UK, Ireland / Polish immigration in UK [491]

Germany.

Nope...when the Brits want Turkey in so much they should come up with all the costs and open up for their immigrants!
We Germans want nothing to do with that..so!

News / Poland and Kresy being reunited? [162]

BB if you gotta complain to anyone it's Churchill ;) (That damn bugger)

Yeah....I'm compiling a hell of a letter....just now...that will show him! HA!

In exchange Poland should designate what borders Britain should have !

I think that will be difficult...on an island I mean...

Well, Germans are Turkish or other Asian tribes and only pretend to be European.

You are a much bigger pretender, so!
You still lived in huts last year....

Nonsense - Polish large scale post ww2 emigration to Germany was to the West only (the old Bundesrepublik).

Nah...they germanifi...germanifo...germanized to quickly. They didn't compell people to think about Poland in depth.

Even now the "new" Germany is not very interesting because of its high unemployment.

Germany (and France I believe) had a deal with Poland for their accession into the EU, till 2014 restricted immigration on polish laborours (that's why they all got to GB) and restricted ability to buy large swathes of land for Germans in Poland.

It is clear that you don`t like somebody who makes you unhappy.

Na ja...if you read the article again you would see that the worst stats where from those in the West who never met a Pole in their life.

Who also don't think very much about Poles and domination, Poles and superiority, Poles and culture, Poles and Hitler, Poles and Breslau...Poles and Poland generally!

*shrug*

Poland is not really much on the german radar. Don't think to much into it...;)

PS: Germany on the other hand is very popular with its neighbours....seems we make them happy!

News / POLAND LEAVING WHAT COUNTRY FOR A BETTER LIFE?? [73]

Well, if someone allowed me to work a simple job in my own country, then maybe I could actually buy a ticket to try my luck elsewhere.

;)

We are just to spoiled! ;)

Our ancestors made it by foot or in the stinking, over crowded storage room deep in some rowing cob...but nooo YOU want a "ticket", probably with some catering on top... :):):)

How so?

The "rich men" don't need all the simplifications concerning work, living, traveling, study etc.
The "rich men" neither need the billions of EU support in infrastructure and what not...
The "rich men" could have stayed very well between each other without inviting the poorer neighbours and investing alot of their riches.
The "rich men" could very well do without bailing out the failing members...
The "rich men" don't need polish guest workers as much the polish workers need the better possibilities for work and to earn money....

News / POLAND LEAVING WHAT COUNTRY FOR A BETTER LIFE?? [73]

It's not something to cheer about,

including the ones who promoted this wonderful idea.

Nothing new and nothing to promote for millennia already...people always wandered towards work and a better life.
(That's why we left Africa in the first place!) ;)
It was much easier in a Europe without borders for centuries and it get's that way again.

How do you think the mighty USofA got populated (with non-natives that is)???

All peoples did this and will continue to do so...

News / POLAND LEAVING WHAT COUNTRY FOR A BETTER LIFE?? [73]

I've seen images of Moscow yesterday in german TV...oxygen in the air is down at 20 percent, full of smoke, temperatures over 35 degrees now for weeks, the turf around the city us burning till to 2 miles deep, not enough water to arc since the other near towns and villages already suffer a water shortage...

Poles are often thought to be the ones leaving Poland in record numbers for countries like the UK and Ireland.

Nah...they are coming for Germany much longer! :)
Polonia in Germany is said to be the biggest in Europe and second only to the US...

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polonia#Germany

Poles leaving for other shores is an old stories...Germans did/do so as well...

i hope...?

You know Wolfie, you can always come back to PF...:)

News / Poland - the least liked German neighbour. [210]

After Germanic tribes were pushed westward by oncoming Slavic nations, including old Polish ones, Germans repeatedly tried to go back to these lost territories, verging on obsession.

Genau! *nods*

At least someone who admits that the whole german "Drang nach Osten" was nothing bad bad propaganda by the Slavs against innocent Germans to justify their "Drang nach Westen!"

It's the Slavs who were the agressors the whole time, shoving poor Germans this way and that!!!

WE are the victims here, jawoll! And we WILL get our revenge! *waves fist*

Life / What is the reason for POLISH jokes ? [486]

Well....just saying that the polishy cavallery against tank myth was cabled home by an american journo and not so much a Göbbles spin.

And if it was all about Nazi propaganda it doesn't explain the existence of polish jokes BEFORE and AFTER the war.

The Nazis were bad but not THAT bad....;)

I've read the famous William Shirer wrote the first time to a wider audience about it as he was in Poland writing about the german invasion..

I really don't think he tried to mock the Poles (as he had big sympathies for them)...he couldn't stand the Germans (wonder why), so it was surely rather admiringly meant!

funtrivia.com/en/subtopics/The-Pomorska-Brigade---The-Real-Story-193472.html

Shirer was taken to the battlefield on Sept. 3rd, and shown the bodies and horses still strewn about the area. The Germans had already taken their dead away, so it appeared that only Poles had been killed. Shirer reported the story, incorrectly, and help spread the myth of horsemen charging tanks.

historynet.com/polish-cavalry-charges-tanks.htm

...
This "skirmish at Krojanty," described in sensationalist terms by journalists like William Shirer, is almost certainly the source material for the fanciful tale of Polish cavalry charging tanks.

History / Any Polish real war videos? [4]

but i still love germany and i want some good videos of tough polish soldiers kicking ass to shut him up

For that videogames are great...great graphics (better than your grainy b/w bad quality youtube footage) and you can choose sides and then kick each others ass and even change history.

(Of course only those war games where chosing the Germans is an option)

:)

News / Poland and Kresy being reunited? [162]

Well it is well known fact that Stalin promised Poland that it would get Lwow, East Prussia and free elections but in the end Poland got none of that.

Stalin lied??? Noooooooooo........

(I really wonder how far a foreign policy would come if it's build on "Stalin's promises")

History / Warsaw Uprising - The Forgotten Soldiers [117]

When the other tries to paint themself as some lily white, innocent, goody-two-shoes it just needs some reminder...

When one starts negotiations with automatic concessions, (then) they are not really negotiations.

Read the links....Hitler was astounishing flexible...he would had gone quite far if there
had been negotiations in the first place.

It must have been tiring goose-stepping like that.

I've read it was hell on the heels...
