History / Why did communism in Poland fail? [180]

Marx was a high level intellectual scholar, low level realist, low level pragmatist..
Herzl-like people are more realist, more pragmatist. They foresaw that Jews in Europe after all troubles for centuries had needed a land to be able to live safely.

I didn't say Marx was a believer of a religion, in Judaism or in any other religion. But, like all people, he too knew that there was a term zion-ism, even before Marx himself too, which hadn't become reality till Herzl-like people started to make it real due to the need.

While Marx-like high level intellectuals were busy with socialism in Germany, Europe and Russia, people like Herzl, also seeing experiences of Marx-likes, became more pragmatic and went for realizing Zion movement which I consider it was totally necessary. But, Marx-like people will be understood later, after we live economy crisis more and more.

News / Andrzej Lepper committed suicide [98]

Neither of them were Jewish, where did you get that from?

Given here. Kazcynski bros are in the list. But, Lepper not. Maybe, forgotten?

(sure it doesn't matter for me - but, we know, it matters for many people.)

News / Andrzej Lepper committed suicide [98]

He said the incident is just a provocation resulting from, among the others, actions undertaken by him against the Russia to Germany gas pipeline.

So, the court decided that rape was a slandering to him in 2008.
His party of Lepper too was against Russia?
Likely so. Maybe, not ideological, but, beneficiary based.
And, Lepper was a coalition party with Katczynski.

(ps: Lepper too was a Jew? like Kaczynski.)

News / HIV infected Nigerian has bitten bus ticket's controler in Cracow! [56]

It'll be enough to put him in prison and tell everyone what he's done.

Nobody can touch him then (if he has really HIV) unless some prisoners want to suicide together with him.

Grubas, if the claim is true (I doubt), then, it is too late.. Closing Poland borders won't be enoug, don't let Poles go out of Poland, either as there will be risk for other people.

Btw, about this AIDS/HIV, you know old theory that says it is a lab virus developed somewhere in West and with a collobration of Church, particularly Vatikan.. and spreaded to Africans first..

If this theory is true, then, classical saying is "what goes around comes around." Just hope that this theory isn't true. Or, Vatikan is in big sin.

History / Why did communism in Poland fail? [180]

Zionism isn't a new thing in its normal meaning. This word zionism is said to appeare first time in a work of Iranian Jew historian in 11th century. Zionism in early days was not more than the hajj-ism which is like Mekka hajj-ism of muslims, St Mariam hajj-ism of Catholics, etc. Religious Jews in old days were desiring to visit Zion hill in Jerusalem and this is normal. Those who were desiring Zion hill was being called zion-ists. Its meaning was twisted later in last century when some wealthy Jews were interested in really buying Zion hill and its around. No need to blame. In history, many land buy and sell happened many times. This is just one of them. Marx of course knew zionism, but, since he is a respected man, a science scholar, he didn't mention such things clearly not to enter unnecessary debates.

News / Andrzej Lepper committed suicide [98]

Lepper's word, "how can you rape a prostitute?", was not a question probably, (was it?) but, it was probably for defencing his party member, a MP, against slanderings. Maybe, that party friend became with a prostitute in Belgium, and that was bad enough for Polish conservative community.. But, I guess, even Polish conservative community laughed at the rape allegation of a prostitute..

Having said this, if Leppek said this "how can you rape a prostitute?" as a question really, then, it is much more important than the rape, etc..

ps: btw, isn't this rape alleagation, that guy tried to have sex without condom, similar to J. Assange case in that 2nd woman with name Sophia claimed same? JonnyM, you should call Assange too as vile individual.

News / Polish flag was changed by taking the coat of arms? [48]

Poland's national colors are white and red. On the flag these assume the form of two horizontal bands of equal width and length, the upper white and the lower, red.

Meaning of these colors in the flags are much earlier than this, as I mentioned above. But, the use of red and white in Poland flag officially can be like that mentioned above in the article about the near history.

Btw, the use of the eagle in the flags is relatively newer thing than the symbol (white-red-blue-etc, but, these colors symbolizes some objects as I mentioned above.) Use of eagle dates back to Sumerians-Hittites en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double-headed_eagle which have also been used many countries in the past. So, eagle, flower etc like objects can be considered as more modern symbols of the time comparing abstract geometrical symbols including the colors which symbolizes planet, star, sky, earth, etc.

