Love / Polish men are their own special breed ... [96]

Well your wife is correct, us poles are our own special breed. We're different than yanks and american women like us. I think polish guys are better husbands when paired up with non-polish women. Polish women are too difficult.

Enjoy it!

USA, Canada / What should I bring back from the U.S. to Poland? [46]

Any ideas?

Anything and everything you can fit in your luggage. Poland still needs time to catch up to the US in terms of shopping/products.

I always bring clothing with me because polish clothing is expensive as hell and of p.iss poor quality.

Love / Why are Polish women so sexy ? [390]

as to Polish girls, lets be realistic :)

Yes, lets be realistic.

Polish women are not any more beautiful than other european (well except british/irish) or usa/canadian women.

Love / Why are Polish women so sexy ? [390]

there are plenty of pretty girls in those countries too

British and Irish women are among the ugliest white women i've ever come across in my entire life. These women are generally not known around the world for being attractive. I lived on the british isles not too long ago, so i know well.

USA, Canada / Moving back to Poland after 7 years in Canada [22]

The beginning in Canada was very harsh for all of us.

Well going back to Poland will not be easy. Everything is more difficult there than in Canada, i know from personal experience (i was born in Poland, grew up in Canada).

I am very homesick. I miss my family and friends

Many Poles experience this, but many get used to their new lives abroad. 7 years is a long time though...

Interviews usually have to be conducted face to face in Poland. At the very least you have to be in Poland.

Next time you get in touch with a potential employer to schedule an interview, tell them (ummm lie to them) you're back in poland permanently from canada and eager to get an interview. Book a few interviews all within 2 weeks or so and book that time off work to come to poland on "holidays."

Register a polish skype telephone number and put that number on your resume along with a polish address (someone from your family in PL). Zamelduj sie szybko.

If you get a job offer and you take it, try to ask them to let you start in a couple of weeks so you can fly back to canada to give you employer your 2 weeks' notice so you can leave your old job honourably.

Costly, strong potential to not work, but safe.

I think you're out of your mind to go from canada to poland IMHO.

Canada = u pana boga za piecem when compared to Poland

who will work for the retirement plans of the Polish citizens in future?

Immigrants. They will be brought in.

Are there any incentive programs for people how emigrated to bring them back to Poland?

I can't help you here as i am out of touch with this so i will allow some other PFer to step in.

Work / What is the average age of graduate students in Poland? [17]

It seems to me that graduate students in Poland seem to be younger than in the US.

I get the same feeling too. I'll try to find some stats.

However, in Poland there are private and state universities. I think most people who graduate from state schools are younger whilst those graduating from private unis are sometimes older (start uni later, or go part time).

A person will get their bachelor and then enter the workforce.

In Poland most students do their bachelor degree (~3 years) and immediately after do their master's degree(~2 years). For some programmes the bachelor/master's degree is all one programme, meaning that students don't always have to apply to a master's programme.

In the USA/Canada, from what i hear anyway, a Polish master's degree is not recognised as being equivalent to a US/CDN master's degree - and rightfully so.

Law / Got Polish citizenship, now I need a Pesel and passport [26]

Getting a passport, pesel, and dowod osobisty are simple tasks. Get your passport at a consulate/embassy or in poland at and the pesel can be found at the urzad miasta when you apply for a dowod osobisty (bring your passport AND polish birth certificate or proof of polish citizenship).

It will take some time and the b!tches that work in these offices will be rude/unpleasant/try to make things difficult for you, but its not impossible.

It's a shame really to see these fairly attractive young women acting unhappy and grumpy.

Love / POLISH GIRLS... wake up and prove you are respectable.... [135]

they think polish girls are for rent or sale or they are commodity

They're people like you - pakis who come to Poland / western Europe and pick up poor, dumb polish girls to bang (not surprising, paki women = ugly) and get european passports.

I agree with you here. I feel ashamed of polki that throw themselves to third worlders. These women give all Polish women a bad name.

most of them are only looking for sex and a visa and have nothing to offer that Caucasian guys can't give them.

