USA, Canada / Education transfer USA (Micro biology from a technical university in Poland) [30]

It sounds like she has experience enough to not need to worry too much about if her Polish degree is equivalent to a BS or Master's degree.

Call around to some employers and see what they say.
Have your fiance type up a resume and maybe get a few references to write and sign something for her.

Yes, I forgot to mention to call a few universities and see what type degree they would classify that your finance has. She might have to get her transcripts from the university that she graduated from, and have them translated to English.

My fiance hasn't finished university yet, but she will be transferring to a university here, hopefully this next fall, and she will have to do all of this :P

History / How Polish history is viewed by other countries textbooks [124]

So they couldn't stand to be German and French. Why did they prefer to be Polish? What is so attractive in being Polish? If you answer that question successfully, you will find the key to promote Poland abroad.

I am sure it depended on how they were raised, treated by others, and what influences they had.
Obama is black and white, but he embraces one and denounces [seemingly at times] the other.

You might want to call a couple of businesses, schools, places she would like to work, ect. to see what they require and say about a 5 year degree from Poland.

Each school or business will have it's own requirements. Some may accept, some may not.
The best place to ask would be the potential employers.

USA, Canada / American Marrying Polish woman - visa question [41]

Not true. All she has to do is to apply for "adjustment of status".I think it cost $1070 (including biometrics) but check on USCIS page.

Utter BS... Entering the US on a tourists visa with the intent to marry AND stay in the US is a violation of the terms of the visa, and can result in deportation and can greatly hurt the chances of that person to get a future visa to the US.

Yes but I like to travel to poland and a holiday is better than to give to the US govt.

True :P

She was awarded 10 year multi entry visa

And congrats :)

USA, Canada / American Marrying Polish woman - visa question [41]

OK, I thought you were trying to find a way for her to stay in the US after marrying on a tourist visa. I am not sure of the cost differences between a fiance visa and combined tourist/spouse visa, but the cost of the extra plane tickets for you to visit her, and for her to come back to the US would drive the cost of the tourist/spouse visa much higher than just the fiance visa.

USA, Canada / American Marrying Polish woman - visa question [41]

A tourist visa is easy enough to get.
I am in the same situation as you. My fiance visited me this last summer. She got her tourist visa very easily on the first attempt. She is 20 years old.

Now as far as marrying on a tourist visa, you can legally do it, but she will have to return to Poland before her tourist visa expires, and then you will have to apply for a spouse visa.

She cannot stay in the US to receive a spouse visa while being on a tourists visa, even if you get married, because a tourist visa is just that, for visiting and then going back to their home country.

So you might as well just get the fiance visa to save time and money.

Travel / Visa to Poland (stay more than 90 days in Poland) [45]

Nuff said.

My point was that it was still possible for dual citizenship in USA as long as she didn't renounce her Polish citizenship to Polish officials.

If you don't know, why do you post that you don't know?

That I don't know what the oath says, but I KNOW that you can have dual citizenship in the USA.

Don't you have to renounce it (or at least, declare to the Americans that you have) to gain US citizenship anyway?

I don't think so. You would have dual citizenship, American and Polish.

Food / Powidła - Poland's versatile plum butter [19]

I love apple butter! It's big with my family here in Texas. Plums are my favorite fruit, so I'm sure I would like plum butter. I will have to try it sometime.

Travel / Poland Warsaw Airport to Train [26]

I fly into WAW (warsaw airport) at 17:20. I need to get to Krakow that night.

I just did this (in reverse order) a month ago. The bus took 30 minutes from the central train station to WAW. This was at 6am, so there wasn't any traffic. I'm sure if you leave WAW at 17:45, you can get to the train station in 10-20 mins. I think you will be able to make this train at 18:30, but it will be a stressful stretch :P
