What a load of rubbish!! 2.5million foreigners my arse!.... why do you paste this rubbish? So 1.9 million people came to Poland to watch the football on a big screen? tripe!!

There was 675,600 maximum tickets available for the games in Poland. Say 100,000 to sponsors leaves 575,600 in total for the public. So lets say that 50% went to Poles that would leave around 330,000 tickets for tourists. Some of those bought 3 tickets so probably around 140-150 different foreigners at most attended the games.

So 150,000 different foreigners (EUROPEAN FANS) watching the matches out of 2,500,000!

Wait for it!!!! 6 people in every hundred who came to Poland actually watched a game in the stadium? 6%!

Thats about 12 people on every flight that came into Poland?

Did you visit a fanzone...the one in Gdansk would have held about 20,000 tops! what a load of RUBBISH! the one in gdynia was around a fountain and probably held 1,000!!

And the calibre of students enrolling in degrees now compared to 30 years ago is a lot less. Labour 50% of students in higher education paid to the idea that degrees were for the educated elite. Most degrees now arn't worth the paper that they are printed on (general studies? media studies? David Beckham studies!!! ffs).

I still stand by the fact that experience counts for more then education.

Apart from jobs where degree's are needed in order to get a qualification to practice then degrees on a whole offer nothing to the prospective employee that a good amount of hands on experience or a good practical college course does. Trust me... I employ people.

It's about time it situation reverted back to decent degrees for the brightest of students and the rest of the money saved to create decent work-based training for the rest.

Really? 1986 'O' levels not an ounce of 'coursework' or 'multiple choice answers'. Exams have been dumbed down so much in the last 30 years. Makes the teacher/lecturers (labour voters) look good. To me a GCSE is nothing... i did 'o' level, 16+ and GCSE in Maths (all in one summer in 1986) and the only one i failed was the 'o' level.

Maybe there's a reason that youth unemployment is so high. Companies won't employ new graduates with over the top expectations and rubbish qualifications. Experience always wins out. p.s. if there is a 50 year old with 5 o levels and a 25 year old with 12 gcse 'a' plus's i know who'd i take on.

I can't think of any industry where employees looking for an employee would overlook somebody with experience for somebody with a better education. Especially nowadays when most degrees arn't worth the paper that they're written on.. Unless the employer is looking to cut costs!

I am english citizen because of where i was born and a citizen of the street in that town.
i am a british citizen because england is a member of the island of great britain...
I am a Uk citizen because britain and northern ireland make up the uk
I am a european citizen because the uk is a member state of the eu.

My passport is issued by a member state of the EU... it therefore is an EU passport. To somebody from outside of the EU a passport to enter and work in any EU state should they get one.

As a member of the EU I can be afforded protection of another EU member states consulate should i need it outside of the EU.

Polish law does not deal with the issue of dual citizenship. Therefore Poland will view a dual citizen as if he or she was solely Polish. Thus, Poland does not recognize the foreign citizenship of its nationals when they are on Polish soil.

So nett contribution of 1.9b euro...the UK government just gave the eu 1.5billion pounds yesterday!!! ... Poland in 2009 took nearly 7 and the figure has risen since then.

The British government has only take more from the EU that it gave once...in 1975. Which was coincidentally the year of the EU referendum. The EU costs the UK around 118 billion each year (including trade deficit) the EU couldn't exist without the UK... it could without Poland!

Let me know your source for the UK begging to joining the EU... because by my recollection it wasn't called the EU back then (of course a Pole wouldn't know this) It was called the 'common market'.. Entry was vetoed by the French in 1962 and 1967 but on the 3rd occasion the UK joined. In fact the UK refused entry at the inception of the common market but changed it's mind after the Suez conflict. However, the French vetoed the UK member ship as it said that the UK had too close ties with the US and would be detrimental. It was French anti-Americanism (scared of US food imports hampering French production - they still hang on the the CAP today) that stopped the UK joining and nothing else.

So before you spout off about UK history get your facts straight or read it from a non polish source!!
