Law / The Euro, is it a good idea for Poland? [66]

it's better to have freedom to set interest rates according to Polish priorities

+1

Quite a lot of Polish businesses got burnt badly with the crash in the value of the PLN in recent times. I know one German investor who lost around 200k EUR in one year because of this.

The key is Polish businesses. Euro is good for importers and foreign investors not for Polish economy.

It's an easy acid-test for me, if the PiS is against something, I'm for it. And vice-versa

Are you stupid or something?

News / Poland A and Ukraine B. Compare how far Poland has advanced. [282]

o why is it a sucha big difference between these two countries? Both have been "free" since the ealy 90's.

That difference is nothing new, it existed before 1989 as well. I wouldn't say that Poland advanced much, advanced some. Why?
Having more potential, being a separated country after all to a degree.
Poles can achieve much if not for oppressive governments and even then.

Life / Men in Poland in the forest? Just men? [133]

WRONG REGION! :(

They are not Polish Tatars, who were given land in exchange for being soldiers in the Polish Army, warriors who were given privilege to regain their own faith - Muslims.

Those are Poles of Tatar's or Turkish/Asian origin - slaves settled to work the land. They regained some distinctive features and customs for centuries.

People in the West of Poland may be embarrassed by these people?

Why? Should all people become a gray uniformed drones? Good they have their way perpetuated for generations.

UK, Ireland / Benefit cuts for Poles in The UK? [143]

. The benefits system over there is however something that people fought for - it shouldn't be abused by anyone.

What are you talking about? So far amount of rubbish spread about Poles allegedly abusing benefits in the UK could choke a scrap-fill of a huge metropolis.

Mostly they such poster are talking out of their asses without shred of evidence. Am I to understand that you are joying them?
All statistical evidence point out that contrary to all those claims by those ass-lipped twits Poles generally do not abuse any befits to which they are legally entitled to. Quite the contrary the ratio they use benefit is on a less - which in translation for the weak minded and undereducated scrapers here means that many Poles even if entitled to benefits do not use them.

What those cravens are reluctant to say even on the Internet is that not any abuse of benefits by foreigners pain them but the very fact that foreigners are legally entitled to benefits.

So they are ranting and ranting about alleged abuse.
What more I suspect there one or two people resurrecting those thread every two three months on PF. Why mods do not dump all those threads into heap titles - British rants about Poles- is hard to fathom

I'm on this forum about five years and that constant never changes.

As for the thread topic fine words butter no parsnip .
It is not possible for one country to unilaterally change one of the fundamental EU laws.

UK, Ireland / Benefit cuts for Poles in The UK? [143]

The NHS is still the envy of the world - probably half my social circle here in PL are doctors - they say the same. We all, whether BNP voters, Tory voters, LibDems, Labour or Respect or Communist, all of us have something to be proud of!

so what country is your jon?

What a warm feeling the British people must have knowing their NHS is such a world-wide service :-|

It was just a hyperbole, funny though that such a little exaggeration can shake out some crawling thing from its hiding place.

UK, Ireland / Benefit cuts for Poles in The UK? [143]

When I was growing up, my parents had been paying in for years as had their parents.

You clearly don't understand how that system works.
It isn't based on individual contributions to health services.
It is based on a correct assumption that more people would pay in than use it. Also paid in money are used in the same years they have been paid but if I know something about politician even in advance.

The problem start when a number of people using health services(x) increase over a number of people paying in (y)upsetting the balance(B). {Unbalance -U}

like x/y = B when 2x/y= U

Now because people are living longer and they are having less children such system is due to go busted sooner or later. Short term solution is to bring in immigrants.

Funny though that they are blamed for shortages.

Anyway democracy is doomed as people seems to have no slightest idea how things works.

UK, Ireland / Benefit cuts for Poles in The UK? [143]

If I had not paid taxes and zus in Poland I would have no entitlement to the Polish health system.

No you are wrong here. There are certain agreements between the UK and Poland which predate Poland accuse to the EU and regulate reciprocal access to the state heath services.

however those may have changed since Polish access to the EU.

Why should EU immigrants be allowed to use the NHS even before they have contributed to the UK i

Beats me! When in come to benefits (if I'm not mistaken)Cameron's government changed amount of time need for the EU citizens to quality for certain benefits in the UK from a two years of contribution to the NHS to two months.

Somebody looks really stupid here. Wait politicians again!

land ownership rights

land ownership can and should be exuded.

Bang on. British businesses and their stakeholders put a lot into PL as does the British taxpayer through EU subsidies.

All well and good Zeti and how much do the British workers and companies contribute to the Polish Economy?

I see a pattern here the Messiah complex seems to be emerging. The force is very strong in British expats lol.
By the way Cameron and pumping monies into banks any update on that>?

Real Estate / Poland Real Estate 2013 -drops in offer prices, lack of liquidity indicate market crashing [39]

Real estates' prices were highest in 2006/2007. Since then prices are getting lower and lower.
So those who brought real estate about that time or earlier but missed the peek in prices are now stuck.
Market is not crashing but all ingredients for prices to rise are now out of the picture.
The present are reflecting the reality of Polish economy and is rather unlikely that prices will increase much or drop much more in the next five to ten years.

So those hoping for some drastic changes either way are going to be deeply disappointed. So please do not pollute those forums with your ramblings.
