Love / WHY DO POLISH MEN LIE? [150]

Why do polish men lie?
Why do american men lie?
Why do swedish men lie?

Come on... do you really think your nationality determines whether you lie or not? Then all women are obviously not smarter than most men.

Life / Good place to live in Poland (if you want to move on)? [66]

Only Bialystok, B-stok, Whitestock ;-]

B-stok is nice, pretty green city. The heart of Zubr and Zubrowka. :)
And the new Galeria Alfa is probably the best designed mall I've seen.

Love / Nice Polish women photos [329]

In Germany there is an advertising line that goes like "MediaMarkt, I'am not stupid, am I?" (MediaMarkt, ich bin doch nicht blöd). Do you have something similar in England/Poland?

Yes, "Mediamarkt - nie dla idiotow" (not for idiots).

Yes I do. :) Galeria Biała is just an ordinary mall. But Galeria Alfa is really cool, skilled architects. Even Pałac Branickich has got a face lift.

Branicki Palace

But now we are waiting for the spring here in Białystok.

News / "Poles want cut on foreign workers" - (in Poland obviously) [47]

A basic principle of the EU-law is that all people in EU should be able to work in all EU-countries by the same principles. And that's fair, people can move as they want.

A country within the EU are not allowed to make those kind of actions if they affect other member of the EU. Poland would be sued in the EU-court immediately.

But they can control/stop workers from outside EU from coming to Poland.

News / "Poles want cut on foreign workers" - (in Poland obviously) [47]

Do you think your "average" pole wants to feel like a foreigner in his own country?

1,23% of people living in Poland are not Poles (source: Narodowy Spis Powszechny 2002). This means that over 97% of people living in Poland are Poles. This census is a few years old. But still today Poland is one of the most homogeneous countries in Europe. So you don't have to worry. There are about 38 million Poles living in Poland, you would need an enormous amount of people to change the % even just a tiny bit.

Language / Present tense, past tense, past participle in polish [34]

Unfortunately the grammatical system concerning verbs is much more complicated in Polish than in English.

Here is a link to an overview of Polish verbs from a grammatical point of view:

Life / Polish stereotypes of other nationalities!? [472]

Be macho, it allways helps :P (And not shy)

I can agree on not being too shy. Most Scandinavian girls are liberal (from a Polish point of view; very liberal), and more straight forward when it comes to these kind of things than Polish ones.

But being "over-macho" is the stupidest thing you can do, if you don't want to be considered as the local clown.

Ironic sense of humor is very popular in Scandinavia. It's a good tool you can use. But I have noticed that it's pretty difficult to use for people who are not used to it, so be careful and put it in a nice way.

But Swedes know that their country is guilty of the crime of Ikea.

They have everything you want, good quality and pretty nice prices. :) The only negative thing is that it's almost impossible to put the thing you bought together with the attached instructions. Let's just say you have to be creative.

Love / Are 98% of young Polish girls emotionally unstable and mood changing? [191]

I clearly do not quite understand what the polish girls have to gain by being completely emotionally instable and changing their mood from extreme love to indifference

I would say that, in general, it seems like many Polish girls want to take it "more slowly" when it comes to these things. But it's difficult to say anything specific about what you wrote.

Life / Polish stereotypes of other nationalities!? [472]

so what are the stereotype about american guys? I'm curious now.

It's more difficult to make stereotypes when it comes to such a big country like USA with so many different cultures, ways of living etc.

Love / Top 5 Cities with most beautiful/ugly girls in whole Poland [65]

melodic

Just come to Sweden or Norway if you want a new definition of melodic.

I have to admit that polish girls have a sense of fashion and can make themselves look beautiful

This is true. Many of them know how to dress, do make-up etc., and still look natural.

Food / What's your favorite Polish beer? [870]

Zywiec is basically Heineken these days

Zywiec tastes better than Heineken. In my opinion it's the best.

There are many good ones. One of the few I've tasted that I don't like is Tyskie (even though many people likes it).

They're also into perverted things that make you wanna wash them before you do it, as of rule swedish women have 20 orifices, and thats their ass only.

You been there, done that, or how do you know?

It's true that Swedes have a more liberal attitude toward sex than Poles. But what you are saying says more about you than about Swedish girls.

colder than polish girls, not so emotional.

I don't think this is completely true about the young generation in Sweden. But it's an old reputation that we will hear for a very long time. I think we are about the same as Poles. But of course, both Swedes and Poles are "colder" and less emotional than for example people from Spain, Italy etc.

Hehe, some secrets should remain secrets. I grew up in Sweden and have so far lived about 23 years there (still do from time to time). Let's just say that's enough to know what I'm talking about. :)

Did i criticize swedish girls? They're a single best lay i ever.

Yes, and I said that everyone probably was happy about that. I wasn't sarcastic or ironic.

Language / English borrowings in Polish [38]

The Poles never had much pride in their language or culture.

Are you joking?

Love / Are Polish Women cold and aloof? [249]

we are not cold we are just afraid and keep a distance for a long time.

I think this is the closest to the truth we can come in this thread. In all countries there are all kinds of personalities. But I think that the sentence above is pretty common when it comes to Polish girls.

Life / What is the reason for POLISH jokes ? [486]

In Sweden we have the same kind of jokes about Norwegians, and in Norway they tell the same jokes, but about Swedes. And still we like each other very much. :) I think this occurs worldwide. And we don't take them seriously, and I guess their are not taken too seriously in other parts of the world as well.
