Food / Quick/Easy Authentic Desserts from Poland [5]

Hello everyone,

I am English and my girlfriend is Polish, I'd quite like to cook/bake some quick/easy desserts for her. What would you suggest for absolute classics which are quite easy and quick to make? - How authentic is this?

I can't post links, but google berserka-blueberry-mazurka and click the first link from Tillamook!

Thanks!

I'd prefer to do it pretty much from scratch (not averse to using ready made pastry though!). I might try and give that one a go at some point. Cheers!

Language / Order of words when adding one word? [9]

Guys,

My Polish extends to about 10-15 words and about 5 phrases, so basic is a bit of an under statement, however, I'd like to wish someone a happy nine month's anniversary tomorrow morning, I looked on Google Translate (useful because of the pronunciation audio!), it claims:

nine month anniversary = dziewięć miesięcy rocznica

whilst

happy nine month anniversary = rocznica szczęśliwy dziewięć miesięcy

Is that correct? - I'm not a languages person, I guess I was just a bit surprised it seemed to change the order somewhat?

I suppose that's a 'mechanical translation' - would that be a natural way to wish somebody (female if it matters) a happy ninth anniversary?!

Thanks in advance!

Language / Order of words when adding one word? [9]

Thank you for the help everyone, in the end I went for the following:

"Wszystkiego najlepszego z okazji dziewiąty Rocznica"

Which with my phonetics I wrote like this!
Shest-Kego Nay-lep-shagor z oh-kar-zee jivv-e-on-tay roch-knee-sha

I appreciate that may make some people shudder, however, I think the message was understood :)

Oh I see, thanks for that, I looked all over the place and everywhere had miesięcznicy as Monthly Report, which I thought seemed a bit strange! With Google saying that Months = miesięcy and Month = miesiąc.
