The PO regime

The PRL had their nomenklatura elite, and the PO regime had their oliagarch elite who took orders from foreign coporate interests. One wonders whether the marchers believe that after each of them has clocked 100 or maybe 500 kilometres, Petru will utter some magical incantation and presto -- platformer "democracy" will re-appear; in plain English -- high-sounding rhetoric for the masses and proftis and privileges for the chosen bankster clique!

resolutely pro-democracy

So they plan to march until they're blue in the face or until the next election?

A TNS Polska poll showed that if the following stood in the 2020 presidential elecftion they could expect the following support:
Duda 26, Petru 14, Kukiz 13, Tusk 9, Nowacka 6 and Kosiniak-Kamysz 3.

reasons

The reason is that they dislike the present government. But what end-scenario can the cold-weather marches lead to? That is the question!
No, many were not even born or were young kids during the 1980s so they couldn't have protested against PRL tyranny.

you won't miss out

I'm not worrying about missing out since I closely cover Polish affairs. But what scenario options have been put to the gullible marchers in the cold? They're freezing their b*llocks for only some vague notion of "marching for democracy". The trough-defenders appear to be purposely keeping them in the dark.

in the coffin

Any info on when the funeral is planned? Your Brit Bully mate Delph has so far evaded answering the question what end-scenario the deluded demonstrating masses think their marches in the freezing cold will bring about. Will they scare PiS into voluntarily stepping down or what?

endless

How do you define "endless": 2, 3, maybe 4? While you mull over the answer, do you know of any Polish political party that did/does not have ex-PZPR members in their ranks and appointed none to senior posts when in power?

PZPR-style anti-semitism.

So nwio you're accusing KOD or KOK of being anti-Semitic? When at a loss for an argument, whipping out the anti-Semitic card can be a convenient riposte.

sponsored

The Trough Defence Committee are a prime example of a sponsored agenda with people like Soros and his generously bankrolled front groups (like the Stefan Batory Foundation) pulling the strings behind the scenes.

Polonia is turning out

Who ever said Polonia cannot be deluded. But if you asked them what concrete scenario all the demos will bring about, they too will hum and haw and draw a blank expression just as you do.

demonstrations

You failed to explain which scenario the demonstrators think they will bring about!
Or do the Komitet Obrony Koryta rabble-rousers prefer to keep them in the dark with sweeping generalisations such as "march for demcoracy"?

defence of free media

USEFUL IDIOTS THINK THEY'RE MARCHING FOR DEMOCRACY!

The Petrus, Neumanns and other trough-defenders have told the masses they are allegedly "marching for democracy" or in "defence of free media", but have failed to explain what potential results the demonstrators can expect. Almost no-one has listed any possible scenarios:

1. PiS will become frightened of the demos and revamp their programme to resemble that of their PO predecessors and put PO and KOD people in charge of public media.

2. PiS will become extremely frightened and voluntarily step down so snap elections can be held.
3. Neither 1 or 2 will occur so the "street" will forcibly eject the current government as Wałęsa has suggested.
4. Since the government will resist point 3, the EU sends a contingent of armed "peace-keepers" to Poland to enforce the will of the "street".

5. Neither of the above occur, the government diligently work to fulfil their campaign pledges, and the opposition treat the country to 4 years of street demos ahead of the next election in 2019.

*** The rabble-rousers should at least have the decency to inform the marchers braving the freezing winter cold what the tentative outcome of their sacrifice may be.

News / Poland's Parliament adopting a 70% severance tax of departing state company bosses [21]

The Polish constitution speaks of a social market economy which is not cut-throat captilaism. The late Cardinal Wyszyński, an expert of Marxism and captialism, advocated a third road but the commies never let him develop it.

At least if Poland had developed a vibrant entrepreneurial class, Poles would have been ripped off by domestic exploiters but at least most of the proftis would have remained at home. As it is they are channelled to Berlin. New York, Brussels, Paris, Lisbon, Madrid or wherever.

living standards have improved for the majority

Living standards have improved for the majority of foreign banksters and other corporate exploiters as well as their Polish paid PR goons at the expense of the average Pole. Foreign corporations re-invest only a vare minimum of their profits in Poland just to keep thigns ticking over, whilst channelling the bulk to their home countries.

The profits would have remained in Poland If the early post-PRL governments had focused on creating a native Polish corporate sector rather than opting for the Balcerite sell-off of industrial assets for a song.

