History / Memos show US hushed up Soviet crime against Poland [97]

It's amazing how many of them crawl out of the woodwork - and always seek to somehow justify the behaviour of the Nazis by referring to the USSR.

well, I don't think that Ironside is justifying Hitler by referring to Stalin. I hope, we all agree that both were scumbags and the only difference between them is the number of deaths they're responsible for.

History / Was Prussia mostly German? [65]

Not to mention rest of my post.:)
Are you a uni graduate?

Look Ironside, you accept this - "The first written record thought to refer to Gdansk (Danzig) is the vita of Saint Adalbert. Written in 999, it describes how in 997 Saint Adalbert of Prague baptized the inhabitants of urbs Gyddannyzc, "which separated the great realm of the duke [i.e. Boleslaw the Brave of Poland] from the sea"

but you don't accept that - " Other old historical documents already dated 78 b.c. from Plinius (lexicographer at that time) mention human settlements from Germans along the Vistula River - Wisla (Weichsel) near Gdansk. Plinus encyclopedia in 37 volumes prove this area along the Vistula river (Wisla)to be part of the former German empire (Magnia Germania)."

What makes your post more credible than mine? I'll tell you what it is, one confirms what you've learned at school and what you want to believe and the other does not.

maybe I should ask you the same question as you asked me, huh? ;-)

History / Was Prussia mostly German? [65]

Did you read my post ?

yes, you basically said that we can't trust Plinius because "In the time of Plinius distances were bigger, they also believed that if you go far enough you can encounter one eyed monsters" and that's why I replied the way I did.

In the time of Plinius distances were bigger, they also believed that if you go far enough you can encounter one eyed monsters,

the only problem with is that if we dismiss Plinius, we have to also dismiss Socrates, Plato etc. etc. I'm not telling you what to believe, all I'm saying is that there are documents providing different information from what you know and accept,. that's all.

anyway Goths were migrating everywhere, we cannot say hey it was Got-land because few squatters took a crap there

but what we can say is that they were there first.

Other old historical documents already dated 78 b.c. from Plinius (lexicographer at that time) mention human settlements from Germans along the Vistula River - Wisla (Weichsel) near Gdansk. The first written record thought to refer to Gdansk (Danzig) is the vita of Saint Adalbert.

not quite

In 78 A.D. Plinius mentions the River Vistula as a German River, whereas Tacitus cites settlements of Germanic Goth at the mouth of that River Vistula.

Is my answer good enough for you?

Ironside, I like Poles and Poland but we both know, Prussia wasn't originally Polish.

Off-Topic / Are you living in Poland? [77]

Why on earth would anyone live in Poland if they didn't have the country's best interests at heart?

OK DD, this is not quite right, there are many reasons for people to immigrate to another country and you know it.

Law / Zloty vs US Dollar for relatives in Poland? [7]

USD cannot be used here

besides, can you even receive $ or will you automatically receive PLN when someone will send you cash from the US (or any other country for that matter)?

Love / Observations and experiences so far about Polish women [93]

Positives: Faithful, incredibly beautiful, guaranteed long term relationship, don't care about money, don't care about looks, strong morals and values

your description couldmatch any women out there and isn't typical for women of any particular nationality at all.

History / Polish relation about Russians, Ukrainians? [281]

Stalin didn't control anyone other than the Russians,

you're full of it, man. You already proved, you don't have any idea about economy and you're proving, you don't know history too.

USA, Canada / Emigrate from the USA - the sequence of events [207]

When your currency becomes overvalued you lose jobs. Google, "the deficit is good".

in trillions of dollars? LOL don't answer please, it's a freaking nonsense what you're saying anyway.

Get it?

listen man, this is the second time, you ask me if I get it. What makes you freaking believe that you're an expert? You can support Obama as much as you want and it still won't change a thing about it how I (and millions of other people) feel about his wasteful policies.

We both know how we feel about him and to be honest, there's no reason to continue this discussion. Obviously, none of us will give in so we can just as well agree to disagree and call it quits.
