Regardless, you can't deny that Poland is better off now than before 10 years....
Not according to population.
In my opinion, the fact that Poland and its neighbors like Germany are getting along relatively well in comparison to the 1920's, 30's and 40's I don't think should be taken for granted.
This is a different era, invasion is now far more subtle. The tanks and missiles have been replaced by IMF loans and privatisation.
And in terms of not developing fast enough they have one of the fastest growing GDP in Europe!
sure dosen't Donald want to follow the path of Celtic Tiger Ireland. up up up up up up ooooops bang.
ill they be able to hack it here and accept that success in business takes time? Many that come back from the UK want to set themselves up but I wonder if the 'quick buck' mentality will have changed them. Simply put, people have to accept less money here and get on with it. Surely living a more Polish life takes precedence over a lot of cash anyway.
Poland is a huge country, maybe it will develop in parts closer to the west etc. There are small towns all over the east of the country that i can never see progressing.
Maybe Polish people will accept less money as the wages in the west decrease or taxes increase. I think Poland like everywhere at the moment is at a cross roads.
