Life / Why are Muslims seen as a deterrent to Poland? [564]

What a ******** question

Yes. Sad that people judge all those ordinary people, some religious, some not, who are Muslim by the most extreme expressions of it. Those loud and gobby people are no more representative of Islam than Westborough Baptist Church or the Lefevrists are representative of Christianity.

Law / Polish/EU Citizenship by Descent [88]

Poland is no country for old men.

I met a semi-retired couple from Michigan who came here. He's of Polish descent, she isn't. They've actually made a go of it, however I suspect they're financially well insulated and very adaptable. Definitely no conservatives either and didn't have a romanticised view of what they might find.

the western Polonia find it difficult in Poland for many reasons

They rarely have it easy here and it's almost never what they expect. People who come under the Karta Polaka generally survive better however they are also seen as outsiders and there is quite a lot of suspicion, some justified, some not, from many people about them.

UK, Ireland / Polish fascist 'priest' detained at U.K. airport [43]

Islamic

An irelevance. The outspoken racist Międlar has been excluded from the uk and that is positive. Interesting that Bieggers only response is to accuse someone of an extremely sexual serious crime (without any justification outside his own toxic imagination) and make some very false assumptions about personal appearance, financial status etc. It would be amusing if it wasn't so tasteless.

That entire post is a lame attempt at distracting from this great news about the racist Międlar.

The issue about the very sensible exclusion of the racist Międlar is nothing to do with Muslim countries - the previous two posts (from individuals with form here) are just trying to distract.

Great that Britain's border controls work to keep out people who go to address neo-nazi rallies.

Remember, Międlar referred to Jewish people as 'cancer'. Doubtless some of the usual suspects here share that obnoxious viewpoint.

Its normal to not bring *******, via your shoes, into your home. Doesn't mean your home is spotless, but don't make it worse, eh?

Spot on. If someone tries to enter a country with bad intent, the government of that country can exclude them - as the Americans are doing now.

Interesting how the Putinist media, having finally been called out for their outrageous lies, have counteracted with the 'Fake News' meme.

This is slowly but surely rebounding on them.

very good

What's good about someone who said "Jews are cancer" and addresses neo-nazi rallies?

Excellent news that the police have done their job and kept him out.

low quality right wing rag.

Plenty of those. At least the Sidebar of Shame is fun!

A lot of coverage here in Poland of the fascist Międlar being refused entry to Britain, in fact the rolling news coverage is reporting it every few minutes and the general conclusion is that it was the right thing to do. Apparently Essex Police made the decision on public order grounds.

Fortunately fascism always loses in the end, however the amount of hatred against Polish migrants from ultra conservatives is saddening and bizarre that this so-called priest, currently suspended for race-hate is adding to it.

At least we're in charge of our own borders and can keep such lowlife out.

Only 30 turned up, a laughable display if there ever was one.

Pure comedy, wasn't it. At their big Liverpool demo only 17 showed up.

At least border control stopped the fascist entering - shows Britain is in control of its borders.

a very Catholic state.

And fortunately the Catholic Church hadsuspended him from all pastoral and sacramental duties due to his outspoken racist activities, specifically addressing neo-nazi rallies.

Jacek Międlar the racist clergyman (currently suspended from all pastoral and sacramental duties by his diocese) was threatening to address a neo-nazi rally in Telford. Fortunately today, since the article below was published, his pond-life supporters from Britain First are now whinging that he's been refused entry. For those unfamiliar with this guy, he recently described Jews as 'cancer'.

Personally I was hoping he'd be allowed in then arrested for hate speech.

The level of hatred is quite exceptional. He really stands out as a fanatical hate preacher

Edit: Jayda 'Clunge' Fransen has just confirmed it:

Jayda Fransen, 30, deputy leader of Britain First, told IBTimes UK he had been detained as his flight landed in London on Saturday morning.

News / Should Poland's taxpayer money be used to finance illegal theatre productions? [53]

Indeed it is, Roz, and very funny too. Gruesome though to the point of crossing a certain line and I've never heard any criticism of Simpsons episodes with it in. South Park is popular here too.

As for the theatre production in question, it's just a non-issue. The arts often use strong imagery to provoke, and there's a certain type of person who loves to complain about theatre productions, art exhibitions etc, usually without ever having seen the thing that they're so offended about.

News / Poland's political crisis deepens [228]

Yep, although it was a nice Christmas gesture by The Dear Leader Chairman Kaczynski to allow his minions to share his stage.

And there was he, only a week or so before, saying he was just an ordinary back bench MP...
