How much are Marlboro Gold Kingsize 20 to buy in Krakow?

Marlboro Gold are now €9.50 in Ireland, my friend is travelling to Krakov next week. How much are they there? Is it cheaper on the plane or in the shop?

Cheaper in the shop. I'm not even sure if they sell them on intra-EU flights any more. My local petrol station has them at about €3.50 - they should be a few cents less at Tesco.

Cheers Jon, so three times as expensive in Ireland! That's insane, we are so ripped off here. I'm sick of it, but not enough to quit ;-)

The Irish government should wise up, higher taxes does not stop people from smoking, they just find cheaper ways to get them. I'm always on the look out for friends who are travelling so I can nab a bargain.

Cigarettes are even half the price in the conservative Nordic countries. Really wish they would harmonise the taxes across Europe on all goods, including cars which are so expensive here also :-(

about 16-18 zloty a pack, half price for Russian/Ukrainian counterfeits...

16-19 zloty for a pack of 20, thats a bit expensive was hoping it would be 8-12 zloty

In US in some cities it's $15 a pack in places like NYC, Chicago, etc. In most places though I've seen cheapest at $4 (for off brand) and closer to $5 for Marlboros and average around $6-$7 so the PL price is still quite a bit below the US price

pete, you are not going to find any appreciable difference in price, no matter where you go. Expect to pay 16PLN for a pack. If you want cheap smokes, there are cheaper brands like Viceroy, or you could of course support Russian criminals by buying their contraband.

Go to Ukraine, they're 5zl a pack there.

Yeah don't buy the counterfeits (will usually have Russian/English/German warnings on the front instead of the Polish ones along with some nasty picture of potential health effects on smoking) - they taste like ****! Unless you're trying to quite then they're good because you'll smoke way less lol.

We joke that we call them 'czernobylskie' meaning from Chernobyl because of their strange taste.
Some of the Marlboro knockoffs aren't that bad though (usually with German/English warning on the front along with no picture) but the ones with the Russian writing on the front tend to be nasty.

Have you seen the Marlboro pack with the arabic/english writing and a skull and crossbone logo? I think it just states causes death!
I remember some street guy was trying to sell these in a bar on the south side a few years ago, they tasted horrible, wanted $5 per pack, we told him to beat it.

I have not. The only comparable pack I've seen is a brand called 'Death' that has a black box with a skull and bones design. They are a cig brand against smoking lol - they donate I believe 10% of their profit to lung cancer and helping people quit. They're a brand out of California.

I tried switching to e-cigs but I kept like spilling the oil and idk it just felt like I was inhalind and exhaling slightly hot flavored air. I'd get a crazy nicotine rush with some of the more expensive vapes but idk, I still prefer cigs. I'd like to quit - I've been smoking 11 years now and hopefully I can quit in the next year or two. I definitely will quit once I plan to have kids - I don't want to smoke around them or my pregnant wife. I find girls who smoke to be sexy hehe.
