Genealogy / Searching for Helen Lygas / Rucinski & Szymanski [8]

In the endless search to learn more about my family history, I have obtained more information and am curious to know if anyone knows anything about a Helen Lygas. Helen was my great grandmother's, Mary Rucinski (Szymanski), stepsister. I have just found out about her from my grandfather and have yet to obtain her birth or death date or anything other informaiton. If anyone can possibly help me I would be very, very grateful!! Genealogy / Meaning of "Janek" [26]

I am curious to found out the American meaning of the Polish name Janek. I know that Jan means John because my great-grandfathers name was Jan Rucinski but I recently had a letter translated from Polish to English and it mentioned a Janek and sister in law ans I am wondering if that is another version of the name Jan. If anyone could help me out that would be greatly appreaciated. Thank You!!
