News / Polish hero pilot lands 767 without wheels. (Warsaw) [191]

I’m eagerly awaiting the report by the Boeing expert stating that all systems were go, infect it was the idiot pilot that forgot to lower the landing gear. It’s to be expected of Yanks and their expert opinion. LOL

News / The cross in Polish parliament - Does it bother you? [100]

the symbol displayed in the Polish Sejm is not a cross but a crucifix

Quite powerful one too judging by all those comments, it even reaches across the ocean, bothering many Yanks, a real testament of its power despite their belittling it.

Love / Goal: Meet a nice Polish girl! [60]

I’m sure it was unintended but his mick is just wrong on so many levels, besides the obvious sexual connotation to it (speedy), Minuteman in US is a citizens' vigilance operation monitoring immigration. You know; the John Wayne type who arms himself to the teeth and volunteers his time on the border to keep the foreign elements out of his society yet here he is looking to bring some in.

It's because Polish girls tend to be easy. It's an east European thing

Fantasy of many Yanks lurking around forums hoping to get some, any luck yet? In NY everyone is a sex expert, so is Dr.Ruth supposedly. Do tell, when was the last time either you or her got laid? Using your own hand don’t really count. Talk is cheap you know. You need therapy, perhaps you two can get together and finally have that experience.

Both you and Speedy there should take a minute (no pun intended) to think. Boasting is a sign of desperation and your desperation is great indeed, willing to cross the ocean and all, just to get some. LOL

Love / Help me understand the different mannerisms and mentality of men in Przemysl area! [28]

Don't discuss the war

Good advice, common sense really for anyone that spent a day or two on this forum.

Just make it clear you'd prefer the truth however bad!

A little white lie never hurt anyone, we all do it. I don’t think it’s such a good idea as women always tend to blow it out of proportion no matter how trivial it might be. Deep down, you don’t want to hear the truth.

Don't pay for him to go

What makes you think he would even entertain such proposal? I personally would be insulted, not exactly from Przemyśl myself but born and raised in that area.

If your man is okay with you, forget about what the family think. there is no shame in being any nationality be proud of your origins!!!! If your man has problems with your nationality get rid of him!!!!

Oh please, what a load of ……. They just met, neither she nor you know anything about his family or what the reaction might be so why are You so judgmental, watched too many movies about villagers’ with pitch-forks in hand perhaps? Time to shad your childhood nightmares; trust me it was only a movie.

Oh my gosh, lots of angry people.

Lots of history buffs but none seem to get it right; each and every one sees it from their own perspective.

I didn't write what I was thinking at the time, and I have just re-read what I've written.

What exactly are you apologizing for? People taking your single sentence comment out of context, making more out of it then was intended? It reflects badly on them, not you.

People’s comments on an open forum are often misleading, full of anger and stereotypes. The advice they give especially in the affairs of the heart often stem from their own past failed relationships. You know him for two months and you seem to have problem communicating take a step back if need be, give it some time for your relationship to develop and mature then and only then it’s time to meet the family, besides that will give him time to stand on his own two feet if his financial situation is in such dire-straits as you think it is. Whatever you do, stop asking for advice on forums such as this and I guarantee you’ll find happiness.

My father worked very hard all his life and so do all my family, so I don't own england anthing!!

Now there’s a spirit.

History / Why have Poles contributed so little to Academics? (Particularly Science) [180]

Get that through your antisemitic Polish supremacist mind.

Here we go! A Jew once more showing his true colors on this very forum in his usual flamboyant style. Is that all a Mensa candidate of your stature can muster? Two big words thought to him by his Rabbi, used out of context no less? I suppose all one can do is wait till someone of your intellect catches up to the rest of us. What was I thinking? It’s simply too early for any meaningful debate with some representatives of the human race, after all evolution needs to take its sweet time. Don’t despair though, all in due course.

History / Why have Poles contributed so little to Academics? (Particularly Science) [180]

As you can see, 3 of the 4 Nobel Prize science winners from Poland are Jewish despite the fact that Jews were a minority.

Charpak is listed under France as well so is Curie. Hoffman under Poland, Ukraine and USA, Reichstein, Poland and Switzerland but none of them under Israel. I wonder why?

You have a lot to learn, one third of US winners of this prestigious award were foreign born. Twice as many Chinese received this award while working in US compered to China. Szostak is listed under US and UK where he was born btw but officially a Canadian American with a nice Anglo-Saxon surname to go with, he himself is proud of his Polish heritage yet not listed by Poland. Germany has roughly 20% of their Nobel Prize winners foreign born and Japan counts no foreigners at all among its nine Nobel laureates.

