Chazan ruling a step towards normality in Poland

NOTE: A motley collection of libertines, leftists, self-styled "progressives" and other forces of darkness had tried to crucify the poor professor for exercising his right to conscientious objection to prenatal murder. Since Duda's victory, the winds of change have begun sweeping down prosecutorial corridors and round professional circles alike.

Is he getting his job back? Personally I'd like to see him struck off: doctors who put their own preferences ahead of the needs of their patients (to say nothing of the requirements of law) should be barred from practising medicine.

This was a matter of conscience not preference. I suppose you condemn conscientious objectors who didn't want to go to war.
The important thing is that Duda's victory, although a president's powers are limited, has already ushered in a new climate and prosecutors, judges, police and other civil servants see the writing on the wall and feel they no longer have to bow to the "progressives" and their depravatory anti-values. The climate is changing and soon the so-called "progressives" will be on the run. The sooner the better!

It's not the prosecutors it's the doctors colleague court. Nothing to do with the real court and real prosecutors.
I hope they will punish him for not pointing the women in the direction of a doctor who could do it. That bastard made lots of abortions of healthy children in the past for money and now refuses to even fill the requirement of the law. Sick psycho.

If you are reading Nasz Nocnik for factual information rather than comic relief, you need to tighten up your criteria for credible sourcing. The most amazing thing about that "newspaper" is how they manage to cram so many czyste pierdoły into so few pages. That is an accomplishment.

I used the paper with my students to illustrate logical fallacies. It's so chock-full of them, and of some many different ones, that it is a veritable goldmine of bull$hit.

I thought Wybiórcza was famous for slanted and distorted BS.:

Wyborcza is synonymous with high quality journalism in Poland. One reason for that is that Michnik has always been careful about who writes for him (I'm told some people who were rejected, due to very obvious reasons, are still very bitter about that). I must remember to have a read of their coverage about the monster Chazan; apart from anything else, I want to know more about these rumours that he has always been more than willing to put aside his famed conscientious objections when there's enough money involved and to do illegal abortions for cash.

Michnik has always been careful about serving his ethnic compatriots and dispropotioantely staffing his paper with them.
Even the crafty way he hijacked Wybiórcza reflected his genetic predisposition. Wałęsa appointed him to edit the Solidarność daily but soon realised he was turning the paper into a KOR-tie rag to the exclusion of the "prawdziwi Polacy". (You weren't around back then so you don't know what that means.) By then Michnik and his cronies had turned GW into their own corporate entity (Agora) run by guess who. Wałęsa banned the use of the Solidarność logo by GW but by then the Michnik gang was fully in charge and thumbed their noses at old Lech.

Can you tell the woman who was the victim of this man's so called conscience that he is not a monster? Anyway, like it or not, some enlightened people are starting a charity to specifically help Polish women to get to places where they can obtain legal abortion and provide them with financial and psychological support. Registration already completed. Going to launch soon with a loud bang in the media.

This is a hugely positive step - sorts out the Chazan/Klauzula problem and will hopefully reduce the number of backstreet ones.

His ethnic compatriots meaning Polish people. Perhaps explains why he rejected, for example, an American for the job, though doubtless there were other reasons and as with the Chazan issue, quality, respectability and sanity are always issues.

He's a great man, and significant that the newspaper he edits sells many more copies among Poles than the one you took the original post from.

Interestingly enough, it seems that in the times when men of conscience had ample opportunity to do the right thing in Poland and to suffer for it (being locked up, for example Michnik and Walesa), Prof. Chazan didn't listen to his conscience at all. According to this article, tvn24.pl/wiadomosci-z-kraju,3/dokonywal-aborcji-w-prl-teraz-zaluje-prof-chazan-dziecko-nie-jest-wlasnoscia-rodzicow,440619.html (summary Chazan performed abortions during PRL times, now wishes he hadn't, he also thinks that rape victims should be denied abortions) Chazan only stopped performing abortions when Polish law was changed. Interesting that he considers women to be incubators.
