Men and Women from Eastern Poland

Most of my family is pretty cool and easy-going. However, my family is mainly from Southern Poland.

There is a harshness to some people from Eastern Poland but I also see it here in industrial SW Poland. Only 1 in 10 thank you for holding the door open for them, old people scowl at you even though you apologise for clipping them by accident and there is an incredible rudeness in shops where people barely acknowledge one another.

In Scotland, it's a more communal affair and there is more openness generally. Eastern Poles have some ugly towns and can be quite poor. That makes them hard-nosed brutes but many are just steely and rugged.

whats wrong with people from Eatern Poland?.

there's nothing wrong, i am from eastern Poland. such is our temperament:)))
it's true some older people can be nasty. i also admit we can kick ass when we have a bad day..but it's not ever lasting:)you can get used to it. life without quarels would be so boring...

it's true people from western and northern Poland are more hmmm quiet.

Eastern Poles have some ugly towns and can be quite poor

i disagree!! eastern Poland has the cosiest cleanest towns. very underestimated. i'm sorry to say this but you live in the ugliest and dirtest part of Poland. come to Sandomierz, Przemysl, Jaroslaw, Zamość,Rzeszow and Bialystok. the towns are nicely renovated, clean and the 2 last cities are the safest in Poland.also the polls show that people in this part of poland are the least stressed and live the longest.

i hate that people call us Polska B.grrrrrrr we rock!

How many people have you met from Eastern Poland? 30, 40, 60, 100, 500?
If you haven't met very many people from Eastern Poland you can't make such generalizations.

Only 1 in 10 thank you for holding the door open for them

I live in Eastern Poland. IMO more than 50% of people say thanks if you hold the door open for them here.

Eastern Poles have some ugly towns and can be quite poor. That makes them hard-nosed brutes but many are just steely and rugged.

How did you come to that conclusion? Towns and countryside are generally poor both in Western and Eastern Poland. It depends much more on the size of the city than the location.

Towns, villages and countryside look very similar from this point of view in whole Poland.

Sandomierz, Przemysl, Jaroslaw, Zamość,Rzeszow

Don't forget Augustów. Cozy small city with beautiful surroundings.

I live in Eastern Poland and I can't see relationship between living in south north weast or east... I have family in different parts of the country and I can state that it doesn't matter where you live but how you are mannered.

I always thank for holding open door.
Lublin is beautiful place (it doesn't look worse tahn Wałbrzych that I saw in summer).
And I don't know where you find fellow who wants to argue after sex ;)

Actually I don't find any big differences between People from Eastern part and the rest of Poland. Maybe people from the East have a little hotter temperament. But it's more a matter of personality than geographically origin.

Anyway, one think I can see is that people in Białystok are more polite than people in Warszawa.

One of the best things about Eastern (esp. NE) Poland is that it has the absolutely cleanest air in the country. Compared to SW Poland it's huge difference.

i have always been told that eastern Poland is so much poorer than the western part. People from the north told me we should be anexed by Ukraine.

we've got bad roads here (although it's slowly changing) but then i nowhere in southern-eastern Poland saw such poor villages as the ones near Wroclaw or Katowice.

it's the same in Bieszczady, that's why people from warsaw move here as soon as they retire.

It's because most of the biggest cities are in Western or Central Poland. But cities of the same sizes are similar from this point of view in all parts of Poland.

It's the same on the countryside everywhere in Poland.

I'm sorry but that's a generalization. How many people in Warsaw do you know? Are they all rude?

Hello!

Ok, to make it 100% clear. I mean people in general.
I would never make a statement that all people in city X are more polite than people in city Y. For example, you are nice and live in Warsaw. And probably there are thousands of others who are nice also. I think you understand what I mean.

I understand what you mean but still don't agree that we in Warsaw (in general) are less polite than you in Białystok (in general). But of course it's only my opinion.

Don't know about behavior, I thought that was more or like what family backround you have? But with language speed in Warsaw they speak fast!

I speak "Warsawian" Polish and whne I speak Polish with my sister and some Norwegians hears it, well often they say "Why do you speak so fast and arguing?" xD

well people from Warsaw are known in Poland for their superiority complex. obviously not all but just look at the drivers, especially if they see you have number plate from another voivoidship. waiters in the old town are not some of the kindest as well.at least it's what i have experienced . when you are from outside of the city it's easy to feel it.i'm sure there are very many kind people but Warsaw as the capital city should try to improve its image...

I don't know if this is a "Warsowian" thing but yes, I think I speak quite fast :)

I don't know about drivers as I use only public transport but when it comes to waiters I think you just had bad luck. Let me know next time you're in Wawa and I'll recommend you some really nice places with very polite and friendly staff.

Let's put aside that the sentence is self-contradicted. Still it's quite amusing to hear such a statement from the person who's always said "stop nationalism", "jews are cool" etc. What's wrong with you?

Which towns, SwedishPole? They look pot ugly and dreary to most people. Of the above, only Augustów really holds any appeal.

More than 50%, I doubt that.

Well, the air is cleaner in the East for sure. Pollution is a major problem here.

Zamosc is also very nice.

There are many ugly towns here also. But they are not uglier than similar towns in the rest of Poland.

And there is a lot of beautiful nature here. As well as in some other parts of Poland.

So, in conclusion, some parts are nice and some aren't. Life can really be made simple at times, can't it? Sometimes it can, sometimes it can't. Hmm...stop.

I have been to many places in Poland and I have to say that Sandomierz is the place I liked the best. Very beautiful town indeed. Next time I go to Poland I will go to the eastern part as well. I am going to Białystok for sure and maybe also £omża.

yeah poverty is the true reason:/ so imagine men from 3rd world countries.. they probably kill their women after having sex and then eat them for breakfast.

see how lucky you are...

i suppose you laughed at my this? (maybe, not, but, wasnt a joke. was just a reminder of a debt to her)

next time, i'll add this to my schedule stamp-it: "have a meal on her." (she should pay.)

last year, when i met her first time, i paid for the dinner and then she disappeared.
not the cost of dinner important, but, this bitter.
later, i wrote her "i'll have a meal on her." vegetables, fruits, yoghurt will be spreaded all over on her body and wine in her belly and will ignore her while enjoying my meal for an hour or two. yes, she should pay. socialist karma. i dont send anyone to hell for any unpaid thing.

She probably didn't like you. You've paid for her dinner? Wow. I'm properly impressed now!I'm sorry, but isn't that what a gentleman is supposed to do on a first date? You should feel flattered she decided to go out with you anyway. That's just my silly opinion though, you shouldn't listen to anything I say..

...sometimes after we have sex he will start being a a critical SOB or argue for no reason...

Maybe y'alls sex sessions aren't long enough? ;) LAgrrrl, obviously you're not wearing him out - if you did he'd promptly fall asleep after the deed, like the rest of us... like the other guys do. LOL

So as soon as he starts arguing again - go back to having sex. Remember - love hurts... :)