Besides, this award has only been awarded since 1901, is it really some kind of a measuring stick to go by? It just so happens that greatest breakthroughs happen where the money for research is readily available and those are the institutions that attract the brightest of the bright no matter where they are originally from. Centers of learning has shifted westward but it wasn’t always the case. There were many great scientists and inventors throughout the ages who never received this awarded, is their contribution in pursuit of human advancement in all sorts of scientific fields any less significant?

I really find your accusation amusing

Except most Poles didn't consider Jews as fellow Polish neighbors for the majority of Polish history.

. Perhaps you don’t realize it but it is you who has this need to distinguish who is who and you’re doing just that in this thread. What’s the matter? Is the ten that are listed under Israel of whom only four are in what I consider Science (as Peace don’t really count in my book) not enough for you? More confidence in yourself and your people old chap.

On a side note; Charpak while working on his multi-wire proportional chamber with his colleagues, for which he got this award was careless and set on a metal chair while working on it, one day a bit too close so it seems. The work he and his colleagues spent months on carefully attaching thousands of thin wires was ruined when his chair was pulled out from under him by strong electro-magnetic field this device generated right into the chamber itself, tearing apart all the wires and ruining the detector in the process. Now there’s a joke hidden there somewhere so help me out here as I’m not quite sure where should I file it under, a Polish joke, a Jewish one, perhaps French? LOL

History / Why have Poles contributed so little to Academics? (Particularly Science) [180]

I see OP is not up on current events he just cast his Trolling net again as usual which is typical for a Jew on this Forum. Just last year an International Eureka Contest was held in Brussels, it showcased more than 20 countries, some 150 participants and more than 400 inventions in diverse areas to present their patented inventions and new ideas. Poland took 107 awards leaving all other participants in the dust so to speak. Funny though, I don’t recall any representatives of Israel there, Not fu**** One.

EDIT To OP: For all the interest you show in innovations you keep reading wrong material, Daily Mail will never get you up to speed.

News / British man prosecuted for raping teenage girls in Kraków [47]

Think what you like I still rather not come to that, not for the sake of that sick bastard or my own but that of my daughters’.

Your blind faith in some miraculous list, government checks, street camera on every corner is a testament for your need of a protector to govern every aspect of your life and suspicion of everything and everyone around you instead of standing up to what’s right, doing what needs to be done and having little faith in yourself. Who's more reliable and trustworthy to protect yourself or your family then yourself? I find it rather amusing, ridicules and kind of ironic, all this rubbish by someone who thinks of himself as free, cherishing that freedom as sacred yet willing to give it all up at first hint of trouble for a promise no less which is neither certain nor logical to fallow, blindly trusting and obeying third party, as if. If you truly believe that rubbish who am I to argue, I’m not trying to convince you of anything but don’t push it down my throat you’ll never convince me.

News / British man prosecuted for raping teenage girls in Kraków [47]

you are suggesting an honour system where paedos sort of agree not to rape kids and are then punished severely
would you put a fox in charge of the chickens?

LOL you still don't get it.

That's exactly what I think of your list, pedos name on it perhaps but free to roam among our children sort of an honor system don't you think? Ask yourself this question. Why did the system let him go in the first place? Simply having him on some kind of list is supposed to protect the children? Boasting about the statistics of how many sick f**s they managed to stop from obtaining a job come election time if need be instead of protecting the public by keeping him locked up in the first place. They let him loose on society at large and near your daughter yet you think his name on the will keep him away from her. This list means jack s***. Is it sufficient to keep him in check? Not doing it again? It’s a ******* joke. The government dose what it does for the votes from the naive people like you making you think that having a list or a camera on the street will protect you while they spy on you with your consent. So you think a list will protect you instead of asking yourself why is it that a perv like that who’s been caught and convicted of this heinous crime is allowed to be walking free again? Is it a guarantee though that he will not obtain that job or that he won’t find a way of doing it somewhere else. Your almighty list is truly fuc**** miraculous. Perhaps you're one of those that believes he is reformed now by spending X amount of time in prison and in control of his di**, yet the fact you keep such a list suggests otherwise, like that’s going to stop him from doing it again. Take that list of yours and shove it. Do you honestly think government protects you by letting him roam free? If he was in prison or dead there simply wouldn’t be a need for a list, and if that was my daughter, list or no list justice would have been served one way or another. I would blissfully spend the rest of my life in prison but satisfied that the sick bastard won’t do it again and his presence no more.

if you want to work with children you need a background check

If you want to work with children you need to control your urges, if they are in control of you Gallows I say. Too bad the activist like you also talks of prisoner rights, benefit of doubt etc. What’s the matter? Can’t trust yourself in those situations therefore suspecting every one of the same? Once a despicable crime like that is committed there should be no leniency, lock him up and throw away the key, let him be someone’s bi*ch for the rest of his sorry life, let him hang in public square, that’s a real deterrent, something this sick **** can relate to. **** like that should not be tolerated period.

