UK, Ireland / The more subtle differences: Ireland/Britain v Poland [310]

I wish Poles would bring less of their negativity and more of their art and culture to the countries they choose to relocate to.

Absolutely, I was curious about why Poles where moving here in big numbers, and I've found very few positive comments vs negative comments, originally I was actually quite happy about this, provides a helping hand to labour work in the UK and they get something good in return.

But after reading all these comments it's very disconcerting, it seems few here enjoy British society/culture, and very few want to engage with it.

I feel sorry for the Polish people who genuinely want to be here, all this negativity is only going to make things harder for them in the long run.

UK, Ireland / Ive been in the UK for 6 days to relocate and im going back to Poland. [281]

Seriously, it's sad to see people so deluded that they think the UK is going to be some sort of mighty country that can provide them with a fantastic life full of opportunities.

The fact is: it's a country, like any other, full of it's own problems, and full of it's own people.

The foreigners you're seeing are likely to be visitors, UK is a big tourist destination, London being the biggest destination and port of call in the world thanks to it's business links and cultural history.

I'm glad you're going back to your own country because frankly your attitude is **** poor, you can't come here and expect everything to be handed out to you on a plate, especially in the middle of the worst recession we've experienced for decades, 'ugly' people are everywhere, and I'm very sure if I went around thinking "oh everyone is ugly here" in Poland, that's all I'd see.

It goes both ways, if you want to come here you've got to have an open mind, accept something and give something back otherwise you're going to go exactly the way you've gone.