I agree.

to my report 1500 polish girls have married in 2 year to pakistani guys here

Who are you, you all, who write in here, bored students?

They're bored ESL instructors mostly.

the fact is that when white guys see polish beautiful girl making couple with asian guys they feel so jealouse and there is no place for them to express it...so it better they can say something here..

It's not jealousy, it's a feeling of disgust and embarrassment. I feel this when i come across brits and they tell me about Polish women going for these ugly pakis that no other self respecting women would even look at let alone have sex with for any reason.

Life / $3,000-$4,000 a month - would we have enough money to live in Poland? [273]

$3-4K USD / month is really good money in Poland. Poles make around $1k / month. I'm sure your wife will eventually find a job for 2-3K PLN / month and you guys will live better than most Poles (well even w/o her working you will).

Having a Polish wife will make it possible for you to live well in Poland. Most foreigners get ripped off and therefore need more $ to live on.

News / Far-right party organizes 'pro-Polish' march in Silesia [20]

Yes, if I could be arsed to go all the way down to Katowice, I'd have to break out the face-black and the Prada outfit and the yarmulke and find my "Gay black Jews for Poland" sign.

If you could "arse" yourself to go, I would strongly consider paying all your expenses. I think it would be a great investment on my part.

Travel / American woman visiting Poland in March/April [15]

Sadow close to Lubliniec.

I also have been warned stay away from the small towns and rural areas.

Do you realise that Sadów is a village?

You must be visiting some friends because I couldn`t imagine why else a foreigner would come to Poland to visit Sadów and Katowice.

Just wanted to know what should I expect?

Expect stares and glares in rural areas, but probably not so much in the large cities. When talking to people, make sure you let them know you`re from the US not Africa - I think they`ll like you more that way.

Have fun!

News / 10 km of a road in Poland costed... 2,3 bilions of PLN! [13]

Happens often in Poland. Companies get contracts to build roadways in Poland but they buy/use less supplies and keep the excess money. Nothing knew here.

I remember driving on the highway between Warsawa and Bialystock (many years ago before i moved to Poland) only less than 1 year after it was constructed and it already had 2 groves for the tires running several kilometers. It was raining that day too, so you could imagine how dangerous that drive was.

Travel / PKP (Polish National Railway) is a turn off [47]

- expansive

What?? Trains in Poland are dirt cheap!!

- bad service

Most of the PKP staff are unhappy looking (this is quite normal for customer service jobs in Poland) but they do their jobs.

- dirty

I agree with you here, Polish trains are filthy, especially the bathrooms. Only intercity trains are clean, i think - the train from Wroclaw to Berlin for instance is very nice, but i believe it's German.

- uncomfortable

I'd argue that all trains (economy class) are uncomfortable.

Life / Some Poles have fine houses [68]

I agree with most of you, housing in Poland > UK. But housing in Canada/USA >>> the rest. Although I grew up in Canada, I've had the pleasure of living in both Poland and the UK (couple of other countries too) and I must say, when i moved back home to Canada my reaction was "WOW!".

UK, Ireland / ENGLISHMAN JAILED FOR MURDER OF POLISH GIRLFRIEND [47]

ere's no denial, in both Western and Eastern Europe i've seen with my own eyes that a significant amount of white women has no problem to reject decent looking white guys without mercy but when a butt ugly turk or negroe wants to dance or talk with her, she suddenly cares about their feelings by not rejecting them and agreeing to dance/talk so as not to feel racist. It's a disgusting phenomen, but it definitely exists.

White women reject white men and go for blacks, pakis etc. simply to rebel against their parents' expectations. Women can be like children at times.

Life / Support wanted to stop the sale of live carp in Poland [74]

In many western countries lobsters and other fish are kept in small tanks in grocery stores (especially chinese neighbourhoods)!! It's not the ideal arrangement, i'll admit that, but it could be much worse.

Why don't you protest the way animals are slaughtered/tortured before they are turned into packaged meat?