if you come from Pakistan but worked for a year in Spain for example, you will need three checks before working with children and vulnerable adults in Ireland
a Pakistani, a Spanish and an Irish police check

You don’t say. Now you have no such problems. No deviants at all among you. I suppose that not one but three checks solved your problem and did the trick.

if you are not prepared to have these checks, you should not be able to work with children

Au contraire, if you’re that sick you should not work with children and punishment without mercy that fits the crime a deterrent. There’s always that first time that your check will never prevent, how about the time that that sick bastard got away with, is that showing up on your background check?. This encouraged his behavior and emboldened him simply because he got away with it. A high ranking member of a society simply manipulated the system a rich battered paid off before the case had a chance to see the daylight. Assuming a new Identity also not a big deal these days neither is moving a **** like that out of site and whole thing hushed up because it’s too embarrassing for someone else. Where’s that full prove background check of yours now. Punishment that fits the crime the only way to curb such incidents as nothing ever will prevent it, sad but true, too many sick ****s out there, time to cut down on their numbers. That background check of yours prof of one thing, a perv was caught convicted and let go, Why?

Poland needs to wake up and demand background checks as known paedophiles will often ply their trade in other countries

Are you seriously suggesting for us to impose a government where everyone is considered to be a threat and under suspicion? No thanks it was tried in not so distant past. If you believe that the government is going to stop at that you’re fooling yourself, this only leads to obtuse of this privilege as government sees it as an opportunity to protect itself from imagined domestic enemies and simply spies on everyone for no reason. Did all those cameras installed in Britain ever prevented any crime? LOL You seriously need to wake up and smell the coffee before it’s too late for you

... and the OP doesn't waste time in highlighting the case in the first place, making sure they point out:

This wouldn’t be PF otherwise now would it? Brits starting topics on Poles in Britain, Poles doing the same about the Brits in Poland, a little teasing and bickering is good for the soul giving us a chance to wash our dirty laundry in the process. Unless you happen to think your undergarments are not stained.

Which is why the president of Poland got his lawyers involved in helping Hollywood's most famous paedophile.

Give it a rest will you. To stay on topic, once a perv always a perv and in this case this Brit simply came here in search of greener pastures, I say a castration is in order before some public medieval form of execution is performed, once convicted of course ;) serving as a deterrent for the rest of deviants out there.

The problem is the law and corruption within, some poor soul who stole in order to eat gets the full punishment under the law for his crime while some big fat banker, politician or what have you that embezzled millions just a slap on the wrist and a promotion if not acquitted of his crime that is.

but it is waived entirely for priests

What are you implying Harry? That the British coach in fact was a pastor, minister or a rabbi in disguise? You don’t waste much time to seize the opportunity and attack the Church even when the pervert turns out to be someone other than the man of the cloth, that goes for the rest of you who shamelessly bring religion into this debate.

The problem is the law, IMHO much to lenient on the convicted perpetrators, in cases like this when this sort of crime involves a minor, a life in prison should be standard or even a death penalty should be applied in cases where perpetrator had been convicted of multiple or repeat offence. The best checking system is the one that a potential perp imposes on himself knowing fully well that no lawyer nor his position in the community, some mitigating factor, a loophole or amount of money paid off to the victim family will get him out of punishment he/she deserves even if it was just an attempt to commit such crime.

As for this horny 47-year old British man in this case, I hope he gets what he deserves and more :)))

Life / Expats/Immigrants in Poland: Needy, Greedy or contributor. Which one are you? [118]

You normally find them sucking on the belly, of most tiger economies around the world.

Isn't that true of all expats around the world, no matter where they hail from originally? Usually it's the good paying job that brings them there in the first place. The wealth or poverty of the place and anything in between play no role. Always the same scenario, the expanding enterprise be it private or otherwise sends them there in search of the new El-Dorado, if it takes root the rest soon follows. Poland is no exception in this case. Besides can't you read? The topic is about the expats in Poland, your comment out of place.

What have you been smoking lately, tiger economy indeed, where? Been like that since the dawn of man, one thing in common, that initial boom eventually ends in bust. Sometimes it just takes longer to reach that point, though not in Irlands' case.

Integrated - Having come initially for a better life have decided to stay

And the greed rears it's ugly head once more, freely admitting it too. LOL Funny how you accuse others of doing exactly what all of us have done, including you. You're forgiven though, some of us just have no illusions as to what brings us to the strange foreign land.

So you stayed there, good for you but remember it's a bonus not the motivation. If you happen to like the place I see no reason not to.

