Genealogy / Looking for Dziekanczyk family origins and more [6]

boletus, that was incredibly helpful!

That gives me quite alot of nudges in directions I didn't even know about. I had no idea the name was so rare, that's always a really good or really bad thing isn't it! At least I know if I do find the name, it's more than likely my relatives then. The geni site actually isn't me so you're right, it's a good surprise!

Thank you!

Genealogy / Looking for Dziekanczyk family origins and more [6]

Wonderful info! Thank you Maksym! That gave me a positive answer about Eva parents, plus it shows 2 other siblings. Interesting how far apart in age Eva is from them.

That looks like a good genealogy site, I'll have to learn to navigate it.

Genealogy / Looking for Dziekanczyk family origins and more [6]

Hi! I'm looking for help with my family name of Dziekanczyk. This is my great great great grandmother -

Eva Dziekanczyk born abt 1816. I believe her father was Jan Dziekanczyk and her mother was Rozalia Grugiel.
Eva married Simon Guligowski.

Would any of these names point me towards an origin? Is there any way to find out more about these relatives? I'm in the USA and I don't really know how to find out anything more from here. So any info is very appreciated!

And one more request, is there anyone who can give me a clue how to pronounce Dziekanczyk? I would hate to be saying wrong! :)

Genealogy / KRUSZYŃSKI: Looking for a Parish resource [6]

Thank you Joe! I did find that site a couple of months ago and there was some great info on it too!

I'm a Kruszynski descendent, I know that my great great grandfather and family lived in Wielka Podles before they immigrated to America.

Is there any chance that you know anything about this line of Kruszynskis?

Genealogy / KRUSZYŃSKI: Looking for a Parish resource [6]

Hello everyone! A few months ago, I ran across a site that had records from Polish Parishes, I was checking thru each parish to find any of my ancestors. It was a great site but I failed to bookmark it - what an idiot! I even found a line of Kruszynskis in it that I know now might very well be my family line.

Does this site sound familiar to anyone?

Genealogy / Looking for info on the name Guligowski [14]

Wow, with all of them in a concentrated area, it should be much easier to find something! Polonius3, you are great!

Some people, like me, just don't have a clue how to trace our ancestors overseas. And I am very appreciative of all help!

Thanks!! :)

Thanks Polonius3, very helpful info and I have to add, pretty funny too! This might be alot harder to trace any connection to than I thought, but it's a fun story!

Thanks :)

Genealogy / Looking for info on the name Guligowski [14]

Hi again! This time I'm trying to find info on the name Guligowski. This is another great great grandfather, we believe that he was German but took his step-fathers name. Unfortunately we have no other info on either of his parents.

I'm hoping that with info on this name I can maybe find some records that would tell me more on who he was.

Thanks :)
