Yes the Nazis and did develope the "Polish jokes" since it was in two of Hitler's speeches after he invaded Poland. The Nazis felt Poles had subhuman intelligence and then they killed the educated class of Poland first to make their anti-Polish propaganda a "reality".

And the Commie Soviets did use Nazi propaganda against the Polish when it suited them. During the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact Soviet Communists were the biggest collaborators with the Nazis UNTIL the Nazis invaded the Soviet Union. Communist sympathizers in Hollywood after WWII pushed subhuman intellligence "jokes" about Poles so that the American people would not have sympathy for the suffering Poles went through at the hands of the Soviet Communists.

With all due respect, wouldn't that reply just be a racist anti-Polish remark?

If a language is complicated it should mean that the people who speak it are intelligent so of course only an anti-Polish Bigot would say the Polish language is "stupidly" complicated.

"Stupidly complicated" is usually an oxymoron and sounds just like someone who is just reaching to say something racist against Poles. If the Polish language is "stupidly complicated" then so are all of the other Slavic languages Russian, Ukraine, etc since they are all of Slavic origin and similar to Polish.

But then again the origin of the Polish "jokes" came from German Nazi propaganda since the Nazi Germans felt the Poles had inferior/subhuman intelligence since they were Slavic and anti-Nazi German.

But there are different kinds of Polish jokes.

The early Polish jokes in the US were along the lines of anti-immigrant jokes that all groups got. The subhuman intelligence jokes about Poles were always popular in Germany (at least the stereotype that Poles have inferior/subhuman intelligence) and was later pushed in Nazi propaganda.

When I was referring to people having German names not necessarily being German, I was referring to Copernicus' "German" uncle which Germans keep referring to as proof Copernicus is part German. Every day I read American newspapers and I'm always reading about certain ethnic groups day after day week after week complaining about what they feel is prejudice and ethnic slurs against them.
