Love / Polish women- submissive or dominant? [58]

Well, talking about back door entry in his meaning is rather personal. The Poles tend not to discuss sexual issues that much but Balkan folk more so.

He enjoys his sexual references, that's for sure. Isn't it ironic that showing sb the back door means you want them to leave? ;)

What does it mean, many Polki? How many is many? Those that frequent special clubs maybe but not your average run-of-the-mill girl, that's for sure.

So it would appear :) :) When it comes to making decisions, there is a noticeable schism. Some, like my wife, are very decisive and make things happen. Others are floaters that drift with the breeze. So, there is variation just like most other nations. I very rarely saw a show of assertiveness in Japan but a select few had the harder Western temperament.

The mind boggles ;) ;) It was Jim Morrison who once sang, 'I'm a Backdoor Man' :) There is a submissive aspect to that, yes.

Wouldn't you like to know? ;) ;) Big enough to defend my territory :) Then again, it is the lioness that is the hunter and not the lion. He just tidies up the loose ends.

Love / THE POLISH DISEASE, wanna marry a Polish girl ? read on... [197]

I think Polish guys have to put the foot down when it comes to money. From what I've heard, many Polish girls will have the shirt off your back and then drain you some more. A major caveat, keep the standards low. Why? For those that had to live through communism, they were used to having little. Open their minds too much to what money can buy and they are off and running. Outline the inherent value of saving money and setting it aside for a rainy day. Teach them the value of contingency planning. Otherwise, they will just swipe away with the bare minimum of gratitude. As my mum said, "you have to be cruel to be kind". Wise words those!

She tries but she knows who her daddy is ;) ;) Without those lovely coloured notes (bits of paper), where would she be? ;) ;) They introduce an element of submissiveness, quite like magic :)

It's a realistic one :) They appear to be more domesticated here in Silesia/ I'm glad that my wife can ably defend her corner and take no nonsense.

Some are submissive and some are dominant. Silesian women try to dominate more in general. There is a submissive aspect in quite a few women here but the demands of life mean that they can't be overly so.

News / Poland has low murder rate [60]

The Poles enjoy discussing their society and few go haywire. Some get boozy and attack others but it rarely goes beyond that. Provocation between partners is not uncommon but it seems to be sth which is positive for them in getting things out in the open. They understand why they do it and I've had to come to terms with that too.

Murdering is not really part of the Slavic way when it comes to standard motives which drive most serial killers. Look at the size of Russia, for example, and see how few serials killers they have had in relation to a small island like Britain. It maybe is testament to how Slavs make do with their lot, without the meddling of their leaders, and that they can enjoy modest lives without overt displays of materialism.

Poland also has a small mafia compared to other major players. That could play a small part too. Many Poles are too apathetic to even bother about thinking of murdering. For all their arguing, they are placid souls that can let things slide within reason.

Love / POLISH GIRL I REALLY LIKE, BUT she says we have no future [54]

I think she was just putting her cards on the table from the outset, thus protecting herself against a possible future hurt. There are plenty more fish in the sea but free up some time, they take a lot of work ;)

Life / Why Poland is "surprised" by winter and snow every year? [192]

Very true! Natural wear and tear happens when stored incorrectly.

The way some people screech their tyres here, I wonder how long they last. I live near a corner where I hear it everyday. Simple solution, read the road and brake earlier.
