Suggestions for a good business bank account in Poland?

Anyone direct me to a thread discussing which is the cheapest BUSINESS bank account in Poland for a small business?
Or advise which bank offers the cheapest account for business, please?

Googled it with little or actually no success.

(I think I'm right in saying a business bank account is compulsory for even a very small business here.)

No. Many people, especially misinformed locals, will tell you this but they are wrong. If you're a sole trader (even one who employs others) you can use your own a/c. You do however need to tell the Urzad Skarbowy (and I think ZUS) the number of the bank account you will use. I have done this.

If I go ahead, I'll use my private account until I sense things are taking off. Much appreciate your advice, and yes I agree about the cheapest etc. That said, I had an A1 free biz account in the UK years ago,

I used Nordea for a long time - both a business account for a limited company and a personal account which I also used for another business I had. They aren't free, however transactions are very cheap and service is generally good.

Things must have changed since you did that. I was told (by my tax office) that I do need to have a business bank account (although they are more than happy to accept payments from me which are made from my personal account).

I used Nordea for a long time.

Sadly they were recently purchased by PKO / Pekao, so they'll probably be turning to sh*t soon.

When REGON number is issued, opening a bank account for company settlements is necessary. Processing transactions and accepting payments from other traders all of which are related to the economic activity of the company is confirmed by the bank statements. Bank charges of opening the account and carrying out the transactions depend on the bank.

My ING account is great, I do get charged 7-9zl a month if i don't use my business card for over 300zl. Otherwise I have no problem and it was simple to open.

Which one, please? The "Earning" account? They seem to have withdrawn it.

The Alior Earning account, the one which was probably meant in Post 12, is no longer available despite being shown on their English website. All they now have is Partner which is only free if you're doing 2500zl of business each month and putting the credits through your account. Otherwise it's 25zl each month. For some people, that's going to be just fine. For newcomers with uncertain income, it's likely to be another 300zl to find each year while you establish yourself. (The now discontinued Earning account and Partner, apparently Alior's cheapest, as advertised in Polish only English translation

PKO has an 18-months for free account called Biznes Debiut 18. The form is all in Polish. After month 9, your average balance has to be 500zl.

It asks for a Poland ID card number but also gives the option of entering a foreign passport number instead.

ING has a conditionally free account called Konto Direct dla Firmy

Again, the form is all in Polish and additionally it seems to introduce an additional obstacle of asking for a Poland ID card - a mandatory field to complete. The account is free if active or 2000zl is put through it each month.

A banker told me that people do use their private account for small business use and receiving payments, but that it is "an offence" technically and officially prohibited.
