Poland's Justice Minister, Z. Ziobro appeals to Kora (and won't face State Tribunal)

PAP on Sunday reported Solidarity Poland leader Zbigniew Ziobro writing to vocalist Kora (real name Olga Jackowska) and calling on her to stop promoting drugs. "You are a public person and for many people an authority of sorts. I am therefore appealing to you to stop participating in a drug-promotion campaign of which you have become a hopefully unwitting symbol." During a search police found 2.83 grammes of marijuana at Kora's home for which, if convicted, she could face up to three years in jail. Her defenders cynically contend that the package of grass sent to her home was addressed to her dog.

You and you alone, it seems. Even the Dear Leader had enough of Ziobro.

Kora (some call her Korwa) illustrates the popular saying: z tyłu liceum z przodu muzeum.

Merged: Ziobro won't face State Tribunal

Zbginiew Ziobro, justice minister during the rule of the PiS-led coaltion, will not have to be tried by the State Tribunal, the Sejm voted on Friday. Platformer revanchists had tirelessly worked for years to harass and discredit him and villify the IV RP which sought to weed out criminals and former communist collaborators who enjoyed PO protection.

Justice has finally been done. After 25th October he will hopefully be able to continue going after corrupt politicans and assorter scammers.

Actually, a majority that voted in the Sejm voted to take him to the State Tribunal. The problem was that only 271 voted in favour, and 276 votes were needed (a 3/5ths majority of the entire Sejm).

The fact that Ziobro has escaped now should be a lesson to him, and means that he's almost certainly going to come under investigation when he loses parliamentary immunity.

loses parliamentary immunity.

He will surely get re-elected and not lose his immunity andthus be able to effectively continue the noble IV RP project (regardless of what it will be called!), exposing all the dirty secrets the Platfus clique had swept under the carpet.

there been dozen investigations,he and kaczynski were cleared of any wrongdoings.this is typical POlshewic comedy.POscum ant its tactic ..8 fokin years they been accusing, prosecuting and dragging him to tribunal...

it a show for PO idiotic voters-yet another one chance to dance on Blida grave..thats how they won last election-by scaring public with "criminal" dictators from PIS.this sh.it not working anymore.

I'm always amazed by the way that politicians from a party such as PIS which is supposedly in favour of crusading against corruption hide behind immunity when they are charged with abuse of power and/or corruption. But I suppose that they are only taking their lead from the most senior PIS official, president Duda, who is hiding behind immunity instead of facing trial for corruptly enriching himself at the expense of the tax-payer.

He will surely get re-elected and not lose his immunity

Why does he need immunity unless he is guilty of something?

If he had done nothing wrong, he would be happy to face the State Tribunal, wouldn't he?

Yes, it's very strange that they would vote against it. Perhaps they are actually soft on crime.

We can perhaps add this to the list of PiS members and crime.

Most commentators agree that PO won the last election by being a competent government and winning most votes. As for what is and is not working, it seems that PIS' arrogance, blatant corruption and acting as if they had already won the next election have already started driving voters away from them and towards PO. My only concern is that this process has started too soon.

PIS certainly are soft on the crime that is committed by those whose motto is 'Teraz K*rwa My".

you need to put him against tribunal.he cant do it himself

No, but he could have told his fellow Teraz K*rwa My crew to vote in favour of him going before a state tribunal. Why didn't he do that? Why didn't they vote for him to go before a state tribunal despite him not asking them to vote that way?

why bother? what so strange that he didnt want to get involve in this PO comedy? he got class, and no time for this BS

man..i read hes interview today...he said,he was 100% sure PO was going to pass it and put him against tribunal....he was laughing after and called PO -losers

So in other words, he had the chance to clear his name, but instead - he chose to oppose the chance to do so. That makes no sense for someone who claims to be interested in genuine justice.

What an original definition of 'class' you have.

So in other words, he had the chance to clear his name, but instead - he chose to oppose the chance to do so. That makes no sense for someone who claims to be interested in genuine justice.

But it's entirely in keeping with what we can expect from PIS.

prosecutors cleared his name 50 times. all whats happeneing now is joke for silly public,PO voters

justice? since when political party voting delivers justice? those people in PO were threatened with severe consequences if not show in sejm fo this voting...is that how justice is made?

i remember someone said...
those who loves justice and sausages, should never be allowed to see,how both are made...-or somthng like that.
its politycal spectacle not a justice being made here.

yes..thats how i see it:
Ziobro is Gandalf, beacon of justice and divine truth who Orcs are trying to kill now, using dirty tactics.they got Boromir(kaminski) but this time they failed..Gandalf said to this legislation act "you shall not pass"and orks failed in their devious attempt

yea...that's how it happened.

PO won the last election

...they won by creating a well-oiled, highly effective hate industry whose sole purpose was PiS-bashing and spreading the propaganda to voters "anybody but PiS". And it worked, for 8 years, but as Lincoln said: "You can't fool all of the people all of the time!"

just to remind you that there were 60 criminal proceedings and 2 parliamentary inquiries against him..and nothing was found...
this is for those here who scream about some justice necessity
i know that facts and reality means little for you guys...you are like them NKVD,you would shoot ppl in the back of the head if they r not with you.

You do realise that it's a feature of almost every single parliamentary assembly for parties to operate in this way? PiS (and everyone else) will do the same at important votes. I think the US Congress is quite unique for having such loose party discipline.

maybe..but thats not how justice operate in my book.its like 3 wolves and a sheep voting ,who they gonna eat for dinner

i mean what the chances are to successful prosecute him through tribunal after 60 attemps of criminal prosecution him failed.and 2 PO launched and led parliamentary inquiries -found nothing..

second... tribunal is for major offences not for some maladministration thingies.
if PO want to set new standards in prosecuting through tribunal, they should think twice, cus parliament gonna change soon.thats double edged sword