Here's just one of the thousands of videos available online:

* graphic video * Do not watch if you are sensitive.

youtube.com/watch?v=zhlhSQ5z4V4

edit:

Ah what the heck, here is another one for you:

youtube.com/watch?v=RENAGD9PCl8

Livestock beat by farmers, bulls castrated alive, poked & stabbed for fun, electrocuted, etc... animals clearly in excruciating pain as they moan and groan... it's all there, start watching.

I'm all for ending animal cruelty (i like animals) but attacking the sale of life fish in Poland is ridiculous. The fish are not tortured to death like the animals in the above video.

Life / Support wanted to stop the sale of live carp in Poland [74]

So you're saying that it's alright to sell live carp in Poland because some other countries do some worse things?

What i said was that is that it is ridiculous to protest the sale of live carp whilst ignoring acts of animal cruelty as portrayed in the above videos i posted. I've never even heard of the humane society declaring the sale of live fish as being an act of animal cruelty.

Life / Are Poles bankrupt? [35]

Debt is quickly on the rise in Poland, but Poles always find a way to make money na czarno.

I've heard a couple of economists on TV (during the greek crisis) say that they think many non-EU countries (Poland was cited as one country) somehow hide/distort their debts. They also said that greece would not have encountered such problems if they didn't have the euro as their national currency. The euro put an end to cheating on debts. If this is true then Poland will sink faster than the titanic if it adopts the euro.

Love / Polish girlfriend may be pregnant - what girls from Poland think on having a child without marriage? [54]

Oh boy you sure dug yourself in a hole.

This is what you have to do:

1. Get a DNA test to make sure you're the father. If the test is +, proceed to the next point

2. Go to babynames.com

I feel sorry for you if you are the father!

If you had unprotected sex, then why worry? The kid is yours so be happy.

haha How old are you?? This polka could have been sleeping around with other guys, getting tested is wise, unless he doesn't mind paying child support for some other guys kid for the next 18 years.

History / In a German encyclopedia Poland is represented as: [30]

Funny website. I bet a lot of germans believe that stuff.

Random quotes:

You mean your favourite quotes. You probably enjoy reading degrading stuff about Poland to make yourself feel superior to Poles.

Love / Polish traditions and parents (I was dating this Polish guy..) [72]

I bet Mr Smith with a nice Merc would cause a bit o excitement in an avarage polish village family.

These days gone with the wind my friend. Now Mr Smith needs a Merc factory ;)

Nah, Polish girls only want a Mr Smith.

only dates seriously polish girls

Sounds like an idiot.

my question is polish parents really strict on who ther children marry does it have to be polish girls if everyone else in there family is polish?

Polish parents can be a bit conservative at times. Your "non-polishness" may not be the problem either, it could be that his parents just don't like you.

News / Pubs in Poznan kick out Roma? [256]

Pubs in Poznan kick out Roma

h

Fantastic! When I lived in Wroclaw I was appalled by the way in which these gypsies lived:

- discouraged their children from attending school (elementary school education is believed to be enough for gypsies)
- few speak Polish well (even though they've lived in Poland all their lives) and don't even have a written language of their own!

- encourage kids to beg for money in the rynek (pretend to be sick) and pickpocket tourists
- not interested in working (some of the better gypsies sell rugs)
- when not begging, they just sit around in the klatki (when it's cold/raining) or roll out their rugs in the podwórko and munch on sunflower seeds (leave the shells on the sidewalks for groundskeepers to mop up)

- collect welfare, demand (and get) free housing on the basis that they're "minorities who need to be protected"
- gypsies in wroclaw (that i unfortunately lived near for a little while) told me that they collect welfare cheques in Poland and Britain!! This is why they are nomads.

- dirty, disorganised, lazy lifestyles

I've asked many gypsies in Poland why they don't want to work and/or go to school - not a single one of them wanted to answer my question! They are nierobole by nature.

Gypsies are leaches - they take but do not give back. Imagine if we all did that?

Here is how they live in the CZ Republic:
