Work / (IT field) moving from India to Poland -Wroclaw in May '11 [46]

Hi Stu,

I thought the same not that i have 'racist' or 'racism' thought in my mind. When Turkey was accepted as EU member couple of years back, i was very surprise, cos the culture, physiology, religion, food, tradition, way of life and thinking etc etc etc. according to me, they look more close toward middle eastern, and i could'nt believe and I have difficult time to understand as to why it is accepted as a part of EU.

So in future, there is a plan to include those countries you named? that sound a bit crazy to me. Then it wont be EU anymore to me.

jarnowa: i think it is wrong that they hired a Turk instead of an EU citizen

Turk are EU citizen.

But having worked with some Hindu guys in the past they seemed to be let say too open with their physiological needs ;)

I could'nt agree more, well said.

Love / Filipina having a relationship with a Polish Man [95]

I like the love stories i read here...........It would be nice to meet you all guys and chat with a coffee in hand in real place, face to face.

Polish guy, atleast to the one i know work hard. Can be sarcastic at times too ;-) .....
I like it that for many families of polish, family is considered still very important which i think is great.

But then again, there are always some sort of culture barrier in terms of language etc, if one have to live in each others countries.

News / Don't let Poland become like my country, France. [630]

First i said to myself i will not reply this, but after reading again, i decided to comment.
registeredd- I understand your point to an extent but let me generalised the whole Europe not just France, why is the so called 'white' decide to have very few children, this is my point. I've read in a news online quite some time ago, that so called 'white' will be the least in number in the next 40-50yrs to come, as there is much number in Africans and Asians population in the whole world, and those majority of the country do not restraint themselves in terms of having a child unlike the west (Europe), as developed white countries tend to have children very less in number, (which in my opinion is that they - the westerners think too much about future, of the future child, their lifestyle, there are many things to sacrifice when having a child although a child do bring lot of happiness and other positive side).

So all these, africans, asians, etc.the majority are of developing 3rd world country migrated to those developed countries, they carry their culture and really do not care or thought too much deeply about having how much children they should have or not have, so the influx and increase in number do go on. Not only that, some white also married non-white, inter-racial, inter-cultural marriage also happened, which create the decline of white skin. (and i am not against such inter-racial marriage as in my opinion love cannot be restricted.)

To answer the whole topic, i would say developed west and the 'white' skin people should not restraint themselves on having a child and should not think way too much on the future of the child and what to sacrifice after having a child etc etc. To make it short, not to be too selfish i would say.

And another personal opinion on France is that, your govt. is too much on passive side of those burqa issue, France is a land of French, ofcourse people (immigrants and their descendants) should be free and have the right to wear what they like and follow their religion etc.but i think French govt. is going way too liberal in this issue of burqa etc etc.

(ps- i dont want to offend anyone white, black, yellow, etc.here, just blurting out my mind)

UK, Ireland / Are you Poles proud of your country? Then why do you keep coming to Britain? [100]

It is good to go to different region, exposure is a good way of learning things. It is a pity that not many people have the finance and security to go and travel out of the country. Likewise holidaying or working or studying in totally different parts of region do give you the edge in terms of thinking and put you out of the box, be it the comfort zone or whatever. I feel that at some point, we all need to be out of that box to see ourselves and have a better way of thinking.

Another is that we human all want a better life which is why many go to other country or better place to earn a better money, not only the Poles going to Britain,(also developed country do open or search for economy in a much lesser developed country, so an American or even a British do search a business for generating a better income, depending on the potential they found, here the keyword is economy), so Britain is obviously a better economy than Poland, so naturally Poles want to go and earn there, it is not because they are not proud of their homeland, but insearch of a better life. I am sure many Poles send money home, those income from outside doh generate the economy of the homeland which is good for the Poles who are in Poland and may not get the chance to go to Britain or whatever. It is a basic nature that we 'all' human want a better life.

I am not a Polish nor British. Im just putting down my 2 cents of opinion here.

USA, Canada / My wife wants to return to Poland...but I want to stay in the US [155]

I know this thread is old, but just want to put my 2 cent here - Is it not possible to make arrangement with your wife that your whole family (you, your wife and your little daughter) to make a visit Poland very year for 1-2 weeks or more?

If your wife is very homesick now, can you go with her to Poland and visit a month and return to US with her?If you go with her, then she may not have the chance to oppose you as you are with her and that there is no cnace for her to stay in Poland?

Life / $3,000-$4,000 a month - would we have enough money to live in Poland? [273]

Sorry to hear about the loss. At the same time,it is very nice to know you move to Poland to be close to your sick father-in-law. Your wife is lucky, and i am sure you are also a lucky man to have such a loving wife, still close to family etc.

I did'nt read the middle part of this thread except the page 1 and this page. Im wondering any plan to move back to US and get on to continue with your business as now the reason to be in Poland father-in-law is no more? .....

And how do you like the experience in Poland so far? ...im curious. :-)

s2good2: .Please do NOT take it out on me. I did nothing to require such an attack.

why do you even care? :-) This forum is full of jerks, you'll get used to it after a while.

I agree some of the member here are real nasty or such a jerk (let me borrow your word). Even on a simple post they automatically flared up, and wrote 'sucker' etc., so check yourself on some of my thread post.

Polonia / Anyone travelling from Warsaw to New Delhi willing to take some of my belongings (photos)? [30]

Hi Stu,

I understand your point and precaution etc.

I am also doing a cargo/post also, but like i said earlier, there are few things also i would like hand-to-hand exchange.

I am in India currently, so a friend of mine will take care it there, to whovever is coming from there, my friend is Polish. There is no illegal thing involve (i can say it many times but that will not make much sense, which is normal and well, ofcourse you have the right to not to trust me).

You can call me naive or whatever, i still believe in goodness/kindness of people whatever you may call it, that is also one reason i post here on open forum.

By the way, from whatever you mentioned here. Is heroine or Cocaine popular in Poland ? Just curious. Polular enough and lets say to even send to other country?

"Madam" go find Your suckers somewhere else, this offer of Yours smells worse than the Ganges in summertime.

This is what i will call names.

Okay, you read a book written by some unlucky Pole, cheated by some bad Thai, but that does not mean you can paint ALL PEOPLE in the SAME BRUSH.

Plus, i do not ask you to change your view.

Hi Stu,

Thank you for your info. Yes, i do know about such thing.

They can check my belongings themselves before they bring it to their home for packing, and see for themselves what it is. Package doesnt mean it will be packed, anyone who is ready to bring can see and look what it is, it is personal items. Infact I am simply asking a favour that's it, not a request or a demand.

One more thing, i think you are not correct about illegal to carry other people belongings, cos even last year March, i have a friend who brought me my belongings from Warsaw to here.

Hi,

I would like to do request a big personal favour, that is, anyone who is travelling to New Delhi, Indiafrom Poland (specific Bialystok or Warsaw) from the month of August (as June and July, i will not be available but travel). The traveller can be Polish, non - Polish as long as they are from either Warsaw and Bialystok,Poland but that will visit New Delhi, India. I would like to get my package from there, it will notbe much weight. Let me announce it upfront that i am also sending it by post/cargo but would like to get other few things by personal hand-to-hand other than the post.

If anyone kind enough to give me a hand on this, i will be very glad. Will do a favour once reached India :-), how about a dinner from me, or any other?

Please anyone who is coming, please PM me, we can discuss further.

best regards,
