Life / Polish "Mall Girl" Culture? [125]

Prostitutes were always around in Poland but never publicized. Now with them cool malls it sure beats the hell rather than laying in them woods waiting for a tira to drive by.

But how do they get in those bathrooms where the mall babas always sit demanding your 1 złoty. Do they do it in the men's bathroom or the women's?

Food / Stuffed cabbage - gołąbki - recipe [59]

You can also stuff them with roadkill. Dead rats have the best flavor, however if the roadkill has been there on the road for a while, runned over at least 10.000.000.000.000 times, it adds that zesty flavor to it.

Work / Veteranary Internship in Poland [4]

Veterinay science takes a lot of studying and concentration, if she doesn't speak Polish she will not understand anything. I took my internship with a vet locally, but if she doesn't know the vocabulary in english, and there is a lot, it will become confusing to her in Polish. She needs to know Polish to understand. And if she wants to become a vet in the US, why make it harder by studying Polish medical vocabulary which she won't need? Although it is interesting to see the differences in practices between the vets in Poland and America, once she becomes a vet tech or practicing veterinarian, she could travel to Poland and give some insights.

But if she doesn't know too much Polish, it will be difficult.

USA, Canada / Moving back from Canada to Poland, yes or no? [39]

Moving back from Canada to Poland, yes or no?

Yes.You have to move back, if you don't the muslims will take over Poland. They are building the 5th mosque in Warsaw and have plans for the 6th one. There are over 40,000 muslims in Poland now, which doubled since 10 years ago. The Poles are moving out and the Muslims are moving in. And multiplying. And multiplying.

Soon there won't be a Poland anymore.

USA, Canada / US resident, have a baby with a Polish girl. Need help on Polish Passport. [30]

I am not sure if Poland is a signatory yet

Yes Poland is in Hague convention
Who has custody of a child? If you both do, she cannot leave without your signature, if she does she commited international kidnapping.
Is she here legally?
Talk to a lawyer
If you are not married then until you go to court and have a blood paternity test done, You are only the PRESUMED father and have no rights to the baby. Even if you signed the birth certificate. She can do whatever she wants. I suggest getting the test ASAP and getting into court to establish paternity. Of course this will also mean they will set a child support order for you.

UK, Ireland / WHAT IS SO SPECIAL LIVING IN U.K [90]

We're also less judgmental, people tend to get on with it without judging people by how they dress or what they look like....

Ain't that the truth.
In Poland the first thing they look at is what you are wearing. Specially the women, they will start from the shoes all the way to your hair. Like who cares what you wear? UK has cool new styles, there is freedom of expression, unlike in Poland where people are afraid to dress differently and worry about what they say about you.

In the UK you see all kinds of races of people, but when you see someone looking different in Poland they will stare at you, but they are getting better at opening up to new things, which is good for Poland thanks to joining the EU.

In the UK you can eat anything you want, in Poland same old stuff, gołąbki and bigos over and over. Yes it's good, but try something different there..

The reason why many Poles went to UK was probably that they know English better than Swedish

More Swedes know english than Poles, I was there and everyone I talked to spoke english, and they didn't have that horrible accent.

Work / Is it normal for companies/schools in Poland to be rude? [116]

However, after that I didn't hear anything from them. I've emailed them, but still had no response.

Probably went on an "urlop" and zastępca knows nothing or deleted the mail. Write again.

Love / Polish girlfriend going back to Poland if I dont buy engagment ring [85]

Materialistic madam !

End the romance.

I agree. A ring is just a symbol of marriage. There are more important and valuable things in life than how much you paid for a stupid ring. She is materialistic, you will have financial problems with her in the future. If she loved you, she would accept whatever you give her as a symbol of love and understand that it is the love that counts not a piece of jewelry.

USA, Canada / REFUSED A HOLIDAY VISA TO THE U.S CAUSE IM POLISH [323]

Sure, those who made law discriminatory against Polish citizens.....

You still don't get it. Sounds like Polish mentality that the world owes them something and never responsible for their own actions. When you have a visa and it expires, go back. Don't overstay, it's illegal and that's what causes this visa issue for Poland.

But you will never understand...
