Hi,
So I'm hoping someone can help me with advice here.
Basically, my boyfriend of 3 years saw an opportunity to leave me (as we were relocating for me to start a new job) and has turned his months working holiday into a permanent stay after many promises and how he never wanted to leave me and would come anywhere for me.
I was completely shocked by this (as he broke up with me by text, refused to speak to me on the phone and then pretended to be a girl via text on the number I had for him)
The bad thing is that he owes me quite a lot of money (I supported him when he was not in work) and although I have a joke contract with him all signed I do not know how to retrieve the money. Also, because we had signed up to a 6 month contract that I can not break - nor afford by myself he owes me half of the rent too (but stupidly we were going to get him referenced onto the contract when he was back and had money)
I only borrowed him the money on the grounds that he owns the family farm in Poland, would be working (hence earning) and he was also due enough money off an uncle in Poland to pay me back.
I have tried to sort it out with him but I know he is just trying to buy time unfortunate and I think he thinks that I will give up. I simply can not get him to co-operate and pay me back and have this finished.
I tried to contact everyone in his family to see if they could persuade him to give me the money back - as I will now lose my dream job that I have worked for years to get - but they can only talk to him and no one will take responsibility for him. Although no one has defended him yet. And everything that he told me about the money he could pay me back with has been lies.
Stupid I know, but I trusted him and he gave me no reason not to up the the second I got a break up text message.
Has anyone got any advice or has anyone used a European Payment Order to retrieve money? As I can prove I loaned it to him. But by the time it goes through court it will be too late for my job and also how much will it cost me???/
Cheers
