has anyone tried this service?

It allows you to top-up a mobile phone in Poland.

transferto.com

let me know how it works, if anyone used it before.

thanks

all the information is on the site and under the Ukash tab, you need a Ukash voucher first. Seems pretty straight forward really.

they hammer you on the exchange rate.

paypoint/epay is what? can i get it at any retailers?

according to google:
100 Polish zloty = 21.9489069 British pounds

i think the price they selling is worth it for such a service.

Ive just punched in my old UK post code and theres two shops within 3 minutes walking distance from my old house. Looks like most convenience stores will have it.

100 Polish zloty = 21.9489069 British pounds

Its about 8% worse with this company, no big deal on small amounts.

Merged: Top up mobile phones in Poland? It's working in England.

Hi All.
I will be moving to Poland this year and will need a Polish phone number.
I recently tried to acquire a polish 'pay as you go' sim card and was told that the phone
number would only be active for one month.
If I wanted it to be active for longer I would need to get a contract phone.
Does this sound right ?
I have a 'pay as you go' phone number in England and simply put money on it when ever I want.
Any suggestions ?

same deal, top it up and the number extends out another month or two.

Depends on the network, but in general, the more you top up, the longer you can make outgoing calls. What happens is that when you buy (for instance) - 50zl of credit, you get 50zl of credit and the ability to make outgoing calls for 180 days.

If you aren't worried about what network you use, get a Play sim card - one top up will give you a year's worth of "ability". Even if you go over the year, you can still receive calls/texts/etc, you just can't do anything "chargable".

Would you recommend getting a contract phone as I will be living in Poland full time ?
The reason I was dubious is the last time I had a contract phone in England and used it abroad (as I might this time) the bills were huge !

I was also hoping to use a dual sim phone so that I could keep my english sim in the same phone - any thoughts ?

For Play Poland you can try ezetop.com/countries/europe/poland/

I have been using them before and they are handy enough, I don't even have to go to the shop, cheaper than transferto as well

I have a Polish T-Mobile Tak Tak pay as you go phone card that I used the last time I was in Poland, and I was able to top it up again after a year using:

mobilerecharge.com

There are many other "Top-Up" websites that work as well, and I'm sure buying more minutes there would be a breeze.

Overall I was told that as long as you send a text to that number once every half year you should be able to use it continually with T-Mobile.
