'However, law forbids to annul the donation', thats a little goofy!
Madoff had several 'donations' returned primarily because they were given under false 'profits' and were included in what became available to return to the investors, most of whom just received a small percentage of what they lost.

Voluntarily perhaps..i'll dig into it..but i don't believe we have such a law, indeed i would presume the opposite in cases of fraud...

Come on, don`t dig into it, there is a chance that at least apes and big cats will be happy and won`t complain and curse the fraudster.

So far, it is the local Tax Office which has to return 11 million PLN which had been paid by the fraudster as tax from profits which never existed.

Awful!!, the tax office means it was paid in advance and now is being refunded?
or everyone who is paying taxes is losing here? LOL That would be very American :)

Merged: Biggest Tusk-era scamsters on trial

The presumed perpetrators of the Ambergold swindle, the single largest scam of the Tusk era, have gone on trial in Gdańsk. A married couple Marcin and Katarzyna Plichta face charges of cheating 19,000 customers out of a combined sum of 851 million złotys (€ 200 million) from 2009 to 2012 through their pyramid-style parabank scheme. Monday's hearing was delayed several hours as a result of a bomb scare which turned out tobe a false alarm.

PM Tusk's son was involved with the OLT airline set up by Plichta. Tusk told parliament he had warned people about Ambergold but one MP set things straight by saying: "You may have warned your own son but not the Polish people."

"You may have warned your own son but not the Polish people."

But even Tusk's son ignored the warnings of his father. Do you really think that others would listen?

If a son distrusts his father, should others believe in what such a man says?

others would listen?

Many would listen to even such a poor excuse of a PM. Some people
will obey those in authroity even if they are scamster Platformers.

No, they wouldn't if their son declines to obey him.

Tusk's son was involved

Regardless of whether the Tusk fmaily was somehow involved in the scam, the fact remains that the anything-goes allegedly pro-business climate of the Tusk era provided fertile soil for all sorts of scams. Plichta had set up a number of fly-by-night firms by changing their names and addresses and falsifiyng documents along the way. How was it that he could suddenly soar to wealth and power overnight with his Ambergold pyramid scheme and pursue it for so many years. Only Mr & Mrs Plichta may be in the dock, but their trial is an indictment of the enitre scam-conducive Tusk era.

all sorts of scams.

You mean like the one which saw SKOKs have their savers' cash transferred to Luxembourg companies controlled by a PIS senator and the Polish taxpayer being left to pick up the tab while some of the stolen funds are used to bankroll law-breaking right-wing pseudo news sources? When can we expect to see trials for that one taking place?

clearly the Tusk era banking regulators, UOKiK and public prosecutors were at fault on this issue. Yes, Amber Gold took advantage of woefully low standards of financial education in Poland but this scam should have been picked up much earlier

How was it that he could suddenly soar to wealth and power overnight with his Ambergold pyramid scheme and pursue it for so many years.

This is nothing new. The so-called Ponzi schemes were known many years even before Tusk was born and in countries where they have never heard of Tusk. So be careful not to blame Tusk for everything like in that famous song conceived by Wojciech Młynarski:

Pociąg spóźnił się do Buska - wina Tuska.
Podupada kurort Ustka - wina Tuska.
Groch się jakoś marnie łuska - wina Tuska.
W Totku Ci nie wyszła szóstka - wina Tuska.
Zaszkodziła Ci kapustka - wina Tuska.
Cioci Zosi siadła trzustka - wina Tuska.
W szczerym polu uschła brzózka - wina Tuska.
W gardle Ci uwięzła kluska - wina Tuska.
Dyszel złamał sie u wózka - wina Tuska.
Waza stłukła się etruska - wina Tuska.

etc., etc.

You mean like the one

No, I was more referring to the OFE heist in broad daylight. A bit of fancy, manipulaitve language and the support of the PO scamsters and their hayseed sidekicks enabled Tusk to pull his swindle and switch retirement fuunds contrary to the will of futre OAPs. And why? To shore up his porous, mismanged budget.

the OFE heist

The same 'heist' PIS are continuing with?

To shore up his porous, mismanged budget.

Unlike PIS, who are using the money to try to pay out at least one or two of their pre-election bribes.

As a former commodity broker I can tell you that if anyone 'guarantees' returns of over 8% to be highly highly suspect..

You can absolutely make returns of 8%, 10%, even 100%+ on an investment - it all depends on the type of security, the volatility, when you bought it and sold it, were you leveraged, etc.

I have made over 10% on certain investments like silver and off BoA stocks - but that was more just timing. I made around 25% ROI in 2014 off a mutual fund I held with with State Farm that was a basket of US small cap firms. That was rare though and investing in small caps is risky even if it's a mutual fund although at least that mitigates a lot of the risk as opposed to investing in individual small caps. This was a small part of a balanced portfolio that happened to do well and if I lost on it, it wouldn't of been a huge deal. However, since I only had about $3-$4k in this fund, the profits after the fees and taxes were only a couple hundred anyway.

It's important to be balanced and know how much risk you can live with and how much loss you can afford before you invest.

Or, if you don't want to blame Tusk for everything bad in Poland, my dear Polonius3, you can blame Donek of the same political party instead:

Znów kartofle zjadła stonka - wina Donka
Nie ma co wlać do kielonka - wina Donka
Nie chce zupy dać małżonka - wina Donka
Słowik doniósł na skowronka - wina Donka
Pali płuca smród z walonka - wina Donka
Wkrótce wyschnie Amazonka - wina Donka

Provide a translation when you post Polish text in future

I challenge you to provide a rhyming English translation!
One hint: It's Donny's fault. Now find words that rhyme with fault.
