Life / Unwanted furniture - Warsaw charity? [2]

Hi.

We are weeks away from a move out of Warsaw and we don't want to ship our few bits of furniture.

Is there a charitable foundation anywhere in Warsaw that would be interested in collecting it and putting it to good use (it is ikea stuff and only 18 months old so its in good condition - bed, drawers, side tables, wardrobe, dining table, TV stand and maybe an aircon unit)

If you know of any can you please let me have their phone number.

Thank you

Food / Polish Beer Recipes [39]

Thanks for the info re the new homebrewing shop.. it has made my OH very happy - he has been thinking about starting brewing his own beer for ages but was just pondering how to obtain the kit....so he has just ordered a starter kit from the site now LOL.

Any ideas of where is best to get bottles (I've seen them in Carrefour). He also wants to start mashing ... help on where in Warsaw or close is has ingredients for sale would be appreciated - if there is anywhere that is.

Work / TEFL Jobs in Poland - your success story? [16]

I emailed my CV to as many schools as I could find then followed them up with a phone call. I did however leave it a bit late (due to not arriving in Poland earlier) but managed to get a position more by luck as a teacher 'left' the school so they needed a replacement.

Start your application process as early as you can, personally I would say July-August before school starts in Sept.

Work / Girl looking for job speaking English apart from teaching English. Ideas? [30]

Teaching English is very rewarding but also hard work. I've just completed my very first year teaching as I am like the OP.. lack of Polish but really wanted to work and get to know people as well as generate some cash. I get paid 50zł for a 45 min lesson and charge 60zł for private hour long lessons.

Good luck.

P.s. Translator .. could you PM me please re jobs for English speakers. I tried to PM you but I'm new here and I've not posted more than 4 useful posts so can't get to you :-)