What's to prevent people

Trying to outfox someone is nothing new. That would mean that self-interest takes precedence over the common good. To prevent such abuses and ensure greater transparency those procedures would need to be closely monitored. But that would entail extra cost, so the greed of departing company bosses would harm the ordinary taxpayer.

People breaking the law

Tusk violated the constitution which says RP looks after and promotes the interests of the Polish nation by being in the pocket of foreign corporations using the euphemsim of being "market-friendly", And what? Was he impeached? Did he face the Tribunal of State? Did he land behind bars? No, he let his country be exploited, lined his cronies' pockets and was rewarded with a cushy EU post.

Duda continues to break the law

President Duda regards the TK matter as closed. There is nothing more to say about it unless you unless you wish to masochistically flog a dead horse.

continue to break Polish law

That's only the interpretation of the trough-defending losers. Was it not a violation of democracy for PO to have their own appointees hold 14 of the 15 TK posts and then try to perpetuate that monopoly by illicitly appointing additonal ones? That injustice had to be resolved and has been. Even so the losers still have a TK majorty. By rights, they should now also have only 1 appointee they way PiS did.

Don't you care about

Don't you care about the miscarriage of democracy serving only a privileged elite? See what a respected expert in the field says about it.

PiS EXPOSES POLAND'S DEFECTIVE DEMOCRACY
"We felt good in conditions of a democracy that didn't exist," explained poltical scientist Professor Kazimierz Kik. "When a party openly broached that question, an otucry ensued. PiS have shown the sad shape Polish democracy was in. Everything taking place in and around the Sejm points to the need too change the constituion."

I honestly don't see

Either you're retarded or pretending to be. Many people were opposed to having ex-commie Kuroń (who had sovietised the Poland's Scouting movement) in the Sejm representing the Solidarity side, or entrusting Gazeta Wyborcza to someone with from a KPP (judaeo-commie) family background, or handng Poland's eocnomy over to ex-commie Balcerowicz, or Tusk's inducting ex-commies Ćwiąkalski and Kudrycka into his government, etc., etc. But at times the lack of better canadidates or need for experitse or other considerations require such compromises. If you could turn a blind eye to the above-mentioend, why have you suddenly been engulfed by unholy outrage?! Have your trademark "objectivity" and "sense of fairness" kicked in again?!

Focusing on the past

Precisely! The 8 years of Platformerism has come and gone (thank God!), so there's no sense dwelling on the past. It's time to move on to newer and grearer things under the banners of a dynamic, truly pro-Polish party. The bankster-corporate lobbies have had their heyday, and that too is now passé!

never have a blind spot

Only if you drive a convertible! In fixed-roof cars the supporting pillars are always temporary blind spots. When one disappears another one appears.

break the law

Eight years of pulling the wool over the public's eyes and serving only the bankster-corporate lobby at the expense of the nation was also a crime. Somehow you always conveniently overlook that! If you and other trough-defending losers interpret the present govt's activities the way you do, at least their legislative offensive is in the ineterests of the entire notion, not just some wealthy, privilged elite.

Food / Where to go for the best steak in Warsaw? [77]

really tough

Yes, but Polish cuisine has developed tasty ways of using beef such as bitki w śmietanie and zrazy wołowe zawijane -- both melt-in-your-mouth tender!.

they're wrong

I'm simply an observer sharing my observations on PF, not trying to convince the masses. In a democratic country people are free to waste their time engaging in pointless and futile demos as long as they're non-violent.

a wave of demonstration

And what will it prove? Jan Kowalski will be deluded into thinking he is doing his bit for democracy, whilst the shakers and movers hope somehow to mayhem will return them to the trough. Somehow nobody seems to notice that each such demo is costing Polish taxpayers tens of thousansds of złotys by necessitating the mobilisation of considerable police forces to keep order and provide protection not to mention to huge sanitation costs after it's all over.

News / Adam Michnik awarded for integrity, professionalism and high standards. Poland's No. 1 fascist? [321]

you decide

During stalinism when baby Szechter was born out of wedlock ordinary citizens could make few independent decisions and whims were strictly frowned upon. Maybe such a rabid commie and strong nomenklatura type like Helena Michnik got special consideration. Whatever the case, he was born, raised and weaned in a post-KPP setting and that has permeated his entire thinking and Weltanschauung.
