News / Let us save Poland. Suggestions [40]

Too many Poles are caught in a pessimistic rut and the last economic crisis didn't help.

i would suggest let this guiding hand be slavic. any other option is fatal imo. ;)

News / Let us save Poland. Suggestions [40]

I think much of what NATO has done has been bad. In Libya for oil and they raped Yugoslavia to impose privatisation&debt measures.

sadly it will not be the end. colonialism, national interests, egos all that together is a very dangerous mixture. since the leader is giving the tone it is hardly to imagine that some nations within nato will seriously oppose.

maybe they do it here and there but still then, they have to make compromises to 'please the master'. ;)

News / Nigel Farage voice of reason for Poland and EU? [79]

See, only thing is the younger Assad is not a brutal dictator

i was talking in their us/nato/isr behalf ;)

But the US/Israel just don't know when to say 'when' and they keep stirring the pot.

did they ever know?

Of course, the hypocrites in London, Paris & Berlin follow this lead

unfortunately ger is too much connected to the us, what i personally dont like but as political logic they have to i guess...

News / Nigel Farage voice of reason for Poland and EU? [79]

so true. us and its allies will just try to do the same thing like in lybia, just this time not under the lie of a humanitarian action. now they in their propaganda have a direct target. a brutal dictator. that's enough for them to act. since they dont have any kind of opposition they can pretty much do what they want.

strange though that their ministers still give press conferences and try to sell their bs as peace action, help for people, democratic act etc. even though only idiots believe that bs....

truely spoken and they have because of that widest support ever...securing the finance and broker companies. it's a giving and taking situation...

fighting for national referendums to give people a say. Back to Lincoln style politics

i personally would go one step further...to mix lincoln style that with the greek one of a say, of course without the brutality :)

If you call defending democracy one trick, God help you.

i mean basically u r right, but where do u see democracy? ;) for me the actual systems called like that would have to be redefined in another way. maybe that's worth to open a thread? ;)

Farage just doesn’t like funny foreigners, the man is an attention seeking one trick pony.

...what is nothing unusual these days in politics or let's better say show biz ;)

History / Why did communism in Poland fail? [180]

Communism collapsed of it's own weight, because it was a failed construct.

gorbatschow sold it and jelzin finished the job ;)

Beside, the international bankers who created it were moving to a more efficient way to enrich themselves called globalism.

;)

History / Why did communism in Poland fail? [180]

Communism was killed by capitalism?

nope. just a time-out ;)

I am not responsible for communism....or Polish electrical sockets...

supposedly not, but my guess is that the uk electrical supply often offers similar bs like polish one :D

Polish men are their own special breed ...

i personally think that it is not only polish men, but men in general with local differences depending on culture etc. also valid for women, whereas their physical attributes are a different story.

slavic women? hmmm ;)

History / Why does the idea of a "Slavic Union" with Poland seem so popular on this site? [96]

Why does the idea of a "Slavic Union" seem so popular on this site?

...take some people long enough pushed around with some common identity and this is what you get. ;)

actually not a bad thing in contrast to the imperial politics coming from us/nato.;)

eu members should start to look for some alternatives. it might be risky to bet just on one horse. ;)

History / Controversial Chapters: Polish-German history texbook [8]

Too early, Germans still feel Poles are inferior and Poles still find Germans a bunch of Nazis, it'll take another 50 years for such a book to come out.

you name it. with whom germany doesn't have a 'rift'?

nice try, but who knows which generation will actually have a benefit from this.

News / Conservative-liberalism (Laissez-faire liberalism), another utopia for Poland? [99]

The Left truly will rip our country apart just so they can cling to power

sorry dude, but your presidents are since a long time mangers or puppets of the big cooperate companies they get sposored during campaign and need to keep in check after. as you know, the 'after' is always the tougher job. ;)

History / Why did Russia attack Poland in WW2? [178]

How about americans missiles for 200 millions of euro in Poland against who?

good question?

I like the idea about Poland developing friendship with Slavic nations not with the Anglo-Saxon evil bastards.

comes naturally. :)

The AK never attacked the Soviet Union? Really?? ;) ;)

never heard about that either. ;)))

Life / I got beaten and kicks in my face just cuz i dont look polish [205]

I certainly had no idea we make such an impression but some unexplained encounters and grimaces by the Americans maybe explained this way.

that's what happens when you look the original in the eye. ;)

I noticed when I travelled to USA that most Europeans make the impression of being fascists.

i would redefine it in self-confident. ;)

Life / Uptight Poles [262]

Germans tend not to be like that

then i advise you to visit frankfurt, hamburg, munich or berlin in rush hour. you'll see freakin' borg losing the temper-chip.

poles never made that impression to me. maybe it has to do sth with the changes in society in the last couple of years? ;)

Life / Uptight Poles [262]

Scots because we are stereotyped as stingy ;)

Not only you. Germans too ;)

Well, culture plays its part. I also believe that avoiding harm to others is important. However, that has to be balanced with tolerance and conferred rights. There are always solutions and compromises need to be made.

I really don't get all this discussion about Poles being uptight. That contradictory in itself. They are slavic people who are very rare in that 'state'. ;)

Life / What do you generally think about Poles? [62]

The people of Poland are the greatest

I agree, they are really very nice and the nicest experience I had there was in the areao around Danzig and Krakau and Breslau. I hope it's just a coincidence... ;)

News / Visegrad Battle Group under the command of Poland [261]

Serbia is EU`s protectorate and under NATO occupation.

Not only Serbia. Quite a lot of the planet is. In Europe lots of countries, especially those 'small' ones who just joined the 'table'.:)

Shouldn't you be outside then...doing some guerilla fighting or so??? When you can't be arsed to become active in the resistance why do you expect it from Poles, Russians or other Slavs?

Classic bs comment. No content.

A wise question. The answer is simple - because most people here are happy with that - few feel otherwise.

Brainwsh accomplished then, he? Nice.

News / Visegrad Battle Group under the command of Poland [261]

Maybe so but if somehing goes wrong they will blame the leader.

No risk, no fun. ;)

Why not let Germany lead it so we can blame Germany for every mistake "they" make.

This Visegrad group is an alternative to Deutschland and nato. No reason to put them in.

Depends.

Nope.
O is checking on that friday. :)

A sandwitch position can be nice if you can play the game and not get played by it.

Through history that sandwich was a minus but i really hope that the Visegrad group can change that.

Staying neutral

Hardly possible between Russia and Germany. ;)

just sucking that dollar baby dry

The vampirization is going the other way around...

With power comes great responsibility.
No thanks.

Why? It is also an opportunity.

Oh, my mistake than. There is also some new user TheHessian who presumably can be German.
