I am Japanese,will work at Japanese restaurant(I am chef ).I like Poland,have visited there for 3times.

Polish language classes are a dime-a-dozen in Warsaw. Definitely take advantage of them:-)

Many foreigners who have difficulty with English might do well to hire an interpreter in their country to help them with the language a little. Only a suggestion.

You can rent a nice 60 sq m apartment for about 2300 PLN / month in Warsaw Center or 1800 in districts like Ursus, Włochy. Another 300 - 400 PLN / month you will spend for water, electricity.

I'm a Vietnamese citizen going to study in Warsaw this September.
I would like to ask you guys about the weather in Warsaw in the late of September? I also want to buy some stuffs like clothes and a laptop. Could you recommend good places for those thing with reasonable prices? And do you know any places to buy Asian cooking ingredients?

Hard to say for sure but it will definitely be getting colder so you will need a jacket. Probably anywhere from between about 10 and 18 C.

Yes. It may still go above 20 deg. C, but not much. Maybe also below 10 deg. at mornings. But it will be rather getting colder and colder. It will be coldest in January and February (let's say between -10 and 10, sometimes it may go below -10, and it will rather not reach 10). From March it gets warmer and warmer.

Guys, I'm still not sure about the mall which sells not very expensive clothes. I mean I'm not looking for the famous brands :)

So you visit a foreign country for first time and all you eat is your own Asian food? When people go on holidays to different places they want to experience culture of that place but not you and many Asians I noticed do the same, they just can not eat anything that is not Asian.

he is not going on holiday, he is going to study. and everybody likes to eat familiar food. That is why there are a million Polski skleps in my country. Stop whining irrationally.

Just have a look round all of them when you arrive, you won't have a problem finding something, all budgets are catered for. If you don't like what's in one shop, choose another.

He is only in the country temporarily and should be naturally curious to try foreign thing, but no he is like you English, looking for McDonald's when visiting Spain, no wonder you associate with this type of reasoning. Polish set up shops with Polish food not for Polish tourists obviously but for those Polish who live and work in foreign countries permanently or for many years, see the difference? Polish people do not come to foreign nation and look for Polish shops with food in them, we are curious about different things other cultures have to offer, Asians and English are not that curious, they always look for things that are either the culturally same or similar to their own, they like to shop to find cheap bargain, and eat own national food, that is why the OP here set up this thread.


Nobody would accuse you of that, you like to dress cheaply we all get it, you are not the first foreigner who comes to Poland looking only for cheapest clothes for fear of having to spend a penny. We have Americans and Europeans from Western Europe shopping here in the cheapest chops imaginable afraid to spend a dollar despite the currency differences favouring them; when a westerner is spotted shopping in more exclusive places it is a rarity, so I am no longer surprised by your and other foreigners' cheap approach.

She probably will try out the local cuisine, but she was enquiring where to buy Asian ingredients to cook with. I'll give you a clue. She is a student and generally speaking most students are not that well off, so I doubt she will be eating out all the time and will be cooking at home. What do you expect her to cook, gołąbki, when she is from Vietnam? She is going to cook food that she is familiar with and knows how to make.


Not when it comes to food they're not. I have never known a Pole to cook anything other than Polish food at home, and I've eaten at enough friends' houses to know this to be the case. They generally don't tend to eat out as much as English people would either.


She didn't say that she was looking for the cheapest clothes, but would you really expect a student on a budget to be out looking for designer jeans?


Being down under, I'm wondering how you would know that as you don't even live in Poland.