But, in today world, there is a trend toward abstract-life style. So, red-white flag without eagle fits this trend. But, military flags prefer some wildy signs. So, if a war happens, polish flag with eagle can be seen more everywhere in Poland.

News / Andrzej Lepper committed suicide [98]

Lets look at the comment, above, of a newspaper back in 2005 who made fun of Lepper then. What did Lepper say? He said: "How can you rape a prostitute?" He is wrong of course... but, existence of prostitutehood is a rape itself to a community and this isn't mentioned by anyone including that newspaper who made fun of this word of Lepper.. It is not normal to hear a rape alleagation from a prostitutes who accept even to be raped, for money.. So, she was most likely paid to do this rape allegation against a member of Leppek's party.. While this is so, it won't be surprise if allegations about Lepper too are slanderings as well.

News / Citizen-led Initiative on Abortion Law in Poland [50]

Churches, mosques, etc.. When they put their noses into "this world" things, confusions are unavoidable. They need to focus themselves more about "next world" etc things.. Churches, mosques, etc already completed their missions about "this world", said their words about this world. But, they still want to play major role in "this world" rules, laws, etc and we know why ..

Lets be honest.. These religion institutes follow the science, don't they? Yes, so. So, when an invention in science is made, then, we hear them, their opinions of religious scholars. For example, condom was invented long time ago, but, the church said ok to it just a few months ago.. So, the science is leader and it doesn't need approval of religious institutions anymore. Today is not same as centuries ago when there was no birth control, when it wasn't known when the embrio becomes a new life, etc etc. You'll tell Church or mosque or whatever, for ex, that after 22 weeks, risk for woman is more.. then, this will be approved by church/mosque/etc too? why necessary? isn't it enough to hear it from science only? It must be.. Maybe, those religious scholars, priests, imams, etc should learn science first and they themselves should discover or invent and then, we can listen to them too.. While there are experts, knowledgable people in such "this world" things, listening to those religious scholars on such this world things including abortion is nonsense.. Anyway. This abortion thing decision should be left to women only and I guess scientists including social scientists will agree in this with me.

News / Andrzej Lepper committed suicide [98]

Ok, I read. But, it still doesn't prove it was suicide. It makes clear only how he died. My mentioning his not killing himself by a gun is about the probability of killing by someone/s else more than by himself. At least, if his money problem was the real reason, the probability of using the gun increases. When it is hanging, it smells more about honor killings, either by himself or, most likely, by someone/s else or by some to give a message to someones. Reading post of Gumishu above, rape pill or sleep-making-pill, etc, it looks like more about honor killing by giving pills first etc. Since it is called rape-pill instead of sleep-drug-pill, attentions are focused onto somethings in his past.

I read this, written in 2005:

europeanvoice.com/article/imported/an-example-of-british-humour/53805.aspx

where it says:

Polish humour? The Belgian authorities are investigating an allegation of rape against Bogdan Golik, a 42-year-old Polish MEP who is a member of the Self-Defence Party. A prostitute alleges that he forced her to have unprotected sex.

The MEP denies her version of events, which are supposed to have taken place at his Brussels apartment in rue Pascale.
Put aside such questions as why a veterinary doctor would be so stupid, or whether this act of Self-Defence will be criticised by the ultra-Catholic League of Polish Families (which might approve of the not-using-a-condom bit). The man must be assumed to be innocent until proven guilty - which would entail lifting his Parliamentary immunity. Instead contemplate the question posed by Andrzej Lepper, Golik's party leader: "How can you rape a prostitute?" Verdict: not funny.

A prostitute claimed that he (a party member of Lepper's party) forced her to have unprotected sex... ? This isn't foreigner to people, isn't it? (my comment: prostitute was probably paid by someone/s else then.)

News / Polish flag was changed by taking the coat of arms? [48]

It is interesting not to see any cross sign in the flag of Poland which is said to be one of most conservative Christian countries.

