Are all Polish men Psychos?

Aniol  4 | 10

My Polish friend has a split personality - a real Jeckyl and Hyde. When I see him (every couple of weeks at an evening class) he is charming, funny, attentive and clearly interested. But in between seeing him he doesn't reply to messages, makes excuses about losing his phone, losing my number etc. He says he has 'problems in his life' but dosn't explain what these are....

Can anyone help me suss this out, my head says I should probably ignore him til he comes begging.....but my heart is furious and slightly broken...so be gentle with your comments please!

Are all Polish men Psychos?

Most of the Polish men I know are fairly sane (except for a few exceptions on PF.) Haha, just kidding.

One Polish guy I dated ended up displaying some stange and unusual behavior. He also tried being somewhat possessive with me. I later found out he had been pronounced dead at birth, for several minutes and then revived. Perhaps the lack of the supply of oxygen to his brain cells at birth, was a key factor in his behavioral problems, that he displayed later in life.

Are all Polish men Psychos?

Wait till you see the polish women.Basically it does not disturb me.I call it slavic madness,it is more prominent among Ukrainians and relatively suppressed in Czechs.

makes excuses about losing his phone,

I should make an excuse.......and lose him...there is something sneaky going on here , probably another girl , or a wife...If he can,t be straight with you , then get rid of him....!

By far the most likely scenario.

Nice to see that misandry remains in evidence on PF </sarcasm>

but fortunately Justy and a few others are still around to represent the voice of reason :)

He says he has 'problems in his life'

He might be telling the truth he might be not. My friend was lieing to his girlfriend in the same way because he really had "life problems" - his dad was addicted to benzodiazepines. Another friend of mine was seeing other girls while being in a stable relationship. You never know. It may be worth being straightforward and asking.

It sounds like it's going nowhere, so, maybe you should just talk to the dude in class and leave it at that.
What you explained doesn't make this guy a psycho or a Jeckyl and Hyde, btw.

Some people are very ambivalent. It's their normal personality, and you can't do much about it.

And about 0.5 % of all people have schizophrenia, that's 1/200 persons. So probably everyone has met someone who is schizophrenic, even if they didn't notice it.

Anyway, you can never trust him. So it's probably better to not get too much involved.

But of course, he can have some problem, so he needs some support from you as a friend.

ok, ok..... just consider also this scenario:

there are still some people out there who don't like to share their problems with everybody else... don't like to talk about their problems and prefer to resolve them by themselves.

True.

They are usually the ones who call themselves "single people" - after their partners found out and dumped them.

Or he simply doesn't want to bother you with his problems, because how well does he know you? I mean, you've said it yourself, you only see him once in every couple of weeks at an evening class..

Aniol, maybe he likes you, and maybe he's interested, but it could be that he has his pride, and would like to solve his problems before he's confident enough to actually ask you.. If he's clearly interested, as you've put it, then I think it's very likely that he's keeping you at a safe distance for the time being.

Anyway, you can never trust him.

Brilliant! And how would you know that? Do you know him? Anyway, a guy who says he has some problems in his life doesn't sound like a psycho to me. We all have our fair share of troubles and problems from time to time, and we all have our own different ways to solve them?

I think you should just let him be for a while, and just talk with him at your evening classes if you want to. See what happens? In any case, it probably doesn't have anything to do with you Aniol.

He's just not into you. Get over yourself.

I should probably ignore him til he comes begging.

What a typical female response. He'll come begging when it snows in July.

When I see him (every couple of weeks at an evening class

He sounds as if he is just a class mate , that's all ?

And how would you know that?

Know what? I never said he's not trustable. I said that she can never trust him when he's doing these kind of things.

What kind of things? She barely even knows him? I'd say that she should decide for herself wether or not she can trust him, if she ever gets to know him better.

He's just not into you.

Could also be an option, although I don't think that's the case if he bothered to give her his phone number..

He sounds as if he is just a class mate , that's all ?

Yup, that's how it looks over here, but then again I'm not going to say anything about two people I've never seen talking to eachother. I mean, it could be there's a little something going on between the two of them?

:)

Or just maybe he really does have problems in his life, would you prefer him avoid you for a while until he solves them on his own, or have him take his frustration out on you??

My Polish friend has a split personality - a real Jeckyl and Hyde.

You're a weekend ass, when his wife gets back in shape after his third child he'll stop shagging you.

Or just maybe he really does have problems in his life

Yeah, he cant sleep because his newborn kid is crying:)

Are all Polish men Psychos?

This thread is twisted, created by a devil-man, who is dresses up in Santa Clause costume, and wants to antagonize all Polish man by fueling a controversy, and deprive all men and women from getting presents this year.

he doesn't reply to messages, makes excuses about losing his phone, losing my number etc

There's no need to write a book on how to deal with this problem. It's simple, just stay away.

he is charming, funny, attentive and clearly interested.

So? Good news people, there millions of men in Poland and the entire earth who have the same qualities...so don't get stuck on one if it doesn't work, just pick a next one.

he has 'problems in his life' but dosn't explain what these are

people don't like to admit their problems. If he says he does then he probably does have problems: he's a substance addict, sex addict, and on top of his other SPD & OCD addictions, he just discovered that his wife's real name is Pinosa Mamosa, and she had the guts to abandon him with 6 kids that all have diarrhea!

Patience. Take a deep breath. He'll feel more at ease by giving him space. Focus on yourself and why you need to figure this guy out so badly (is he just a friend or do you want to take this further?) No one likes pressure or smothering. He will be more inclined to be close to you, if your more non-chalant.
