I have a PESEL,number, but I don't have a address in Poland. I want to open a account and send the debit card attached to the USA. I can't go in to branch because I'm currently not in Poland. I know this sounds extremely sketchy, but I can't find any good banks that allow me to apple online, without visiting bank or signing documents delivered by a carrier.

Yes, we had to be in Poland to open an account. Even then there were problems due to the language barrier. My Polish is only for ordering in a restaurant and getting directions and my wife has never dealt with finances in the Polish language, even though she grew up speaking Polish. Once we had an account it was not a problem to bank online or to get an English rep on the phone to answer questions.

Really? I have a friend who knows a few banks that do this, but he is in the business of fraud and all, so he exploits that kind of stuff. He wont help me, does it with all kinds of countries. :(

I'm also looking for a way to open a polish account online, did you have any luck in your pursuit?

Remember that international laws exist to counter the laundering of criminally obtained money and require banks to keep on file evidence of the identity of their customers. This is a pain in the *ss if you jst ewant to open an account, but is it something you can get around with accounts in the countries you're based in? For example, though I've lived in PL for a while I still run my UK account to settle AMEX and to pay direct debits etc. My Polish account is just for local transactions.

Merged: Banking in Poland

I got a job offer from Polish company. HR sent me a form to fill in. They require bank account for salary payments. Does anybody knows whether I can open polish bank account over the internet, as I intend to arrive to Poland on Sunday, starting work on Monday? Thank you

You can, but you need to physically sign the documents before the account is active (and they need to see your ID card). Also, you're going to need an address for the bank to list you as residing at.

Yes, but you won't get paid until at least the end of the month.