(white being peace, red being blood)

In its simplest meaning, it is so. But, my guess is the white is actually color of the moon (silvershine looks white in the dark night) and the red is the color of the sun. So, these colors are colors of old pagan religions with moon god, sun god, sky god (blue), earth god, etc. etc. We can see these in turkis flag, actually, dates back more than 2000 years when it was pagan religion:

The crescent moon and star were holy symbols (tengri pagan religion of turks) for pre-Islamic Turkic tribes, while red was the cardinal colour for west (sunset) in ancient Turkic culture. In Turkish tradition, red also represents hegemony, while white represents power, justice, exaltation and purity. (three-crescent on blue ground also used, and the blue represents sky god there.) (not saying everythings were copied from turkic culture. it just preserved old things, old beliefs, religions, cultures simply more, in abstract forms.)

Anyway. So, white represents moon/crescendent and red represents the sun (it is seen red during the sunrise and during the sunset.). Ancient things. Pagan beliefs are still alive and we see this in the colors of flags of everywhere including the western countries.

News / Citizen-led Initiative on Abortion Law in Poland [50]

"Old fashined" family system is a little problematic system as it is patriarchial system which isn't natural really. Nest is made by female. So, leave such decisions including abortion to females. It is their bodies anyway that will take the risk. If we men were the ones who become pregnants, would you let them women decide on us? Definitely not. So, let them women decide themselves and make their own laws about abortion too.

It looks like not a suicide.
I read the page you gave its link above, through google translator, and it mentions a land scandal, but, it might be another irrelevant reasoning.

Through google translator, it is not so clear. Does it imply that there was a serious problem between J. Kaczynski and him? (if so, it seems that brother twin too is on political target.?)

USA, Canada / Why are Polish restaurants not successful in the USA? [698]

Apples are from Kazakhstan if I'm not mistaken.

Probably, origin of apple is unknown. But, there is a claim that its root goes to Kazakhstan. Name of former capital city of Kazakhstan, biggest city there, is Almaty. Actually, this should be "Almali or Almaly (for English pronounciation)". "Alma+li" means "(a place) With Apple."

Btw, we here in Turkey have a type of apple known as "Polonya Almasi", that's, Apple from Poland, or Polish Apple.

If so, it is okay then. Nothing to talk. Let them tell and we shut up. (why are we here if we are to say "yes" to everythings? and, why 3 page here? only Rip is enough then..)

Anyway. This reminds me of famous "First, they came" quote of Pastor Martin:

First they came for the communists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew.

Then they came for me
and there was no one left to speak out for me.

Or maybe, he was just up to his eyeballs in debt along with legal action and took the easy way out rather than facing the music?

So, he didn't have enough money to buy a gun? people with money problem usually prefer to shoot in their heads.. suicide by rope is rarely seen in their suicides of business people, politicians, public characters.

Maybe, some small people are already taken out, who knows..
We know public people, people under spotlights. Maybe, Lepper who was also a loose lips, a politican, was a warning / intimidation to the others.. Or, just a revenge, who knows, as documents are already published by Guardian.

Why wikileaks haven't published MI6 tortures shows that Assange isn't as shown. We have been hearing CIA tortures for a long time, but, haven't heard much about MI6 tortures although it seems it was more than CIA's and more systematic. Guardian published about this a day ago or two. If Lepper spoke about CIA tortures/prisons before, then, he probably had interest in these things, so, he might have also learnt some info about MI6 prisons and tortures too.

News / Citizen-led Initiative on Abortion Law in Poland [50]

not to mention if she gets raped. is it still her fault and her responsibility?

this is too complicated thing.. in unmarried togethership, it is usually easy to classify, when female complains and applies to the law, most of the time, it is considered as rape.. but, in married togetherships, there is no such a thing like rape. Maybe, most of us are products of rapes in marriages..

Not to call a sexual relation a rape, what is needed? Simple, agreement by both sides, by female and by male, isn't it. When marrying, the both sides say "yes" to togethership, that also means "yes" to making baby too. But, are they asked how many babies? No. Usually husbands make decisions about the number of babies. So, even if wife doesn't want another baby, she is not listened to and another baby is made. This isn't a rape, either? It is. But, woman can't apply anywhere and they will have a baby who won't be seen as rape product. If we think older days, probably, most of us are rape products. Women in marriages just don't have voices. In unmarried sexual relations, if forced, we hear their voices of females about the rape and since it is unmarried relation, all institutions including religion institutions and laws usually side with females and put males into jails. So, while similar things happening in sexual relations including rapes in marriages too, why don't we hear their voices of institutions, religious institutions, etc? Simple, they force people to marry and they don't do this for ethics morals etc, but, to make some benefits for themselves.