USA, Canada / Polish man's visit a nightmare - Welcome To Canada [65]

It’s not about justice nor is it about revenge or taking a higher normal stand. Why do you seek rationalization for my proposal? In cases like this one there’s none, neither am I pretending to have one in my proposal. What I have proposed would strictly be a random act on an equal basis so nothing personal either but it sure as hell this kind of behavior would generate public outrage in no time at all as the reality would finally hit home; what happen to such and such is most likely happen to me as well. No longer a case of no skin off of my nose, perhaps then a debate would fallow as you would read more and more about your own citizens being detained for no reason, feel discriminated against or violated, after all we live in an information age and any confusion there might be can be resolved within hours not days or weeks.

When the subject is up front and personal government officials have no choice but to listen to the public instead of excusing it as a necessary evil “ incidents like that happen to one in ten thousand (or whatever figure they wish to throw at you) of the flying public”, “the procedures ware fallowed” “It’s for your own safety” etc. It’s all BS. Being on everyone’s mind as media hype grows it’s no longer to be ignored. When the dust finally settles perhaps the cooler heads would prevail and either reform the system or take a closer look at those that abuse their power and privilege in a clear cut case as this one instead of covering up for them stating “they were simply doing their job”.

As it stands; no one gives a flying f**, those that do this are simply being protected as it reflects badly on their supervisors and the government that employs them hence they excuse their behavior “simply doing their job” my ass, meanwhile an innocent suffer needlessly. This should neither happen nor be tolerated or ignored. No one wants to admit wrongdoing but when your own citizens are being mistreated it quickly draws the attention of the media and the public in turn puts the pressure on the authority to do something about it. Point is this sort of thing should not happen period so there’s no need for you to be sarcastic. What you’re doing in reality you encore this sort of behavior by not voicing your discourse, so that high moral stand on your part don’t work on me either.

You simply do what you’re told, since it’s not your business all the good the business you work for does is not of your prerogative, now is it? That puts you in the Greedy category as it seem to pay well and you simply do it for the money, now be honest.

USA, Canada / Polish man's visit a nightmare - Welcome To Canada [65]

Just like Poland as a whole was responsible for Roman Polanski.

If he was Polish the outcome would have been entirely different I can guarantee you that but the simple fact that he’s of Jewish origin born in France gained him the support and sympathy in some circles and a overseas shelter, where? We all know. Go fish, nice try but no cigar.

As for what happened in this case, a tit for tat is the best policy IMO, we should declare an open season on north Americans’ in general as Canadians are not the only ones lacking common sense and be done with it. Those are not isolated incidents but rather seem to be a policy.

History / Did British public protest against the sell out of Poland to the Soviets? [286]

which we both know you are

Oh please, twice I’ve pointed out to your own quote which was undeniable yet you still tried to wiggle out of it so what’s the point, you know your truth I know my. Although in all fairness most of the time it’s a half truth that you twist around which makes it that much worst to a casual reader as he doesn’t know any better.

What planet do you live on?

Of course your humble contribution is to be ignored. You know, the one that put us into this position in the first place. Let me be the better man, all is forgiven Harry. Feel better now?

But still you blame the British for not fighting to stop the Soviets having their way with Poland. Nice to see you being consistent in your delusions.

Oh I have no illusions, think of it this way Harry, by that time British bulldog was reduced in stature to that of the Chiwawa, so what fight you’re talking about, a lot of barking on your part still continues today, at least from you.

free and fair elections for Poland. Elections which Poles then prevented from taking place.

Show me one Polish official representative at that conference be it of the free Polish government in exile or even one that the Soviets would have a decency to put up as a stooge and we’ll talk. Of course the peasants’ with primary education were too stupid to do just that yet they managed to outfox the best and brightest that the British had to offer, a shame really which makes me think even that much less of you. Regardless of your manipulation of the facts of the matter that’s the God honest truth as to the future of Poland.

Yes I should be grateful that at least a hundred thousand Poles fought in the ranks of the Nazi armed forces.

Here we go, so much for the intelligent conversation on your part. Whatever delusions on my part there might have been surely I have none now.

History / Did British public protest against the sell out of Poland to the Soviets? [286]

Could you be so kind as to quote the lies which you accuse me of telling.

Where should I start I wonder, there’s so many.

Interesting approach

Interesting Isn’t it?

People like you sometimes make me wish that Britain hadn’t bothered signing the Anglo-Polish treaty: you have so much gratitude for the millions of Britain who fought in a war that was declared over Poland.

Same can be said about you. You hold what’s viewed as my ungratefulness in your eyes against me, I on the other hand 44 years of hell you prepared for us. Not even close Harry.

So what did Britain get as spoils of the war, other

What could you get? Face the reality Harry, nothing- you were in no position to impose your will being the smallest player of the three. By that time you were washouts and losers, although you lost a lot you still should be grateful you kept your freedom, something you have denied others at Yalta. Your very words are an insult to the Polish forces that died in defiance of your country. I guess that’s your way of expressing your eternal gratitude that you ask and expect of me.
