Life / Whats with going to sauna naked in Poland? [41]

I have been to a few public saunas in Poland and everybody was on swimsuits and trunks. I studied in Finland however and wearing swimsuit or any other clothes for that matter is actually not allowed in public saunas. It's a norm to go to sauna butt naked there. I guess it's the same in all Nordic countries. I think going to sauna without any clothes is much more hygienic and comfortable.

Wow, I didn't know that, I already use the Ty form like "Co Ty myslisz?" (since the beginning when I had very less knowledge of Polish). My boyfriend always told me it's absolutely fine to call them that way. But I have never directly addressed them, if I have to talk to them, I sort of just look at them and talk and hence no need of calling them out by name or something else.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I am a girl by the way. And yes I am quite young and they address me by my first name. I have good relationship with both of them but was a bit wary of addressing them with first name, so haven't so far. I shall try using Pan/Pani in the future, but they know me quite well so it might be too formal, I don't know :D

Hmm, I was just told that they were thinking of the same thing. Although it doesn't really make sense to me why a Polish company would need some South Asian languages as requirements, haha. But well, if that's the way, so it is. I hope for the best.

Guys, I have again been told that getting a work permit will be a very elaborate process for them, and hence the company wants me to first get a permission to stay in Poland (I am currently doing my Erasmus exchange here on the basis of my Finnish student RP). The company believes that having a permission to stay in Poland as a student exempts me from having to obtain a work permission. From what I know, this is not true, because even in Finland, students are allowed to work only on holiday months and for certain hours per week. I am confused here, because they (foreigners office and the company) don't seem to have adequate information on how to proceed with this case. Am I issued a permission to stay here on the basis of Erasmus stay here? And will that allow me to work at this company (related to my studies)? What should I do next?

Wow, then that pretty much nils my chances since I do not really possess such extraordinary skills. I am pretty sure there is a handful of (if not a lot) unemployed computer science graduates in this country who would jump at the chance of getting a job at this company. Thanks for the reply!

Merged: How easy is it to get a Polish work permit?

Hi everyone! I had been living/studying in another EU country until last year when I came on an Erasmus exchange here. I come from Nepal, and was recently offered a job (software tester) at a company here. But since they haven't had experiences with hiring non-EU workers, I am kind of worried about how they will handle the paperwork. I was referred to this job by my Polish boyfriend, and hence I suppose the company didn't publish any vacancy notices for this position. I was told by the immigration office today that the company has to prove that they couldn't find anyone Polish or from EU suitable for this position, and hence willing to hire me. This sounds like such a complicated process to me and I'm worried it's not going to be easy. How do the companies prove that they didn't find anybody better (from Poland or EU)? :o