Anyway. Everybody knows such things already. Then, why did I tell these, rapes in marriages too? For this reason: Okay, usually richer couples can solve their abortion problems by travelling to Austria etc - but, what will poorer masses do? It is easy: What happens if wife goes to law and says, "it was a rape in marriage", what will the judge do? has to accept as things inside marriages are totally on declarations only.. The judge can't break marriage either if wife and husband say they'll stay married.. So, there is rape and couple can do abortion legally. It doesn't have to be rape. Even in accidental cases, a rape claim is done by wife and abortion is done. So simple.

If my opinion is asked about abortion; First of all, the decision of making baby should be left only and only to women whether in married relation or unmarried relation. Then, unwanted pregnancies will be much less and abortion won't be a serious issue then and women will be free to do abortion then as they are women themselves who really know unwanted pregnancy better.

Btw, abortion/killing of very old people who are in dying beds too can be made legal. If euthanasia is made legal, painless methods can be used for such old people too.

he wasn't capable of keeping secrets.

Perhaps, he knew some more important things than he spoke already. and his loose lips might have feared someones.

Anyway, without knowing anything, I can say that whenever a politican kills himself/herself, I always doubt. Politicans usually can find somethings to challenge, to stick the life, not to kill themselves. This is one of main characters of politicans.

History / Why did communism in Poland fail? [180]

you might have named those who designed revolution that would have sorted everything out.

You expect me to say they were "zionists" who designed revolution and then, we would have sorted everything out?

Designers must be true.
They designed international socialism starting in Russia.
They designed national socialism starting in Germany.
Anyway, even Marx himself too was a zionist.

Everythings really logical and I agree..

However, theory/design makers are a thing, appliers are another thing.
For example, this computer wasn't designed by me, but, I have been using it, differently than some others. You know this computer is used differently by many different groups from prn to radicals to sport hooligans to etc etc etc.. Russians got socialism tool like this computer and they used it for their own nationalist beneficiaries at Moscow center especially starting with late 1920s, when WWI was ended and a new era had started. The period between 1917 and late 1920s were not so important, it was a post-war periods everywhere in the world. Even in Turkey, there were many new revolutions in social lifes, etc. So, we need to look at Soviets more after 1930 to see the character of Soviets. It was more Russian nationalism than socialism, let alone international socialism. For Soviets, actually for Russian nationalists, after 1930, socialism became just a tool, absurdly used tool, like this computer tech which is also being used by radical nationalist right wings today. Anyway, it was still good to see that socialism, an old historical desired system of ordinary folks, became an official name of countries. Even this is a big step in human history. I believe other folks too will try and will maybe do a better socialist system in their countries. Or, as Marx said, maybe, it is time to go for global socialism, who knows. I see revolts, protests everywhere in the world. Just yesterday, 250,000 people in Israel protested and complained about their stiuations. If such a thing happened even in Israel, sleeping lazy folks in kingdoms including Arab kingdoms have no right to critisize anywhere else..

Love / Affairs don't pay - Poles say [11]

17% says, pros and cons of romance and benefit are equal.
So, we can assume about half of them, 8.5%, on the benefit side a little bit more.

So, 72% + 8.5% = about 81% on the side of benefits.

About 80% are seperating or having problematic relations. That's, almost equal percentage above with people with opinions favoring benefits.

Either they are wrong in their opinions about benefits before starting relations or they are just simply lying when saying they believe benefits before starting relations.

History / Why did communism in Poland fail? [180]

Ok,then the only logical answer to OP question is:Communism in Poland failed because Soviet Union failed.Right or wrong?

Right. But, it wasn't communism that failed. Even at time Poland became a part of Soviets, Soviets were not communists. (in true sense of communism. Or, if we are to define communism as state control economy, all countries in the world are partially communists. In this sense, communism has failed or not? as still exists everywhere at every country in the world.)
