the difference between England and Wales in terms of courtesy in road use is startling, if I drive down to England it's obvious.
I can spot a Pole on the road from 100 metres, he (and it IS always he) is the one doing that crazy thing where you swerve out to the middle of the road to check for oncoming traffic, then overtake just ONE car, just before a blind corner...:)
Britain is no stranger to road rage and spontaneous outbursts. Poles sometimes do it during the peak hour but I'd say it's more visible in Britain.

85% of the English have 0 knowledge about politics of their own country, don't expect them to understand the international politics. They are being fvcked over by their own government but they're too ignorant to realize that - this is what makes them ideal subjects (not citizens).

just the same happened to my kid and he ended up with very good treatment and a bill for 1500 zlots, well I was not there but all I had to do was fax the details of his EHIC card to the hospital and the bill disappeared....so there you go. Ideally get EHIC and private insurance I suppose.
My mum was over in Poland in the summer with the girlfriend and had a bad reactions to mossie bites

So because, say, Italian politicians are more corrupt than British, that makes it OK?
the main difference is the vast differences of scale, you have been ripped off for untold amounts, not only of cash but also your freedom, by politicians (and its a bit more than moat cleaning) banks, utility companies and big business. The thing is it's been sold to you as 'lifestyle'.
Really a few people claiming benefits is the least of Britain's problems, these things are thrown our way by the Daily Mail etc to stir up hatred and distract us from the truth. It's called divide and rule, a very old tactic.

SOUTHERN - now I know why there are literally thousands of Greek students in the UK, most of them at Essex.
Mind you we had a gay prof who used to give higher marks to lovely young boys, but that was years ago when you still had to write your name on the paper. Now it's just a number I think.

Friend of mind got 3000 for marrying a Turk and that was YEARS ago. Nice guy, inoffensive, hard working.......with some very specific and valid reasons for not wishing to return to turkey. And she was quite slim! Which made it all OK!!!
