Feedback / An efficient (accurate?) way to search these forums (or how to google-search this website) [16]

Merged: Is is possible to have the current search engine improved to get a google search engine?

Is is possible to have the current search engine improved to get a google search engine? I know the answer to the google one, it will cost money that you don't have.

Or is there a fast way to search and find the thread that I am looking for that I don't know about?

Thanks

Language / 'lubię, lubisz' - Infinitive [86]

'lubię, lubisz ... + bezokolicznik' (infinitive).

This infinitive, can it be either perfective or imperfective?

For example:

Muszę przygotować się .........................
Muszę przygotowywać się .........................

Are they both correct?

Language / Polish Conditional - if you would.. [24]

Perfective or imperfective after the condtional form?

Chciałbym mówić(imperfective verb) dobrze po polsku.

Chciałbym spróbować(perfective verb).

From this example it looks like you can use both, the same as you could use both imperfective or perfective verbs to describe something in that you will do in the future. Am I right or close enough?

thanks

Are there techniques for remembering specific to language learning?

Any ideas on how to learn perfective and imperfective verbs? I learnt some of them today but I know that in a weeks time I will forget them, even if I learn them again next week I will forget them again, how can I remember them forever?

Language / Perfective vs Imperfective - grammar [150]

I have a similiar problem now with:

jechać, pojechać and jeździć

The perfective/imperfective rules don't really fit verbs of motion - the grammar is different.

This seems to be the case:

Can I be bold and ask how the grammar is different? :-)

Language / Perfective vs Imperfective - grammar [150]

From what I can see iść is sometimes perfective wordreference.com/plen/chodzić and sometimes imperfective depending on what you are trying to say wordreference.com/plen/pójść

Language / Having difficulties to speak in Polish... how to improve my speaking? [19]

I tried this a few times but I found it difficult to have some kind of a structure or plan when talking with the other person, there was no purpose to our conversations.......... I hope that you know what I am talking about.

How did you organise the time/what to learn with the other person?

Language / How do you stress the 2nd last syllable when speaking Polish? [6]

How do you stress the 2nd last sylable when speaking Polish?

Does put stress on a sylable in the Polish language mean saying this sylable louder or making it longer etc.?

For example when saying:

Dziewczyn
pięćdziesiąt
mężczyzn

Thanks.
