I am sorry to disappoint you all but what Pawian does is really nothing out of ordinary ... as far as I can remmember a vast majority of my teachers did those things and some of them much more to prevent students from "ściąganie"...
Why is cheating at schools in Poland accepted?!
What more can be done? Please, share the experience so that I can improve my cheating detection methods?? :):):)
well...many of my teacher gave very little time to complete the tasks during quizes and tests I'd say not quite enough for someone well prepared...(cheating is time-consuming so people doing it would fail anyway because they only completed a small part of what was expected)
people seating close to eachother always got different sets of questions I rememmber a teacher that had 12 different sets (we would take the test in small groups so each student had a different one)...
I'm not saying that there was no cheating I just think that its impact on the final grades was not that great...

it's been like that when I was going to school and it was a long time ago
well I am 24 just out of university...
If I were a teacher, I would make students scared of cheating. That's simple and effective. I don't know why many teachers are reluctant. My classmates cheat on every exam but chemistry. Why? because they are aware of the consequences... our chemistry teacher would immediately order to finish writing which means 0 points for a perpetrator. And that's good.
There is a different situation at universities. Exams on good and hard studies are often impossible to pass without cheating. Both lecturers and students know that, but nothing is changing. World requires only strong people. They have to know how to survive.

HAHAHA.........LOL, I DONT THINK IS TRUE, SOME STUDENT TRY TO...................
A Polish colleague is heavily involved with Cambridge FCE testing. He claims that the FCE listening papers have had to be revised and multiple versions used in each new sesion because students have been recording the test on mobile phones and selling on the internet/ passing on to friends.

Here is an article written by a student in the Poznan Universities of Medical science in Poland's newspaper:
Go to the following site
pulsum.pl/index.php?kat=archiwum&nr=116-117
Read page 19 of the paper. It is concerning wide spread cheating at the school...
wretch.cc/blog/billypan101/14376818&page=8
a comment on the above site also mentions it. You will have to search through the comments since most of them are not in English. Also, word of it can be found on other sites via Google.
I've heard that different groups worked together to take photos of the tests and distract the professors in order to do so. Then they store them on servers. The practice was pretty widely spread. Furthermore, some students go as far as doing the tests in groups... I have even seen the end result.
If you stand up, the teachers in Poland will even laugh at you. The dean's office will protect their monetary interests. I've heard of students getting harassed out of school for this nonsense. IT DOES HAPPEN.
This school is even accredited and it still happens. So don't bother saying that it is fake, because it is not. I just wanted to inform you of what was happening at this University...

Again regarding page 19 of the paper. Dr Ziemnicka, the dean of the University is fully aware of this. However, the polish prioritize having each other's backs over everything else. That is how things roll in that country. It is a totally different culture there. Plus, they are more collective and have the Polish people's backs over foreigners. It is a lot of nonsense that occurs in that country. This is a Medschool may I add... BUT I hear that the tests are harder there.
However, hopefully, in the future, things will get better.
BUT, in order to compensate, I think they make the tests harder... a lot harder than America, or so I have heard...

Common situation in Greece.Very difficult to apply the same standards for all.For example are tests hard? Then the mediocre will fail. But over 50% are mediocre. So they have to find a way out usually by cheating. If you put easy exams then the good students will pass without studying hard etc.It is the sh1t.I have seen this.

i always find it funny when i give exams to polish students.
regardless of age, if i have to walk out of the room for something, they all immediately start talking to each other and asking for answers. then, when i walk back in the room, they all quickly snap back into place and pretend they weren't cheating. i've seen it from 16 to 60 year olds. it's quite embarrassing to be honest when i catch them in the act. how do i tell a 50 year old man, "please stop cheating"......without feeling completely silly.

In western Ukraine I was also told by a good student how proud she is that she can cheat and get grades without having to bribe the professors. She told me that in her country good students are considered those who have the ability and are cunning enough to cheat, the dumb rich ones go for bribing and the ones who study are considered stupid and monolithic.
Dozens of thousands of very mediocre(in some cases mentally borderline retarded) Greeks got degrees in eastern Block by blatant bribing of colossal dimensions(I was told things like who are they,we built the university by our donations etc).Problem is our politicians protect these ''oiled degrees'' more than the native ones since many of them have children who studied this way in eastern Block.

Come on, that's normal practice anywhere in the world.
Having said that, you should treat a 50 year old man exactly the same way as a 16 year old - a warning, and followed up by tearing the paper up. Or even for emphasis, tear his paper up straight away. He can hardly complain about being caught cheating, can he?

A lot of posts about students/pupils cheating in class.
What about teachers who give out answers because they think the tests are too difficult. I've had Matura students tell me about this.

What an intelligent way of making the Polish education system appear high ;) ;) Get the smartest kiddo and everyone copies from them :)
Yes - the guy with 94 per cent gets the Academy of medicine place....
On the subject of cheating - I always thought it was a level playing field - rather like all athletes being allowed to use performance enhancing drugs - of course only one form of cheating goes in this case..the crib sheets wriiten in minute writing on a postage stamp.
Once the student has suucessfully written the (usually banal) notes on such a small scrap of paper that should concentrate his mind and his powers of mental recall - so - is that cheating?
Just looking at it from a "Polish viewpoint" lol.
Your guess is as good as mine :)

ON MATURA EXAM?!!??? Ammm... if it really happened its a scandal (it's weird to be possible nowadays due to outside supervisors on the matura exams).
To be honest with you, teachers in poland don't give a fcuk about their students. Students from the earliest age dont get clear massage that its something seriousely wrong with cheating. Instead of that they hear from their parents complains what bs and why for their children have to learn all organellis of protozoon or which country is the biggest world producer of beef (Brasil if some1 is curious... ) And this a good excuse for everything (I don't need to learn geography because i'm taking Matura exams in math not geaography, etc.)
Mostly a test during lessons in school look like that:
Magda nie rozglądaj się!
Magda bo zaraz obniżę o pół oceny!
Magda ostanie ostrzeżenie!
...Magda za klasówkę dostaje ocenę o pół obniżoną za ściąganie, niemniej ma 4+ (american B?)
If the sciąganie is severe - bold or by useing cheating cards, teacher gives mark 1 (american F?)... but still a student can take test again in other term.
Cheating bacame an art itself, a cult thing which describes nostalgic years of school (almost like play truant on "the day of truant" in highschool, or like binge drinking when being academic student).
I remember when i was in my middle school (gimnazjum) I was quite good student. I have a friend sitting on the same bench, who was poor student. because it was my very best friend I thought I would be really good friend by helping her with tests. So I was always quickly completing my own test and then we were swaping with the test sheets and I was doing her test. Funny that teachers never observed that tests were in the same writing charachter...
I am a student here and the Medical nonsense is INSANE!
Check this out:

I was reading page 19, and found an interesting student article
concerning cheating at a school where it says almost every student
there cheats:

Furthermore, I found this website (cheating on the board exams):

AND YET, they are still becoming doctors! lol
Thus, I thought it would be funny if you made a video where Amir

Mind that as a foreigner you don't have any lecturers with polish students. And mind also that you as a foreigner you has an easier programme which does not include the whole material what polish students have to learn. I know that because of my cousin who is at medical uni. I have a really great respect for all those ppl who study medical science. In the first year drops out on average 50% of students! She also told me that they have tests before every workshops (exercises) or lectures so its really difficult to come unprepared.
Is that cheating your own observation or you just read too much forums? I believe that all those who cheat drop out within 1st year. Its because they really have to have a great knowledge to survive...
