the assertion that racism is rampant everywhere is untrue. other countries have had immigrants in their community for centuries and have integrated so much that they are considered native.

No, it doesn't. They're probably thinking if they can't get a girlfriend because the girls turn them down for whatever reason, let's beat you up because they choose to hang around with you. It doesn't have *that* much to do with racism, because the very same thing also happened to me quite a few times when I was younger. (And I'm white.)

The only advice I have is: Don't hang out in any city centre for too long when you're with a couple of girls, unless you've brought a couple of guys with you. It's not right, but you simply can't change nature. Local guys who got turned down for whatever reason will get miffed at other guys (And not only black guys!) who are walking around with girls eventually, no matter how kind or sweet they used to be. It's not healthy for guys to be alone for too long, and such frustration more often than not, results in violence against other guys, wether they're black, white or whatever.

Maxim it's normal that in Poland people don't help when they see a fight. It always ends very bad to people who involve in such arguments. People simply afraid to react.

Police in Poland is a joke. They won't arrest an offender even if you point them. And it has nothing to do with race. I heard many cases when victims found offenders on their own and yet the police had difficulties to arrest them.

In my town football hooligans sprayed half on the house estate but fortunately the owners of the houses had camera monitoring. The vandals were caught... and guess what? They extinguished the investigation due to little social noxiousness of an act!!!

It doesn't have to be luck. If there are injured or wounded the police always comes very fast. In other cases you wait as this is obviously lower priority. 5 or 8 minutes is not exception in Poland, it is just the matter of how far they are and traffic, that's all.
