Don't go to Poland ... because you could end up coming back in a coffin

accusing a whole country and whole people about racism is really ridiculous

You've missed the point.

The documentary (great film) doesn't accuse anyone of anything or say anything about a whole country or people. It is about violent football hooliganism in two different countries that isn't really being addressed by the authorities there. It is topical since those countries are hosting a tournament at a time when racism in football is under scrutiny.

Anyone who thinks otherwise has either got the wrong end of the stick or is over-sensitive.

1. It isn't great film.
2. It isn't true that authorities doesn't do anything about that. In fact security is quite good.
3. It isn't really racism. Just some hooligans like to fight each others. Well in fact there was some black players in Poland and there was no problems with that. Well just watch MIchael Ansley (black former NBA player) has to say about Poland.

1. It was very enjoyable viewing.
2. The issue has been ignored, and as the film shows, has got out of hand to the point that the police have to use water cannons.

3. You're confusing two things. The Polish and Ukrainian hooligan scum can do whatever they want with each other. when they start doing Hitler salutes and writing graffiti about a race, religion or nationality it is racism.

1. Well i don't share your taste.

2. The issue has been ignored, and as the film shows, has got out of hand to the point that the police have to use water cannons.

2. You can't compare normal football play with Euro 2012. It is just plain stupid to think like that.

3. You're confusing two things. The Polish and Ukrainian hooligan scum can do whatever they want with each other. when they start doing Hitler salutes and writing graffiti about a race, religion or nationality it is racism.

3.1. They are not scums. It is big simplification. In fact there are some good ppl there. I met few.
3.2. Very few of them support nazi. Like in any other country.
3.3. There is nothing bad in writing about religion or nationality. Graffiti is bad, but that no.

Do you have any idea at all what foreign investment has done (and is still doing) for Poland? and do you have any idea what would happen if it stopped?

Please tell us what in your opinion would have happened If corrupted "Polish" governemnts hadn't sold out for pennies majority of financial sector to foreign entities and hadn't allowed huge foreign retail chains to operate freely (often actually being priviledged) marginalizing domestic retail companies due to the effect of scale, exploiting workers and suppliers with delayed payments. I hope to hear soon from you.

I mean we are doing monkey mock to black people. Put yourself in his/her position. What would you feel if the same thing happened to you?

Overall a good post... Sure making monkey noises (which occassionally happens during football matches in Poland but definitely is not a norma) is disgrace, however what the english feckers "forgot" to mention in that "great film" is that basically every Polish professional football club has at least one (very often a few) non-white player and that If they are valueable players, they are treated like royalty by supporters of a given club, the occasional noises are directed at players of the opposite team to distract them from the game. It's a matter of fanatism, not really racially motivated by itself. The same with "antisemitism", some clubs are "Jewish" due to their pre-WW2 history, that's where antisemitic chants from fans of teams playing against them are coming from. It is not about real Jews. There's quite a few Isreali football players in Poland, it's been confirmed that english feckers interviewed at least one of them but his opinion didn't fit into their sensational crap, so they didn't include it in this "great film". Simply several english koonts decided to make money on sensational horse>s*it and negative outcome for thousands of people is totally unimportant for them.

You have just summed up in one statement the ungratitude of the Poles towards the West. Look what happens when Poles are left to fend for themselves?

Well in fact there was some black players in Poland and there was no problems with that.

oh no?

maybe ask the Wroclaw PLFA team about that. Summer of 2010, I hung out a few times with the head coach, black guy from the states, former NFL player, and he was literally run off the team due to racism and had to transfer to another team in another city, as were the other black players that came from the USA to play for the team. believe me, Poland is certainly not ready for integration with black folk.

Shame I will miss most of the tournament due to time differences. ESPN.com is providing free streaming for every game if you live within the USA but basically every game is in the middle of the day here. bummer, I really enjoyed watching it in 2008.

In every country there are some groups that are racist, no biggie.

And btw. who told you that integration with black folks and for that matter with any other cultural group would be good thing? Such integration means only more trouble for Poland. If Poland needs some extra workers there are plenty of them not from different culture. And we don't any problems with that. We have too much of them, hence problem with finding job in Poland.

You mean devils ? I can ask.

And you know that because he told you so, I suppose ?

it is strange that many soccer fans went to South Africa, who has a long history of racism.

Puzzled.

Don't go to Poland … because you could end up coming back in a coffin

OK, it might be a little dangerous to go to Poland during the soccer championship time but other than that, I don't see any problem at all. I was in Poland and other than a few bar fights, nothing ever happened, no big deal.

