just a bit of talk for the masses, he knew exactly what he was doing.

I hope so that he knew what he did. Evil EU? Your not serious I hope. That's a little too simplified.
The old 'axis' is rolling again. That's ok for you? What about the 'sense of community'?

I met Poles during holiday and they who I spoke to miss the 'old times'. Seems that money is not all after all.

Yeah...what about?

All those who whine about mighty bad Germans holding up the hands for money at the same time I might ask where is YOUR sense of community? What about you helping Germany with the task of the re-unification? Or during the crisis???

Remind about your support please...because I can't remember any. Even as Germany was worn down by the brunt of the task it was gloated at as the "sick man of Europe" but still demanded of to pay her full share to keep the EU and you slackers running!

"Sense of community" should go two ways, don't you think?

But as Germans see it your sense of community goes only so far to see Germany as the eierlegende Wollmilchsau which should shut up otherwise or else it's called "axis" and whatnot.

That does more for endangering any "sense of community" than anything else.

I met Poles during holiday and they who I spoke to miss the 'old times'. Seems that money is not all after all.

Ostalgia!
You find that everywhere...it's human. But in the end the youth will win out and they don't want any of that back ;)

Poland ready to give ground on EU constitution

Poland vowed flexibility yesterday in stalled negotiations with France and Germany over a European Union constitution, saying the charter's approval could be delayed by years unless a compromise is found soon.

Irish Prime Minister Bertie Ahern, whose country currently chairs the EU and is leading negotiations, urged movement from key players and saw no point in dragging the talks out.

"We declare our flexibility, but the same flexibility must be showed by the other side," Polish Foreign Minister Wlodzimierz Cimoszewicz told a news briefing.

Yeahhhh, Crow is back!

is this the warcry?

Accession of Serbia to the European Union

you have wrong informations. If Serbia ever become member of EU it won`t be joining (or accession) but it would be simple annexation by EU.

But, this way or another, in a next decades, importance of Belgrade (Serbian Capital) for Europe would arise dramatically, in comparison to the Brussels- that would be less and less popular, same as other so called major European cities... London, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam,...

what i want to tell you, many would sing and dance in Serbian >>> our old, traditional Slaveno-Celtic rhythm >>>

Well...as brave warriors the Serbs are they will surely fight the annexation with all they have, won't they! With you of course first on the front line! You won't just surrender without a fight as you did with Kosovo....oopsie...

So you are saying that the Serbia officially DIDN'T applied for European Union membership on 22 December 2009?

That is strange because the negotiations have been going on for a lot longer and your government is still desperately trying to get in but for now, you'll have to wait.

Not that I am against/for Serbia joining but I think Crow and Sascha need to to take a look at their own country before pointing fingers;

current Serbian government and president are imposed on Serbian people and citizens of Serbia by the dictate of German, French, USA and British ambassadors in Serbia (its well known fact here and was even on TV). Not to mention that ruling regime come to power after the NATO attack on Serbia in 1999

its a public farce

and Holland play major role here because of Srebrenica case. That is the biggest joke for European public. They still avoiding to speak about genocide on Srebrenca Serbs (more then 3000 man, woman and children was massacred on most bestial ways) done by worse Arab mujaheedines in the middle of Europe, that happened in UN protected (!) zone, under Holland`s supervision. Genocide on Serbs is only and real Srebrenica genocide.

Real scandal is that Holland practically took part in genocide on Serbs.

Not that I am against/for Serbia joining but I think Crow and Sascha need to to take a look at their own country before pointing fingers;

well thank you. See... same sentence you can use when you talk to your girl/wife (or to your boyfriend; if God gave up from you), when you tries to tell her to shut up. Just insert name and word nonsenses, instead of word politics. Of course, instead of PF insert yourself.

A big winner. Very big. Warsaw is a building site at the moment, Poland is getting infrastructure, business subsidies, millions and millions. And of course a million Poles have been able to work legally in the UK. Without the EU, none of this would be.

The new wave of polish migration after EU enlargement - current state, determinants and outlook

mpra.ub.uni-muenchen.de/18596/

Following Poland's accession to the EU there has been a major change in outward migration patterns from Poland. In the last three years Poland has witnessed an increased outflow of workers, especially to Great Britain and Ireland, two countries that opened up their labour markets as early as in May...
