News / Why has the US dollar reached almost 3.99 zł in Poland? [56]

richer people and bad for the poo

How do you define rich and poor in this society?
$ being almost 30% higher just makes importers in Poland really miserable with there pre orders.same it benefits the exporters who made deals in $.How will it go next 7 months is really a mystery with elections in US.

USA, Canada / Certificate of Good Conduct (no criminal record) from the USA [11]

Because of business, where I needed a lottery and liq license.(I have nothing to hide or to be ashamed of)criminal background checks are required also to get a firearm permit.

I honestly dont remember why i needed character certificate...but was for some Polish documents maybe my karta pobuta then.

Oh for $1.99 you can get criminal records etc from lots of sites like white pages.com etc but I wonder if they are admissable, beware of the fine print they make you click on as then they charge you every month if you dont call to cancel there subscription.

I'm living in Poland right now this is why it's more complicated...

Cant you send a power of attorney duly notarised by the embassy to someone who can get it from the local police station on your behalf(if you have a valid driving license as I gave it to my wife who picked it up for me and mailed me)This was all over 10 years back though. In any case you can call your local police station and ask.You can also call the embassy citizen services consular and ask for solution as well.

I would recommend starting with the FBI.

That is a long process(around 4 weeks) with fingerprinting etc and the fee I remember was around 50$,I know thats what one has to go through for state lottery, liq license and firearm licenses.Again that is a criminal background check and not a character of good standing certificate.

my question is how can I get this from US?

Just go to the local police station the address what you have on your driving license and they will give it to you.I use to get it for some paperwork in Poland.

Life / Poland is safe to visit - "Daily Mail" [100]

LOL what debt when she working as a waitress might have nothing, they will not put her in prison for a civil suit settlement debt.If he gets a settlement even for 100k how will he collect if she has no means to pay. Also I wouldnt know how long is the judgement in EU good for to collect and how will he monitor her if she ever in life has money (lottery, inheritance etc)Also if she does I am sure she will play smart to hide it which is very easy.Garnishing wages will not work either if it was the means to support herself and family until the stupid brit settles for 25pln a month to collect 100k pounds.

Work / Polish Salary and Tax [43]

why those IT employers hire 3rd worlders rather than Poles.

Because those people will do the same work for 3000pln netto for which a Pole would ask 9k and immigration to Poland is way easy.Until they regulate, it will only get worse.

Law / Unable to repay bank loan in Poland. What are the consequences according to the law? [18]

. If you can't pay it just go, if you need to come back and function here again, then you would probably have to figure it out.

I hope you know the beast "KOMURNIK",if you come back they probably and im certain they can garnish your wages.I did get my money through him, by him invading the debitors bank account and forefeiting the sum owed including komurnik and court fee.

News / The European Health Card. Why don't the Poles know about it? Free Medical care. [26]

If any pre existing condition before one leaves his homeland is never going to be covered unless your base insurance will accept to cover or has a agreement abroad .Only complications, after fighting with Ins company, from that might be if you get lucky.Eg:infection from a wound that was being treated before your travel.

Insurance business is there to make money and not for charity.