What did Pepe Guardiolla say about dangerous Wisła Krakow fans :

In his debut, Barcelona won 4-0 at home with Vistula Cracow .

As you can see he presented very different point of view than that black guy from GB who said those infamous words .

It is not a big problem as was presented by reporters in BBC production which was made for certain propaganda against Euro in fear that it will atract too many viewers and as a result Olimpics would suffer from unexpected lack of financial gains due to lower rate of tourists interested in watching the games on islands..

You don't have to. Tough that certainly doesn't make you right.

2. You can't compare normal football play with Euro 2012. It is just plain stupid to think like that

Who's comparing it? Though mind you, football is football...

3.3. There is nothing bad in writing about religion or nationality.

3.1 Yes they are scum.
3.2 Anyone who saw the swastika banners and nazi salutes might reasonably think they do actually support nazi politics.
3.3 Writing aggressive graffiti advocating harming or killing people or otherwise demeaning people on the grounds of race or religion is very wrong indeed.

Game, set and match to Panorama.

I have never ever heard such drivel before in my entire life. For your information, sweetheart ... the Olympics start on July 27th. EURO 2012 will end on July 1st. Even if people are fed up watching television, need to be operated on their hemorrhoids because they've been sitting too much on the sofa, they still have 26 days to recuperate and get ready for the Olympics.

You must be a very sad person indeed ... .

how else would i know. what are you talking about.

OK... and have you ever thought that maybe he was... for example simply a poor coach and now play the race card to explain his sacking ? Do you believe in all people are telling you or only when they are black and talk about being victims of racism ?

uuhhmmmm.....ok. you do that.

OK.

Game, set and match to Panorama.

Only for those, who are Polonophobic, far left homo nutters. It isn't really surprising that you are so exited over it.

I hope to hear soon from you.

Then somebody else would have done it... another Polish person no doubt.

The fact is, international trade exists in Poland, which means Polish people working for international companies in Poland, working on non Polish related trade and they get paid very well for this.

Blaming foreign investment for a country's government selling out of its private sector.... well done!

have you ever thought that it was simply racist players that treated him unfairly? see, now we're even.

Poland, a completely homogenous, white country with plenty of racism to go around (lived there 4 years in-country pal, i knew people that simply called them ni@@*rs like it was their official name), lots of "old minds" walking the streets, practically no exposure to africans.....i don't think the odds are in favor of your theory.

He was recruited by the owner of the team to take the head coach position after he got injured in the NFL.....I'd say he knew a thing or two about the game. But you think what you want.

Yes I did, maybe they were racist or maybe not... that's all we know for now, you obviously are sure they were racist because... he told you so :))

practically no exposure to africans

How dare they...

He was recruited by the owner of the team to take the head coach position after he got injured in the NFL..

If they were such racists they wouldn't have employed him at all. Coaches get sacked every day, good ones too. Did they sign a contract with him first and then became racists overnight? Or do you mean to say they had no right to sack him as he is black? now, that's racism.

If that defense actually worked, history books would suddenly become very very very short.

If they were such racists they wouldn't have employed him at all.

he was hired by the white American team owner who funded the team and paid his salary.

They wanted a professional football player to coach the team....what better place to find one than the USA. Unfortunately for them, the players weren't ready to take orders from a black man.

Also, he wasn't fired. He left the team because of all the bull$hit and went to coach the Warsaw team.

In-gratitude ? fend for themselves ? WTF?
Are you a Russian in dire need of proctologist.

practically no exposure to africans.

Well, almost make a big difference.
Anyway whats wrong with homogeneous country ?

1. Well i don't share your taste.

That doesn't make you right though. And given your racist comment:

..we don't want blacks in Poland

I'm actually rather pleased you don't share my taste!

2. You can't compare normal football play with Euro 2012. It is just plain stupid to think like that.

A famous statesman once said that one day in his life, he'd like to meet a Pole who doesn't jump to conclusions and that is what you are doing. The documentary that showed all that footage of racist chants and graffiti didn't make any comparisons. Nevertheless any ethnic minority fans who visit will be less than impressed by the unremoved graffiti.

3.1. They are not scums. It is big simplification. In fact there are some good ppl there. I met few.
3.2. Very few of them support nazi. Like in any other country.
3.3. There is nothing bad in writing about religion or nationality. Graffiti is bad, but that no.

1. Yes they are scum. Do you know any other kind of person who makes racist graffiti and fights in the street?
2. Anyone seeing the Hitler salutes and swastikas would reasonable suspect otherwise.
3. There is everything bad if whatever is written on a wall for all to see is demeaning or threatening about a religion or nationality.

Game, set and match to Panorama.
