I truly admire you / You truly admire me? How do you say this in Polish?

This thred seems to be the right one for me.
As there are no swedish/polish grammar to buy, I'm having difficulties to understand when it's necessary to end the verb in a certain way -depending on whom you're talking to.

Example: podziwiać
1 (I'm a woman talking to a man) I truly admire you / You truly admire me?
2 (I'm a man talking to a woman) I truly admire you / You truly admire me?
3 (I'm a woman talking to a woman) I truly admire you / You truly admire me?

This is the kind of phrase you need to say the right way so please, can someone help me to unlock this mystery and translate this to polish.

If there is another verb to use or a perfect expression for admiration -please let me know.

Du faar inte oversatta ord for ord! You cannot translate word for word, even when the expressions are similar. Try to find a different way of saying the same concept in Polish:-)

1. Naprawdę cię podziwiam./Naprawdę mnie podziwiasz?

It's all the same (a man or a woman - it doesn't matter in this case).

Oh, I guess I should give some explanation:


In the example you've given in the Present Tense it doesn't matter whom you're talking to and who's talking.
It would matter who's talking in the Past Tense and Conditional Sentences (the ones with "would" in English), but not in the Future Tense, but, again, not whom you're talking to - it's not important in your example.

Present Tense:
I truly admire you. - Naprawdę cię podziwiam. (f/m)

Future Tense:
I will admire you. - Będę cię podziwiać. (f/m)

Past Tense:
I truly admired you. - Naprawdę cię podziwiałam. (f) / Naprawdę cię podziwiałem. (m)

Conditional Sentence with "would":
I would truly admire you... - Naprawdę podziwiałabym cię... (f) / Naprawdę podziwiałbym cię... (m)

Oh, wait a minute, I forgot about questions. In questions it would matter whom you're talking to but not who's talking - in Past Tense and Conditional Sentences with "would".

Past Tense:
You truly admired me?

Naprawdę podziwiałaś mnie? (talking to a woman)
Naprawdę podziwiałeś mnie? (talking to a man)

Conditional Sentence with "would":

You would truly admire me?

Naprawdę podziwiałabyś mnie? (talking to a woman)
Naprawdę podziwiałbyś mnie? (talking to a man)

I don't have any polish speaking friends. But I kind of know an elderly man, very skilled and whom i think very highly of, whom I've been working with from time to time. He's from Poland. My mission is to make him convinced that teaching me some polish is his devotion. Trzymaj za mnie kciuki!
