And and... Cars stock?!! You were only mild so that BB wouldn't get infuriated ehh? ;)

Now they make IKEA furniture....

Indeed, Indeed IKEA should been written there

hard work, but it's not funny.... ;/

Some of it was funny but, mostly not I agree

"Asian Poles" was hilarious but, WESTERN POLAND?! Don't compare those wussies to the fatherland! ;)

Although true wussies are Italians, but they have such good food <3
I really can't bring myself to bash them automatically :/
Although they should learn English...

... and the staple of priestly 'humour' to this day. Went to the local diocese in Gorzøw WLKP to get the nod as a godfather last year when we were still living in England. The provost's first words on hearing this? O! Poganin [pagan]. Of course to be godfather material you have to have, erm, kissed the relevant RC rings, but never mind that.

... at which point, the verger comes in with a de-commissioned £10 note and starts bending my ear for 20 minutes about that appalling Darwin chappie on the back ...

That the Scots are stingy. Too bad that many here are worse, esp those from Poznań and Kraków. Only Aberdonians in Scotland tend to be tight-fisted.

Hehehe, just as much as the Poles have that the Scots are stingy. We have been giving Poles housing and jobs for years, loooooooong before 2004. They have a good standing in parts of our communities, well thought of.

Krakusy!!!!!!!!!

They're not many movies with Krakusy in them...but the Krakowians are stingy as hell like. I always noticed how they like to show their wealth by buying themselves the most pointless sh1t...:D

That's because Scots are much more famous than Poles in the overall scheme of things ;) ;)

Besides, stereotypes sell but BS pervades.

Look at charity stats, they speak volumes :)

experience :)

I went to Kraków, wanted to get to some place, bought myself a city map just outside the train station. A guy was standing there, saw my purchase, approached me, asked if he could have a peek, took a small piece of paper out of his pocket, found the address on the map, thanked me. And told me which bus to take to my place :)

What Stereotype do Poles have about Scandivaians?

Pink boring blondes getting drunk first thing abroad. And staying boring.

Nott, creative fiction aside......

The Scots tend to be far more generous as a nation. The hospitality is great here, mind you. Then again, it's the same back home.

what you calling fiction? It's my life!

:)

I never met... Ok, I met one Scot. Two big houses, small construction firm, he was working himself senseless. And he started with bare hands, as I heard. Can't say about his generosity though - or lack of it.

with me! outside!!!

afraid to damage the furniture...?

I was joking. Many Poles are in no position to comment as they really haven't mingled enough. That will change in time :)

And now lets have a look what other Nations are thinking of Poles:
Poles seen by
Germans: Stealing cars, quite useful for the harvest of strawberries, asparagus, apples and wine
Girls: part of the common female offer from Eastern Europe with the
“Goddesses of Riga" representing highest beauty-level

Dutch: Good enough as harvesters for tomatoes, cucumbers , for mass-breeding of chickens and for fish- industry
Belgians: Quite useful for harvesting Brussels sprouts and chicory
Britons: Quite useful for dirty and nasty jobs no Briton wants to exercise
Irish: Quite useful for dirty and nasty jobs, but we cannot pay them anymore
Frenchmen: Quite useful for harvesting wine, apples, peaches and salad
Spaniards: Quite useful for harvesting oranges, lemons, hazelnuts, almonds, and olives
Russians: Quite useful for-nothing

Any link to that? :)
First time ever I heard of that...

Also a better alternative to Africans, according to one Spanish minister a few years ago.

And now lets have a look what other Nations are thinking of Poles:

A few corrections here, Zubr:

Under Dutch: don't forget the fruit pluckers, asparagus pickers, but also order pickers in distribution centers, forklift operators, truck drivers (e.g. all the trucks with "Raben" on the side, but there are loads of other transport companies), seamstresses, nursery care workers, caretakers and even nurses.

Under German: don't forget (again) the fruit pluckers and asparagus pickers

Under French: for your information ... you can't harvest wine ... :P

So all in all, it's not so grim as you might think ;)

I think a common enough stereotype is that the women are stunning and pixie-like whereas the men are shocking and troll-like.

Oh yeah, probably the wierdest food in Europe too. (wind dried puffin, shark fermented in urine etc)

Teffle, sorry I forgot Iceland. The Icelanders are very distressed, that they no longer have the money to pay for Poles, occupied in the mass slaughterhouses for cod and other fishes.

I don't agree with the "traitor" description. If it's present in the society, then because of lacking the knowledge about the complicated relations (not only diplomatic) between the Allies themselves. Churchill was the best guy, really, and we love him. Pity he just couldn't do more, but that wasn't his fault. It's all Roosevelt's fault, as long as the Yalta treaty is concerned. What we could wish Brits hadn't done, was not having turned out as naiive as they did, just before the WWII.

And it were Poles who broke the Enigma code, back in 1932.
