Jurisprudence III RP style -- triumph of lawlessness in Poland

Polonius3  980 | 12275
21 Apr 2016 /  #1
Today a court sentenced Zygmunt Miernik to 10 months in prison for throwing a torte at a judge to protest against the lawlessness of Poland's court system. He was protesting against granting effective impunity to communist criminals such as Jaruzelski, Kociołek, Kiszczak and others who were never punished and never atoned for their crimes.

There are those now raising a rumpus allegedly in defence of judicial legality but where was the authority, dignity or sanctity of a judicial system which had a quarter of a century but proved incapable of bringing criminal with blood on theri hands to justice, remarked former disdsident Zofia Romaszewska.

It took 17 years to try Kiszczak who was given a suspended sentence and never saw ther inside of a jail cell except when he was interrogating and torturing freedom-fighters back in the day.

Of course he won't, in the brave new world of PiS, Ziobro simply refuses to put anyone to prison if he doesn't personally agree with the verdict. You don't have to be a genius to see how this one ends, except I can't wait to see people like Greggy turning into PiS haters when they personally suffer because of it.

Smells of Nazism. Beware the knock on the door Grzegorz. They are coming for you too.

So you'd let him off scot-free since you dislike the rule of law? Perhaps you'd have let Eligiusz Niewiadomski off as well...

Smells of exactly that.

PiS haters

All PiS haters/bashers should have their heads examined. It's a serious mental affliction known as psychoPiSosis requiring treatment in a confined environment (popularly known as the loony bin or funny farm).

you'd let him off scot-free

You supported the governments that let known murderers Jaruzelski, Kociołek, Kiszczak and their helpers muddle through III RP unscathed and you call that the rule of law. Only a BB could be brainless (maybe henceforth it should be BBB) enough to compare bullets, abductions and lethal beatings to a a slapstick cake toss.

Alive and well, we Poles dont want the fourth republic project and as a nation we are not vindictive about the past. We respect the law not ziobros kangaroo courts

Got to agree with Polonius on this one. I was here in the 80s, and saw my in-laws' revulsion and the rush to turn off the television whenever the criminal interior minister general and the one with the idiot sunglasses were on screen.

Still, if there is a hell........ ........ So cheer up Polonius!

Being Polish yes my opinion is valid.

And no I have never ever heard anybody tell me they dont like the third republic or that they want the law stopping.

Polomius you sound really filled with hate. If your a Christian then you should look long and hard at your conscience and ask your self if your Demons are winning.

I bet youre a good guy underneath it and dont mean what you say here

Spot on - this really is something that is a genuine risk...

Perhaps you'd have let Eligiusz Niewiadomski off as well...

I notice there was no response to that one...

filled with hate

So what do you think of the PO's hate industry? Spawned in 2005 when they were shocked and traumatised by their dual defeat, and it's been with them ever since. The opposing party is not your political rival -- according to PO -- but your mortal enemy who must be reviled, discredited and smeared at every turn. Them are the facts whether anyone likes 'em or not!

You have to move on and look at the future. Don't be so negative there are good and bad on all sides

Perhaps you'd have let Eligiusz Niewiadomski

You certainly would. He fits in nicely with fellow-murdererss Jaruzelski, Kiszczak, Kociołek not to mention the Kosher legion: Berman, Romkowski, Mietkowski, Fejgin, Brystygier, Wolińska, Różański, Morel, Michnik and many others of the "chosen race".

look at the future

But the PO hate industry is the past, present and future all rolled into one with the difference that Petru has recnetly hopepd aboard the PiS-bashing bandwagon. The PiS government are looking to the future and not only cleaning up the mess left by PO but forging ahead wtih good, pro-Polish legislation for a change. Whereas PO eagerly served foreign-interest groups and enjoyed the kickbacks that gave them, PiS serve the Polish nation first. last and always!

They have to serve the interests of Poles but don't all Polish governments. You should see what we have over here now a self defeating government

that Petru has recnetly hopepd aboard the PiS-bashing bandwagon

Together with the rest of the country. People have had enough, and after a very short time, hence the strength of the Polish pro-democracy movement.

entirely innocent

So paid Stalinist killers and torturers are innocent in your books. It figures, anyone who believes a slapstick stunt like a cake toss is worse than physical extermination really is sick. Maybe the deviation has already spread to your brain.

Across the Atlantic

You'll find that the whole political landscape is different over here, and in fact the misdeeds of PiS and their whole philosophy has a lot to do with the 1920s and 1930s in Europe - a very dark time for our continent.

Basically, they despise the democratic process (as we can see from some of the bile in this thread) and believe they have a sort of 'divine right' to rule.

really is sick. Maybe the deviation has already spread to your brai

As well as to wail, scream, slander and malign - basically all the tricks of the National Socialists in Germany or the Falangists in Spain.

Pure fascism.

wail, scream, slander and malig

So the Petru-Schetyna clique are is fascistic. Hmm, I never thought of that, but they certainly are using no-holds-barred totalitarian tactics to destroy their poltical opponents. Total opposition is a total lie because claiming your oppoennts are devoid of a single redeeming factor is always untrue, Even Hitler created the Autobahn and VW and did away with unemployment. Even PO had a couple of redeeming factors like backing down on ACTA and ridding the country of Tusk.

the kickbacks

I'm sure you don't expect GW to headline such goings-on. Maximum discretion is the key. Gesheftist Michnik is an expert in that field.

every Polish government stands up for Poland

I admire youir optimism, but I wonder how closely you're following Polish affairs. You know the disloyal oppositon tried to derail a superbly qualified Polish candidate to the EU Auditors' Tribunal, because he was from PiS. PO not only snitched on Poland but actually helped draft the EP resolution condemning the country's democratically elected government. Schetyna back in January pledged to unseat the current government by "street and Brussels" -- noisy street protests and sntiching to the EU. And on that one point at least he has been true to his word.
