It depends what you might call the "real" image. If you say that people don't get any vision of Poland at all then the site might as well close down. There are many threads regarding Real Life in Poland whether it's about Real Estate questions or driving in Poland there are hints of Real Poland all over the site. There are many threads (and posts) here which give a good round view of daily life in Poland.

Interestingly, noimmigration never said they were Polish. He and the article say Eastern European, never mentioning Polish.
Where's the PROOF that they are Polish?

Not really but perhaps what they are eating is not too healthy for them. Some of them anyway, I know plenty of people who eat healthily.

I'm sorry for your banking experience. It's not any better elsewhere in the world, believe me.
In the UK I got a bank account with Lloyds some years ago. They took over TSB so it became Lloyds TSB. I can cope with that. The Halifax and Bank of Scotland merged to become HBOS a few years ago, fine. Now Lloyds TSB takes over HBOS and in Scotland (where I am now) the bank will become known Bank of Scotland. So now I will be Bank of Scotland customer. But hang on, I am a Lloyds customer, I never was a Bank of Scotland customer before so how am I suddenly now? I already contacted another bank about moving my account.
Advice: Take everything out your bank and put it under your floorboards.

That's the thing that crossed my mind. I think they feel safe enough going out. If it is the money issue he may feel embarrassed talking to you about it. Certainly my friends and I are meeting in houses more and maybe on the pub once a month or less.
